Cada vez me entra más gusanillo por ver a los gorilas, comparado con Namibia y bostwana cuan fácil es organizar el viaje por nuestra cuenta? Como son las carreteras allí?

Yo no he estado en Namibia ni Bostwana, yo estuve el año pasado en noviembre, cogimos un todoterreno con conductor(Meddy) en Roadtripuganda, y fue una experiencia inolvidable y muy positiva, Meddy es un fenómeno y gracias a él vimos un montón de animales. La zona norte no la conozco pero en el resto del país, aunque en algunas zonas hay caminos, pero son buenos y prácticamente llegas con carreteras a todos los sitios. También te digo que están construyendo carreteras a pasos agigantados. La oferta hotelera no es muy abundante, nosotros estuvimos en unos hoteles muy majos, en fin que no, no es complicado organizarlo, un saludo.

45 días en Uganda, Ruanda, Congo y tal vez Kenya. Pero la mayoria serán en Uganda creo
Tengo un par de preguntas ya que he viajado mucho mundo pero nunca en Africa negra.
Viajaré por mi cuenta, mochilero total, sin nada organizado, transportes locales y mucha pacienca, mi tienda de dormir para cuando pueda usarla,..
Existen cajeros?? pregunta tonta puede pero me gustaria saber mas o menos cada cuanto tendré manera de sacar dinero ya que no me gusta viajar con demasiado dinero encima
Encontraré SIEMPRE sitio donde dormir? quiero decir...hasta en el pueblo mas abandonado habrá siempre alguien que alquila una camita con techo?
Cuanto deberia calcular que puedo gastar un día normal? con esto quiero decir dormir+comer+transportes (yo creo que podrian ser 15+10+5 dolares por dia). Obviamente todo luego depende de cuantos extra costs tendré pero ese es otro tema

Cajeros en las grandes ciudades.
Siempre encontrarás donde dormir si llevas tienda, si hablamos de ciudades o pueblos pequeños. Vas, buscas un buen lugar, preguntas por el prefecto (si es un pueblo) o por el dueño, pides permiso y ya. Lo lógico, en los pueblos, es que nadie te pida nada. Al levantarse y marchar, lo lógico también sería darle algo al prefecto. Si te pìden pasta, déjalo bien claro, porque algún listo te dirá que 40d´çolares por dormir en tu tienda.
Así pues, si llevas un buen colchoncillo podrás ahorrar dinero (si es lo que buscas). De todos modos, uganda no es "caro" comparado con la zona (salvo que haya subido mucho estos años) y vas en temporada baja, siempre podrás afilar los precios un poco.
La comida es bastante buena y barata también.
El único sitio donde pagarás dinero es para gorilear o subir y pernoctar en las rwenzori(si te diera por escalarlas).
Al final encontraste algo en congo para dormir y subir a ver los gorilas?

Bueno eso de "grandes ciudades" es un concepto cuestionable, jejeje, digamos "ciudades importantes", vamos de las que salen el google sin tener que ampliar mucho el zoom
Hoteles caros tampoco hay, nosotros pagamos por un superlujo, eso si un hotel local no turístico, unos 50$ tres personas con desayuno incluido y lavado del coche, pero solo duramos un día, al final preferimos irnos a una guesthouse no por nada, sino por el bullicio de la sala de fiestas del hotel, tuvimos la mala suerte de llegar a la ciudad en fin de semana, así que preferimos cambiarnos a una zona mas alejada del centro, y salimos ganando porque al día siguiente era domingo y fuimos deleitados con una misa gospel y una cena callejera a base de bbq en una bañera

Que es lo mejor que se puede regalar en esas tierras? a mi lo de boligrafos y colores nunca me ha convencido del todo. Hace un par de días un amigo me dijo que los medicamentos los aprecian mucho mas y no me pareció mala idea.
O productos de higiene. Incluso ropa interior

Es de agradecer una iniciativa tan bonita, pero yo nunca regalaria medicamentos a nadie. Entre otras cosas, no sabes el uso que se va ha hacer de ellos, ni el tipo de enfermedad que tiene a quien le vas a dar los medicamentos o las posibles alergias que tengan..... Un medicamento mal administrado puede producir mas daño que beneficio.

Eso que para nusotros puede resultar practicamente ofensivo, para ellos puede resultar muy dañino al no estar su cuerpo acostumbrado a este tipo de medicamentos. Si se quieren dar medicamentos durante algun viaje, lo mejor es dejarlos en un lugar donde puedan adminisrarlos de manera controlada, tipo dispensario medico o similar.

Los jaboncitos y botecitos de geles son muy apreciados. Nosotros llevamos siempre en el coche zumos, y cuando llegábamos a las aldeas solíamos regalarlos y paquetes de galletas, son productos que sin ser "golosinas" `para muchos niños era un festín y la primera vez que los probaban.
La ropa, nosotros cuando viajamos a África solemos volver sin nada, los últimos días vamos regalando prendas y el ultimo día hacemos un paquete con la ropa, productos de aseo, comida etc y lo donamos. _________________ MIS DIARIOS DE VIAJE:

Nosotros hicimos unos meses antes recogida de ropa de niño, libros para colorear, libretas, colores, calzado, etc... Todos tenemos amigos o conocidos con niños y siempre pueden darte algo de ropa.
Las repartimos en colegios, orfanatos y aldeas. No les vas a cambiar la vida, pero ese día se llevan un regalo inmenso para ellos.
Si alguien va a Uganda y le apetece llevarse una maleta con ropa y juguetes para nuestro proyecto en la escuela de Dzaipi, zona Adjumani...que me envie un mail a gerardporta@gmail.com. Lo recogeria mi cuñado en Entebbe/kampala.

Hola a todos, estamos preparando un viaje a Uganda para el año que viene, si alguien tuviese la información de un guia local sería magnífico. Además del placer vamos a desarrollar un proyecto solidario, así que el contacto es imprescindible.
Hola: he vuelto recientemente de una fabulosa excursión casi en solitario por Africa Oriental, y ante todo quiero agradecer a todo el foro en general, pues fácilmente el 70 % de lo realizado, nació o se perfeccionó en este querido ambiente (años atrás la experiencia asiática resultó similar) y en consecuencia algunos datos puedo ratificar y completar.
Respecto específicamente a Uganda, seguí los consejos de Marcoszf, de evidente experiencia en Uganda y con la enorme duda que me planteó una casi denuncia de usuarias que se habían sentido perjudicadas por el guía/driver por Marcos recomendado, igualmente me decidí a contratarlo.
El personaje en cuestión, Dominic Kizito, de su propia empresa/emprendimiento "Assured Uganda Safari", me esperó en el puesto de frontera con Ruanda cerca de Kisoro y Bwindi N.Forest, y doce días después nos despedimos en lago Nakuru, ya entrados en Kenia. Durante los 10 días de la excursión en Uganda, Dominic resultó un conductor y guía excepcional, con conocimiento pleno de horarios, lugares, personas, secretos y hasta trampitas necesarias...., pero a la par resultó un pésimo administrador o empresario, como quieran llamarlo. No puedo calificarlo de timador o tramposo pues me parece un tipo sincero..., pero no sabe sacar cuentas (habiéndole confiado ya todo el dinero pactado, dos veces: al 8° y al 10° día se quedó sin plata y en consecuencia el costo se me incrementó a mí, pues él no disponía ya ni de dinero ni tarjetas (ante mi enojo, confesó tenerlas bloqueadas...) y por lo tanto los gastos extras los afronté yo. Gasté 400 dólares más de lo planeado, pero me hizo conocer a la perfección todo lo visitable de Uganda. Otra temita es su camioneta Nissan, tiene veinte años y no es un ejemplo de mantenimiento estético (en mecánica y seguridad sí, esta muy bien), pero dados los precios que se manejan con él, y lo que piden las compañías con preciosas páginas web, es perfectamente razonable, para el viajero independiente y que no busca lujos, contratar a Dominic y su Nissan.
Recomiendo a Dominic como guía y como driver, pero, tal cual se lo dije a él y también a Marcos, que de alguna manera lo "apadrinó" o presentó a este foro, recomiendo contratarlo como guia y driver a un monto diario (conmigo fue de 80 dólares diarios por su función más la provisión del vehículo, con combustible, alojamiento y gastos de Parques a mi cargo) y todo el resto a administrar por el viajero, pues él es muy limitado para eso. Su otro límite es Uganda, en apenas día y medio en Kenia con él quedó claro que no tenía nada que ver su conocimiento del país vecino comparado con su dominio del propio.

Estoy viendo opciones para organizar viaje a Uganda. A ver si me podéis echar una mano.. Por un lado, estamos en contacto con Mamaland Safaris, que veo que habéis tenido buenas experiencias. Por otro, me planteo si hacerlo por libre. Os copio el recorrido que me proponen (que a la vez tiene mayoritariamente lo que queríamos):
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kampala, arrival at .............. Your safari guide picks you at the airport and you transfer to Kampala to check in to the hotel and rest after the flight. Overnight in Maries Royale
Day 2: Transfer to Jinja and visit source of the Nile, then continue on to spend the night by Ziwa rhino sanctuary We leave busy Kampala at leisure and make the journey to the town Jinja. Here the mighty Nile makes its start on the journey towards the Mediterranean and you go for a boat-ride to see the source of the Nile. We then have lunch and in the afternoon make the journey to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to spend the night. Overnight in Ziwa Guesthouse
Day 3: Rhino trekking in the morning then transfer to Kidepo valley national park After breakfast you go to meet the rhinos in Ziwa rhino sanctuary. In the sanctuary they are working to reintroduce rhinos in Uganda and you go with a specialized guide for a walk to see them. Then you start the journey towards Kidepo Valley national park, having lunch in Gulu along the way. Proceed with the drive to enter Kidepo valley national park with brief game drive en route to the lodge. Overnight at Apoka Hostel bandas
Day 4: Transfer meeting with Karamojong people and evening Game-drive in Kidepo Valley National Park After breakfast set off for Kidepo valley National Park. In a landscape of vast plains and semi-arid savannah framed by jagged mountains and wooded hills, Kidepo is one of the wildest and most spectacular reserves in Africa. On arrival before entering the park have a cultural experience that will bring you into contact with Karamojong peoples at Karenna and Kapedo. Meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them. They will show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting items. Overnight at Apoka hostel bandas
Day 5: A day to explore Kidepo Valley NP, morning & evening game-drives The morning-game drive takes us towards Natabba gate area for the cheetahs and other lower grassland mammals. The landscape throughout Kidepo Valley national park is studded with small hills, rocky outcrops and inselbergs from which one can obtain stunning views in all directions enjoy panoramic views of the Narus River Valley and photographic opportunities of wildlife from all corners. An evening game drive along the Narus River Valley for game Viewing and photography of Elephants, herds of Buffaloes, Jackals, Jackson's Hartebeest, Klipspringer and possibly Lions. Overnight at Apoka hostel bandas
Day 6: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. The Giraffe Paradise!
After breakfast we leave Kidepo Valley national park, maybe catching some last sights of its animals as we drive out. Continue on through remote parts of Uganda through the city of Gulu and on to the lodge by Murchison Falls national park. We arrive in the afternoon and relax at the lodge. Day 7: Game-drive & boat-cruise in Murchison Falls National Park
In the morning we set off for a game-drive in Murchison Falls national park. On the broad savannah you search for big cats, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffalos, plus more as the checklist of mammals reaches 76. We continue browsing the circuits to the delta point for a cocktail of birds and mammals. In the afternoon you go for the 2pm boat ride on the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls where you get to see the Hippos (You have never seen more hippos yawning, Grooming in there Pods anywhere else than here- Believe me you), Nile Crocodiles, Elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks. If you are a keen birder this might be your magnet to catch them. After the boat-cruise we head back to the lodge Overnight at Twiga Tales Lodge
Day 8: Game-drive, visit to the top of the falls In the early morning we head into the park for another chance to explore Murchison Falls NP with its giraffes, elephants and lions. After the morning game-drive we drive for a visit to the top of the magnificent Murchison Falls. Here an explosive dash of water at close range gushes through a narrow crevice before the Nile continues its journey towards the Mediterranean. We then continue on to the town Masindi for lunch at Uganda’s oldest hotel; Masindi hotel that is known for having hosted Hemingway and Humprey Bogart. Overnight Budongo Eco Lodge
Day 9: Transfer to the crater lakes area by Fort Portal After breakfast transfer towards the crater lakes area by Fort Portal. It’s a long drive with our target to have lunch in Fort portal as the distance was cut yesterday the pressure and fatigue is lessened. A punctuation of stopovers at sceneries like the Rift valley escarpment on Lake Albert - typical African village setup in the far countryside and tea plantations along the drive offer us chances of stretching. We check in late afternoon to an area with an amazing display of primates and lovely scenery. Overnight Isunga lodge
Day 10: Explore the crater lakes area and community walk in Kyambura
Crater exploration with a walk to Crater Lake, if you are lucky you might see different species of Monkeys, such as red colobus, red tailed monkey and bush babies. More in the forest canopy colored aviation creatures-butterflies various bird species like the native Great blue Turaco, joyful greenbul, olive long tailed cuckoo, the superb black bee eater. Then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, having lunch along the way. Option to drive further southwards with the Rwenzori ranges (Longest in Africa) in view or drive through the Crater lakes in the Hills through to sample out the surprising diversity of Savannah trees and wildlife! In the late afternoon after arriving at the lodge in Kyambura we stretch our legs with a community walk to the close by village and beautiful Crater Lake. Overnight in Pumba safari cottages
Day 11: Game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park Start the day with a warm breakfast before enjoying the game drive. After lunch it is time for the Classic highlight of the 2hrs boat-cruise on the famous Kazinga channel, a 36kms channel linking Lake George to Lake Edward. On the banks you can see land and water Adapted Hippopotamuses Yawning and some slashing canines to each other, the National Geographical society Killing machine the Nile Crocodile gaping along the Banks and Savannah versions of Pigs the Warthog- Pumba of the award winning Lion King are a hallmark sign in this Animal home! Day 12: Full day Queen Elizabeth National park with Ishasha's tree-climbing lions Today is yet another great day to explore experience the amazing nature of Queen Elizabeth national park. We explore the Kasenyi Plains with great chances of seeing kobs mating before we head out to the famous adventurous vast savannah of the Ishasha area of Queen Elizabeth NP with Topis, the southern version of Elephants and hopefully with the lions high in the Fig tree branches. This is one of two areas in Africa where lions have the habit of regularly climbing trees to take a rest. Overnight at Topi Lodge Ishasha
Day 13: Morning game drive Ishasha and transfer to Ruhija sector of the Eastern Bwindi Impenetrable NP With an early game drive in the vast Ishasha plains, we look out for predators like Lions, hyenas and leopard before coming to the lodge for the brunch and later Transfer to Ruhija sector of the Eastern Bwindi mountain gorillas through a beautiful drive taking you from the savanna via cultivated hills to the jungle covered mountains of Bwindi. (If we reach early we can do the walk and mix with the locals or relax with the Orphans group performers) Overnight at Gorilla mist Camp
Day 14: Gorilla trekking day- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the mountain gorillas. You will be taken in a group by a specialized guide into the jungle for your gorilla trekking adventure. Trek through the beautiful nature and spend one hour with the gorillas, an unforgettable experience. This Impenetrable Forest is also full of birds, butterflies and plant species plus forest hog, forest elephants, statungas and duikers. After the trek your guide picks you and you transfer to Lake Bunyonyi through cultivated hills. After this afternoon drive we check in to a lake 1840m above sea level for some rest. It is deservedly nice after trotting from Kampala since day 1 and some early starts - without any rest! Overnight Bunyonyi Eco Resort (Lake Bunyonyi this night will depend on which group or time registered back after trekking.)
Day 15: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park After breakfast transfer to Lake Mburo, the ‘Zebra magnet’. Leave Lake Bunyonyi and continue driving through the hilly areas. Arrive in the park and have lunch at the lodge before heading for an afternoon game drive for view of Zebras, Giraffes, Topis, Warthogs, cape buffaloes and impalas. Overnight in Rwakobo Rock
Day 16: Safari walks by Lake Mburo National Park and transfer to Entebbe airport for flight Early morning safari walks from the lodge. Get early up for chance to see zebras, waterbucks, birds and buffaloes in there day break jungle life! After the walk it is time for breakfast at the lodge before you start the drive to Entebbe. Have at the Equator and take the chance for some photo poses where the southern- and northern hemispheres meet. We have reached the end of the Uganda from north to south safari and drive back through to Entebbe for flight in the evening/night (if flight next day possible to add an extra night).
Me pregunto:
- No son muchas horas de Ziwa a Kidepo?
- Merece la pena todos los boat tours que proponen? (miedo me da por otro lado que se hundan donde los hipos...ajajja)
- Alguna cosa que "sobre"?Cómo veis el recorrido en general? Es demasiado?
- COnocer a los Karamojong me parece muy interesante, pero no así, tan "preparado", no me siento cómoda...no sé, qué pensáis?
- Siendo para septiembre y con todo incluido (permisos, alojamiento, coche..) qué os parece 3500usd por persona? Creo haber leído de algunos de vosotros que habéis hecho con ellos por menos los mismos días.
- Estamos acostumbradas a viajar por libre y a low cost pero para este viaje nos planteábamos esta opción (aunque me sigue pareciendo caro)...me da miedo que no nos sintamos a gusto con todo tan guiado pero por tema carreteras, encontrar animales...mejor así?

Todo lo que propones está bien y te proporcionará una visión general, pero standard, de Uganda. Visitarás los sitios típicos y harás lo mismo que todo el mundo, que no está mal. A mi también me parece caro, eso sí.
Dicho esto, nosotros te recomendamos SIN NINGUNA DUDA que lo hagas por libre. Por si te vale de referencia nosotros hicimos casi todo lo que pones tú (algunas cosas no, pero en cambio hicimos otras que tu no pones) por unos 1000 euros menos. De todos modos casi te diría que eso es lo de menos. Lo más importante de hacerlo por libre es la libertad que te da. Si te quieres quedar un día mas en un sitio te quedas, si te quieres saltar un punto, te lo saltas, y si quieres ir sin programar nada como hicimos nosotros, pues lo haces.
Nosotros alquilamos el coche en Road Trip Uganda, fuimos al super en Kampala, y a partir de ahí a la aventura. Inolvidable...

Day 3: Rhino trekking in the morning then transfer to Kidepo valley national park After breakfast you go to meet the rhinos in Ziwa rhino sanctuary. In the sanctuary they are working to reintroduce rhinos in Uganda and you go with a specialized guide for a walk to see them. Then you start the journey towards Kidepo Valley national park, having lunch in Gulu along the way. Proceed with the drive to enter Kidepo valley national park with brief game drive en route to the lodge. Overnight at Apoka Hostel bandas
Day 4: Transfer meeting with Karamojong people and evening Game-drive in Kidepo Valley National Park After breakfast set off for Kidepo valley National Park. In a landscape of vast plains and semi-arid savannah framed by jagged mountains and wooded hills, Kidepo is one of the wildest and most spectacular reserves in Africa. On arrival before entering the park have a cultural experience that will bring you into contact with Karamojong peoples at Karenna and Kapedo. Meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them. They will show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting items. Overnight at Apoka hostel bandas
Day 5: A day to explore Kidepo Valley NP, morning & evening game-drives The morning-game drive takes us towards Natabba gate area for the cheetahs and other lower grassland mammals. The landscape throughout Kidepo Valley national park is studded with small hills, rocky outcrops and inselbergs from which one can obtain stunning views in all directions enjoy panoramic views of the Narus River Valley and photographic opportunities of wildlife from all corners. An evening game drive along the Narus River Valley for game Viewing and photography of Elephants, herds of Buffaloes, Jackals, Jackson's Hartebeest, Klipspringer and possibly Lions. Day 6: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. The Giraffe Paradise!
After breakfast we leave Kidepo Valley national park, maybe catching some last sights of its animals as we drive out. Continue on through remote parts of Uganda through the city of Gulu and on to the lodge by Murchison Falls national park. We arrive in the afternoon and relax at the lodge. Day 7: Game-drive & boat-cruise in Murchison Falls National Park
In the morning we set off for a game-drive in Murchison Falls national park. On the broad savannah you search for big cats, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffalos, plus more as the checklist of mammals reaches 76. We continue browsing the circuits to the delta point for a cocktail of birds and mammals. In the afternoon you go for the 2pm boat ride on the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls where you get to see the Hippos (You have never seen more hippos yawning, Grooming in there Pods anywhere else than here- Believe me you), Nile Crocodiles, Elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks. If you are a keen birder this might be your magnet to catch them. After the boat-cruise we head back to the lodge Overnight at Twiga Tales Lodge
Day 8: Game-drive, visit to the top of the falls In the early morning we head into the park for another chance to explore Murchison Falls NP with its giraffes, elephants and lions. After the morning game-drive we drive for a visit to the top of the magnificent Murchison Falls. Here an explosive dash of water at close range gushes through a narrow crevice before the Nile continues its journey towards the Mediterranean. We then continue on to the town Masindi for lunch at Uganda’s oldest hotel; Masindi hotel that is known for having hosted Hemingway and Humprey Bogart. Overnight Budongo Eco Lodge
Day 9: Transfer to the crater lakes area by Fort Portal After breakfast transfer towards the crater lakes area by Fort Portal. It’s a long drive with our target to have lunch in Fort portal as the distance was cut yesterday the pressure and fatigue is lessened. A punctuation of stopovers at sceneries like the Rift valley escarpment on Lake Albert - typical African village setup in the far countryside and tea plantations along the drive offer us chances of stretching. We check in late afternoon to an area with an amazing display of primates and lovely scenery. Overnight Isunga lodge
Day 10: Explore the crater lakes area and community walk in Kyambura
Crater exploration with a walk to Crater Lake, if you are lucky you might see different species of Monkeys, such as red colobus, red tailed monkey and bush babies. More in the forest canopy colored aviation creatures-butterflies various bird species like the native Great blue Turaco, joyful greenbul, olive long tailed cuckoo, the superb black bee eater. Then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, having lunch along the way. Option to drive further southwards with the Rwenzori ranges (Longest in Africa) in view or drive through the Crater lakes in the Hills through to sample out the surprising diversity of Savannah trees and wildlife! In the late afternoon after arriving at the lodge in Kyambura we stretch our legs with a community walk to the close by village and beautiful Crater Lake. Overnight in Pumba safari cottages
Day 11: Game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park Start the day with a warm breakfast before enjoying the game drive. After lunch it is time for the Classic highlight of the 2hrs boat-cruise on the famous Kazinga channel, a 36kms channel linking Lake George to Lake Edward. On the banks you can see land and water Adapted Hippopotamuses Yawning and some slashing canines to each other, the National Geographical society Killing machine the Nile Crocodile gaping along the Banks and Savannah versions of Pigs the Warthog- Pumba of the award winning Lion King are a hallmark sign in this Animal home! Day 12: Full day Queen Elizabeth National park with Ishasha's tree-climbing lions Today is yet another great day to explore experience the amazing nature of Queen Elizabeth national park. We explore the Kasenyi Plains with great chances of seeing kobs mating before we head out to the famous adventurous vast savannah of the Ishasha area of Queen Elizabeth NP with Topis, the southern version of Elephants and hopefully with the lions high in the Fig tree branches. This is one of two areas in Africa where lions have the habit of regularly climbing trees to take a rest. Overnight at Topi Lodge Ishasha
Day 13: Morning game drive Ishasha and transfer to Ruhija sector of the Eastern Bwindi Impenetrable NP With an early game drive in the vast Ishasha plains, we look out for predators like Lions, hyenas and leopard before coming to the lodge for the brunch and later Transfer to Ruhija sector of the Eastern Bwindi mountain gorillas through a beautiful drive taking you from the savanna via cultivated hills to the jungle covered mountains of Bwindi. (If we reach early we can do the walk and mix with the locals or relax with the Orphans group performers) Overnight at Gorilla mist Camp
Day 14: Gorilla trekking day- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the mountain gorillas. You will be taken in a group by a specialized guide into the jungle for your gorilla trekking adventure. Trek through the beautiful nature and spend one hour with the gorillas, an unforgettable experience. This Impenetrable Forest is also full of birds, butterflies and plant species plus forest hog, forest elephants, statungas and duikers. After the trek your guide picks you and you transfer to Lake Bunyonyi through cultivated hills. After this afternoon drive we check in to a lake 1840m above sea level for some rest. It is deservedly nice after trotting from Kampala since day 1 and some early starts - without any rest! Overnight Bunyonyi Eco Resort (Lake Bunyonyi this night will depend on which group or time registered back after trekking.)
Day 15: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park After breakfast transfer to Lake Mburo, the ‘Zebra magnet’. Leave Lake Bunyonyi and continue driving through the hilly areas. Arrive in the park and have lunch at the lodge before heading for an afternoon game drive for view of Zebras, Giraffes, Topis, Warthogs, cape buffaloes and impalas. Overnight in Rwakobo Rock
Day 16: Safari walks by Lake Mburo National Park and transfer to Entebbe airport for flight Early morning safari walks from the lodge. Get early up for chance to see zebras, waterbucks, birds and buffaloes in there day break jungle life! After the walk it is time for breakfast at the lodge before you start the drive to Entebbe. Have at the Equator and take the chance for some photo poses where the southern- and northern hemispheres meet. We have reached the end of the Uganda from north to south safari and drive back through to Entebbe for flight in the evening/night (if flight next day possible to add an extra night).

- Merece la pena todos los boat tours que proponen? (miedo me da por otro lado que se hundan donde los hipos...ajajja)
- Alguna cosa que "sobre"?Cómo veis el recorrido en general? Es demasiado?
- COnocer a los Karamojong me parece muy interesante, pero no así, tan "preparado", no me siento cómoda...no sé, qué pensáis?
- Siendo para septiembre y con todo incluido (permisos, alojamiento, coche..) qué os parece 3500usd por persona? Creo haber leído de algunos de vosotros que habéis hecho con ellos por menos los mismos días.
- Estamos acostumbradas a viajar por libre y a low cost pero para este viaje nos planteábamos esta opción (aunque me sigue pareciendo caro)...me da miedo que no nos sintamos a gusto con todo tan guiado pero por tema carreteras, encontrar animales...mejor así?

Bea, suscribo practicamente todo lo que te sugieren David y Fátima, o la opción que usé yo, que está descripta dos mendajes antes que el tuyo, en la misma página 36..., le agregaría el whatsapp de Dominic (Assured Uganda Safari) +256 772 697247, excelente driver y guía y pésimo administrador de dinero, con las reservas que ahí mismo explico..., me parece una enormidad gastar tanto dinero y si bien Uganda es hermosa, e irrepetible, no creo valga dedicarle más de 10 ó 12 días, y menos con empresas grandes que te hacen perder enorme cantidad de tiempo en juntar la gente y salir en grupo. Anímate a salir por libre o con un driver medio limitado como lo fue el mío, es lo mejor. Lo más imperdible de ese país es la visita a los gorilas y los chimpancés, que son caras pero valen la pena, son algo extraordinario (suponiendo que como buen curioso por Africa, te apasionan los animales). Esas dos visitas tenés que prepararlas con tiempo y precisión y organizar el resto del viaje en función de eso, incluso Dominic en eso puede ayudar...
