Kagoshima, el Nápoles de Japçon, encanta a los visitantes con su aspecto meridional, su hermosa bahía, la imponente presencia del volcán Sakurajima, cerca de los baños de arena de Ibusuki y el campo marcado por la historia: la católica, ya que es aquí donde desembarcó San Francisco Javier, el de los samurai y el kamikaze en Chiran.
También es un punto de partida para la encantadora isla de Yakushima, catalogado como Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO por su carácter excepcional.

El tren de pasajeros "Ibusuki no Tamatebako" literalmente "la caja del tesoro de Ibusuki", dedicado a la leyenda de Urashima Taro, * conocido por todos los japoneses.

La zona comercial de la ciudad se organiza alrededor de arcadas cubiertas (shotengai), Tenmokan Dori y Sennichi Dori, y Bunka Dori.
Cerca del acuario y la zona del ferry a sakurajima está el dolphin Port, situado en frente al mar, con tiendas y restaurantes con vistas a la bahía y al volcán Sakurajima.
Kagoshima no es que sea una ciudad llena de cosas que vale la pena visitar...sirve de puerto de acceso a yakushima y el famoso volcán sakurajima...
Nos gustó el Aquarium (hacen descuento con el welcome cute pass)
Peroooooo...hacen espectáculos con delfines así que puede herir sensibilidades
Después de visitar otros puede decepcionar un poco

En tenmonkandori también hay un restaurante de hielo picado con siropes qeu es tan típico en verano. Parce bastante popular y hay horas en las que hay cola para entrar. Tienen bastante variedad y es una buena opción si quereis probar algo típico del verano. Al final es agua con azucar y fruta, pero es curioso y sobre todo si vais en verano, muy refrescante.
