...countries around the world including Britain, Belgium, Botswana, Germany, Italy, Hong Kong, Israel and the Czech Republic.

“SA Tourism’s short term strategic initiatives and trade engagements in key source markers were starting to pay off as we saw an increase in bookings with more and more travellers wanting to visit South Africa again. Over the last few months, we also witnessed increased optimism and confidence towards our country with more airlines reinstating direct flights to South Africa and more strategic partners engaging with us in the promotion of the South African tourism sector. We were truly on the right trajectory to save jobs in our industry. This latest development is certainly going to have a devastating effect on our tourism industry, airlines and business partners,” says South African Tourism, Acting Chief Executive Officer, Sthembiso Dlamini.

“We would like to emphasize that our country remains open for all those travellers who wish to visit. We also encourage all South Africans to continue with their plans to go out there to explore and enjoy travelling within South Africa, while observing guidelines laid out by the national command centre from time to time. The resilience of domestic tourism is key to the recovery of South Africa’s tourism sector and to the economy as this helps avoid any further job losses,” adds Dlamini.

“The latest travel bans on South Africa are extremely disappointing and premature considering the limited information we have about this new variant. Whilst we cannot control the international market, we can control how we handle the crisis domestically, and will support the government to amplify vaccination opportunities and protect lives and livelihoods that depend on the tourism industry. Further restrictions will exacerbate an already devastated and ailing tourism industry and will negatively affect various other industries in South Africa.” said Tshifhiwa Tshivhengwa, CEO of the Tourism Business Council of South Africa.

Although there is currently limited data on the new variant as has been noted by WHO, our scientists are working around the clock, using established surveillance systems to understand the new variant and to allow for the most effective interventions. We welcome the government's response and will support all efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19 and to deal with the consequences of the pandemic.

We have complete confidence in the country’s health sector, which has demonstrated resilience, competence and excellent expertise since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020. Over and above this, South Africa’s businesses have provided safe tourism products, venues and establishments by implementing and adhering to globally benchmarked health and safety protocols and norms and standards. We would like to encourage these businesses to continue enforcing these protocols. The importance of non-pharmaceutical interventions such as the compulsory wearing of masks, maintaining social distancing and regular washing of hands as well as socially distanced limited gatherings in well-ventilated spaces remain in place. The safety of South African residents and all visitors to the country remains of the utmost importance.

We would like to also remind South Africans of the importance of getting vaccinated. As a country, we know that our biggest weapon against COVID-19 at this stage is vaccination and observing of the non-pharmaceutical...

The immense spaces of East Africa beckon with their animal-rich savannahs, snow-capped mountains, and beguiling ancient cultures. This is where the African safari came to be, land of the big cats, the great primates – gorilla and chimpanzee, and home to the mighty rhino and great tusked elephant.

Look to East Africa’s western skies for fiery sunsets and the epic Rift Valley formations, of towering Mt. Kilimanjaro, snow-peaked Mt. Kenya, and the lush realm of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Here in the cradle of civilization, we invite you to meet and get to know the Maasai and Samburu tribes in Kenya, the gracious folk of Tanzania, the ever-striving citizens of Rwanda, and the always welcoming Ugandans.

When thinking of East Africa, you may picture its rolling hills, riverine forests, and sprawling landscapes, but the beaches, islands and marine parks you’ll find here just may be the world’s finest.

This is a spectacular world just waiting for your discovery. The land, the wildlife and the people of East Africa are unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere on our planet.

Lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, gorillas, chimps and monkeys – they are all here in unending abundance. Our wildlife parks specialize in sightings of your favorites.

For the BIG CATS roaming the savannah or lazing about in the trees –
Whether you’re exploring the nightlife of Nairobi, the music in Dar es Salaam, the cuisine of Kigali, the markets of Kampala, or spending time at Samburu or Maasai villages, the people you’ll meet in East Africa are as varied as their countries and cultures.
But they all have a distinct way of welcoming you into their lives as if you were expected. Come to East Africa and make that someday… today.

Let the excitement begin in a land and with people you’ll never forget. Natural World Kenya Safaris specializes in safaris in the countries of East Africa and its finest parks.

Por ejemplo, "I live in Alabama" puede sonar como "Aah liv' in Alabama?".

Good luck y'all...

Quote::
Cliff areas beyond the fenced boundaries, including the BEACH, SADDLE ROCK and MCWAY FALLS area are completely off limits. Trespassing into these closed areas is a serious offense, resulting in a citation and arrest. The areas are extremely hazardous. Failure to respect the boundaries has resulted in complex rescue operations and tragic loss of lives. Please stay on the trail and out of these closed areas.

Every seat taken has to pay, and a baby must sit in a special seat (which we have in the bus). It's not allowed to hold the baby while driving. The same prices also for elderly people. But, if you are 14 + baby, I will give you a discount of Nok 430. If you are 15 + baby, this gives you a discount of 10% (Nok 688).

This tour is a good one for all ages. Transport time is approx 2,5 hours + stops on the road 1 hour. You will be able to see the glacier from the parking, not touch or walk on it. Then a new view from the Glaciercenter (cafe, souvenirs, toilets).

Departure time is normally when the bus i full. If you have a group og 15-16 people you can choose when to leave. Payment by Paypal or cash (and hopfully by then, card) 30 min before departure in the VisitSkjolden booth in the center of Skjolden (900 m from the ship). But, if you fill up the bus, you can be picked up at the dock.

Please let me know if you have other questions, Patricia. I will answer asap when I can, but this weekend is very busy.

...E and like I said without guide. The price is Nok 430 per person.

All the best from Skjolden
