Viajamos a Londres el 21 de julio y hemos leído que el 23 empieza la huelga de metro.
Alguién podria decirme como son las huelgas de metro en Londres?
Son muy estrictos? Ponen transporte alternativo? Qué me aconsejáis? Pensabámos movernos en metro y ahora no sabemos que alternativa usar...

You do not need to quarantine on arrival or take a COVID-19 test on or before day 2 and day 8. This applies if you are transiting airside or landside.

remain within your port of entry until your departure from England, or
travel directly from your port of entry to another port of departure in England

El problrema lo tengo yo y a ver si le ha pasado a alguien....mi escala es nocturna hago noche en y salgo al día siguiente.
Segun leo hay que permanecer en tu puerto de entrada hasta que te vayas por lo que yo cogi un hotel en el aeropuerto pero ojo....no DENTRO del aeropuerto sino de los que te lleva el bus....por lo que he leído esos hoteles no valen y te obligan a coger el test aunque estes dentro de las 24 horas....
Alguna experiencia sobre esto?de verdad solo valen los hoteles de DENTRO del aeropuerto?
Yo diría que tendrías que pagar y reservar la prueba aunque por estar menos de 48 horas no haría falta que te la hicieras, lo cual le quita la utilidad que tendría que tener, ya que al salir del aeropuerto, se te tendría que controlar si das positivo o no...
Nadie va a ir detrás de ti a ver si pasas la noche en el aeropuerto o te vas a un hotel, tu eres quien pone en el formulario que estás en tránsito, no que te quedes en un hotel, pero si sales del aeropuerto, yo entiendo que te has de hacer el antigenos, comprarlo y que te lo envíen al hotel donde vas a pasar la noche hacerte la prueba y hacérsela llegar a través de la app o la web del laboratorio según las instrucciones del mismo.
Repito que es lo que entiendo yo.
Pued chico vaya palo...porque british me cambio los vuelos y me obligó a hacer escala al principio y al final y dijimis bueno vale pues no vamos a Londres pero para esa tarde cogemos un hotel con piscina pak los peques esten entretenidos....
Ojo realmente en la pagina oficial dice que debed permanecer en tu puerto de entrada....pero que es realmente el aeropuerto?si yo cojo un hotel que llevq en su nombre cadena hotel T5 y está a menos de 1 milla no es el aeropuerto?deberian ser mas.claros porque esto da lugar a interpretaciones.
A la vuelta si lo tengo mas claro. Son menos de 48 horas asik tengo k comprarlos aunque no estoy obligada a hacerlos(salvo k eso cambie con los antigenos que tienen resultados rapidos)

Algun@ ha cumplimentado el documento de UK para el aeropuerto ? Yo hago escala 4 h y cojo un vuelo diferente a Islandia , me gustaría saber si con poner la opción de ; Cambie de vuelo en el Reino Unido en un plazo de 24 horas, sin pasar por el control fronterizo del Reino Unido_____ es correcta !! Ya que cojo vuelos diferentes y tengo q volver a facturar maleta . GRACIAS
Supongo q sabes que recoger el equipaje y volver a facturar implica pasar el control fronterizo.
En tu caso, el tránsito se hace en tierra por lo que tienes que elegir la opción "Stay in UK" en la información de tus planes de viaje. Responde NO a cualquier otra pregunta sobre si debes hacer pruebas de día 2 u 8. Luego,

El OP parece no tener una exención de tránsito (solo transitar no es una exención).
Debe pasar el control fronterizo, por tanto, esa regla no aplica.

Según tengo entendido, librarse de cuarentena para los vacunados con pauta completa solo es válido para residentes en Reino Unido, o al menos así lo interpreta la BBC:
"Fully vaccinated UK residents arriving in England from amber travel list destinations will no longer have to quarantine from 19 July."
"This policy only applies to those jabbed in the UK, meaning those jabbed abroad will still have to quarantine if coming from an amber list country."

Según esto si que puede tener uno problemas si va Hampton Court con un billete de Old Street a Islington...
Para las visitas de Londres "centro" también si se ponen estrictos, aunque un billete de Clapham a Victoria te lleva al centro y desde Clapham no se me ocurre como puedes ir en tren ya que no hay una estación mas cercana claramente que Victoria por ejemplo si vamos a los museos de Exhibition Road ... en fin ...

A ver si me podéis echar una mano porque me estoy liando un poco. Somos 4 adultos y 4 niños mayores de 5 menores de 11 que queremos ir del Aeropuerto de Gatwick a la estación de Victoria. Ida a partir de las 19 horas. Vuelta 4 dais mas tarde a partir de las 12 horas. Tengo la tarjeta family and friends de tren.
Si hago una búsqueda en nationalrail.co.uk para este viaje, con la posibilidad de la ida y la vuelta abiertos a cualquier tren el precio es de 114 Libras.
Si hago la misma búsqueda en southwesternrailway.com para este viaje me sale esta tarifa:

Es decir, ida y vuelta 4 días mas tarde (no pone nada de same day return ni nada parecido) en el servicio que quiera y además una travelcard por cabeza para viajar en el día de la llegada a Londres. Entiendo que Off-peak puedo viajar en el tren que quiera tanto a la ida como a la vuelta si viajo en las horas que voy a viajar (aquí se puede leer)
El precio es de 60 Libras. 54 Libras mas barato e incluye travelcard.
O yo me estoy equivocando o que alguien me explique donde está el truco...

Parece que National Rail te da el precio de "anytime" mientras que Southern - entiendo que es Southern y no Southwestern ... - te da un precio "advance" que sólo es válido para esos días concretos de día y vuelta.

Es decir, ida y vuelta 4 días mas tarde (no pone nada de same day return ni nada parecido, pone return claramente) en el servicio que quiera y además una travelcard por cabeza para viajar en el día de la llegada a Londres. Entiendo que Off-peak puedo viajar en el tren que quiera tanto a la ida como a la vuelta si viajo en las horas que voy a viajar (aquí se puede leer)

Seguramente me esté equivocando pero no se donde. Yo he seleccionado open return que es "a flexible ticket that doesn't make you choose a specific time or date to return. They're valid for one calendar month from the date of the outward journey"
Se ha celebrado estos ultimos 4 días la Feria de Viajes Destinations - The Travel Show 2019. Yo estuve ayer y había mucha gente. Además han ampliado el espacio abriendo el segundo piso para que haya más stands, trasladando ahí además los salones de actos para los Eventos de "Meet the Experts". Sin embargo los actos organizados por la librería Standfords han seguido teniendo lugar en su espacio habitual en la planta baja.
Standfords, Bradt Guides, The Times-The Sunday Times (que es el día en que se suele publicar semanalmente el suplemento de viajes del Times) y AER o Asociación de EcoTurismo de Rumanía han sido los principales sponsors este año.
Además, como todos los años, había un espacio dedicado a SAnidad Viajera en el que los expertos proporcionaban consejo gratuito (en el llamado MASTA Travel Zone). Habia por otro lado una zona dedicada a la gastronomía denominada Taste the World y el acostumbrado espacio de la revista de viajes Wanderlust, presente todos los años, donde se realizan cursos de fotografía de viajes y se presenta un concurso-exposición fotográfico donde el público puede votar por sus fotos preferidas, entrando así en un sorteo en el que premiaban material fotográfico. La verdad es que las fotos eran alucinantes y era dificil elegir tu favorita...
