Xanzi es ademas la cuna de Manos Jatzidakis, el autor de los chicos de Pireo.
Yendo a Alexandropuli hay un lago abierto al mar (tipo mar menor) en el cual hay una pequeña isla con un pequeño monasterio. Un lugar ideal si no hay gente.
En Komotiní hay una población minoritaria, los pomacos, de religion musulmana, unico sitio de Grecia donde he visto una mezquita...con su minarete, claro (sin él hay unas cuantas) y en uso. Kavala también es interesante, allí nacio un rey egipcio que da nombre a la mezquita que hay en la ciudadela de El Cairo, Mehmet Alí, creo que es el nombre.
Por cierto me alojé en Sizonía, justo frente al monte Athos. Maravilla de vista al atardecer

Voy a viajar este verano a Tesalónica por segunda vez pero con la intención de alquilar un coche para recorrer la península de Calcídica. Voy bastante perdido con el tema de alojamiento y me gustaria saber cuál es la mejor zona de las tres penínsulas para alojarse priorizando cercanía a lugares de interés, naturaleza y tranquilidad. No he encontrado apenas información en la web

Hola veo que es la segunda vez que vas a ir a Salonica .Conoces Pella y Vergina?.Ya he contado en otro post que en la calcidica yo estuve en Sithonia porque habia leido que Kasandra era excesivamente turistica.Mi sorpresa fue que la primera también estaba a tope de familias del este con muchos flotadores.Las playas eran magnificas y yo me aloje en Neos Marmaras.Despues me fui para Kavala y Xanthi,este ultimo me gusto mucho porque tiene la peculiaridad de que en la parte baja viven los griegos y en la alta los turcos.Este año tengo la intención de volver por la zona para visitar el palacio de Aigea que lo han abierto hace unos meses y después quiero ir al ultimo dedo de halkidiki para quedarme en Uranopolis y cruzar a la isla de Ammouliani.De los monasterios me tengo que olvidar porque no me dejan entrar.Valorare una excursión en barco aunque no me hacen mucha gracia.Hay una isla en la parte este de Sithonia que debe ser una maravilla pero por lo que he visto de los pocos alojamientos debe ser algo carisimo con lo cual tendre que plantearme de nuevo una excursión en barco.Es la isla de Diaporos.

Buenas a todos!!! Tengo unas dudillas y os agradecería si me pudierais echar una mano. Vamos 4 perdonas a Bulgaria el 13 de septiembre y estoy echa un lío con todo esto del Covid. Todos tenemos las dos pautas de vacunación con más de 14 días desde la última. Hace falta finalmente pcr también? Creo q si aunque no siempre te la piden pero se supone que es obligatorio llevarla para evitar la cuarentena no? Y para la vuelta he estado escuchando que para entrar en España desde Bulgaria aquí si te exigen cuarentena o no?
Por otro lado, nos vamos un par de días a Turquía y un par de días a Thassos, una isla de Grecia, sabéis de restricciones para la entrada en esos países??
En Grecia iremos en coche de alquiler desde Bulgaria, me podéis decir que valen más o menos las autovías de Grecia ya que tenemos que coger desde KAVALA hasta RILA.

Si pero pone que ha de ser de 24 h y en la pagina de Greeka pone que de continente a islas son 48 h antes de la salida del barco. Lo hicimos ayer a las 20 h y salimos en barco mañana dia 1 a las 10 h .

Viaje de 10 dias por el norte de grecia. Visitado con mas o menos dedicacion: Alexandrópolis, Xanthi, Komotiní, lago Vistonida, Abdera, Kavala, Kato Poroia, Tesalónica, Monte Athos, Sithonia, Vergina, Pela, desfiladero de Tempi, Kamena Vurla (frente a Evia) y Ayii Apostoli, también en Evia.
Vale la pena darse una vuelta por Xanthi, tiene una plaza bonita (con monumentos en memoria de las 1000 y una guerras del siglo XX) con una iglesia interesante, la casa natal de Manos Hatzidakis y ambiente vespertino a tope.
Komotiní solo tiene de curioso que es donde he visto más mezquitas que iglesias de cualquier pueblo griego, debido a la minoría relativa de los pomacos.
En el lago Vistonida y cerca de Porto Lagos hay un par de islas en el lago unidas por sendos puentes a tierra con un par de santuarios ortodoxos muy bonitos donde se disfruta de una placentera tranquilidad. Un lugar recomendable. Kavala es una ciudad interesante con su castillo y parte vieja. Alli nació Mehmet Ali que llegó a ser gobernador de Egipto ya al que ese pais le debe su modernización y la mezquita de la ciudadela, en El Cairo. La casa es propiedad del estado egipcio y es muy bonita. También hay un hospicio convertido en hotel y restaurante que se puede visitar.
La zona de Kato Poroia me sorprendio por ser muy verde, llena de bosques a los pies de los montes Rodope en la frontera con Bulgaria.
Tesalonica es imprescindible. Visita la monte athos en barco desde Uranópolis. Sacando el ticket por internet te hacen un 10 % de descuento. El recorrido dura unas 3 horas.
De la península de Sithonia me gustó mas la zona sur, la comprendida entre Porto Carras y Sarti, por ejemplo Porto Kufo o la playa de Sikías. Esta sobre todo muy tranquila, sin apartamentos casas u hoteles, solo campings. como alguien adivino comí muy bien en el restaurante de un camping.
Vergina imprescindible y se puede combinar bien con Pela.
El desfiladero de Tempi es la antigua carretera entre Litojoro y Larisa. No vale la pena salir de la autopista y pasar por alli, en España hay desfiladeros mucho mas espectaculares. Como cosa curiosa diré que pagamos un peaje al salir que no llevaba a la autopista y no sabemos por qué estaba alli. Un griego me contó que El bey Ali lo puso allí en plan fielato y cuando echaron a los turcos el gobierno griego siguió manteniendolo alli sin saber la gente por qué razón. Nadie sabía nada hasta que en los últimos años respondian que era para pagar los tuneles que atraviesa la autopista.
Kamena Vurla es una localidad turística que tuvo épocas mejores, pero destaca por su gran tranquilidad, aunque la playa es más bien malica.
Los Santos Apostoles en Evia es un pueblo pequeño que da al Egeo, en el quinto pino, pero buen hotel, buena comida y la tranquilidad necesaria para acabar el viaje.
Asi hay alguna referencia más sobre esta zona poco turística.
No puede pasar a Macedonia porque el coche no tenía carta verde

Estoy preparando una ruta de 10 días con mi pareja para finales de agosto y no es una zona muy conocida, aunque hay mucha información en Instagram procedente de las oficinas de turismo de la zona.

Eso parece, pero no deja de ser un periódico y no una fuente oficial, habría que contrastarlo si lo publican en alguna web del gobierno/ embajada o quizás también fiable con las navieras.

Test results are NOT mandatory if you are travelling from the islands to the mainland and from one island to another (island-hopping), though a self test is recommended for all passengers above 12 years old.

Hola! Pues nos vamos a Grecia el otro sábado y nos acabamos de enterar que para ir entre islas en los ferries se necesitan test. Queríamos saber si sabéis cómo funciona lo del self test y cuanto cuestan??? Vimos que el de antígenos cuesta 20€ Pero si los self test son más baratos sería genial y más cómodo. Un saludo!

- Passengers have also to present one of the following certificates (in electronic or printed form) before boarding the vessel:
Vaccination Certificate (14 days after the second dose) or
Negative result of Molecular Test (PCR) carried out up to 72 hours prior to travel, or
Negative result of Rapid Test conducted up to 24 hours before travel, or
Negative result of a Self-Test conducted up to 24 hours before travel, the result of which must be declared on the Pre-Boarding form, or
Documented proof of having recovered from Covid-19, at least 2 months since infection, and no more than 9 months, before the departure date
The obligation to present a negative PCR Test, Rapid Test or Self-Test result, if there is no Vaccination Certificate, is valid for all passengers over the age of 5.

Vale tengo un lío. Entonces actualmente no se necesita ningún test? Es que nuestro itinerario es Atenas-Paros-Santorini-Ios-Atenas. Solo necesitaría test para ir de Atenas a Paros y de Ios a Atenas?
