I´ve tried last month and everything worked!!.
We didn´t notice any difference at all.
We flied from Madrid to Basel and return with easyjet. We travelled with 2 children and the staff was very nice with them. We had to pay for a drink and some snacks, but the price was so good that it really didn´t matter.
It is a good chance.
