Hola! Pues en nuestro caso sólo estuvimos en el Sur, haciendo una ruta de 10 días. Pero sí que podéis hacer esa ruta de 5 días, os hará una ruta ms corta ylisto. Nosotros vimos 6 tribus. Lo de ir con guía, por supuesto. Te dejo el contacto del nuestro,le puedes escribir por whatsapp y que te haga la ruta de los 5 días (recorridos, precios, teibus a visitar etc...);

Si solo tienes eso días lo vas a tener complicado y mas si lo queires hacer en plan mochilero, pues los transportes publicos no llegan a los lugares mas remotos o lo hacen con poca frecuencia.

Yo con 13 días (no se si son días limpios) haria posiblemente solo el norte y mas teniendo en cuenta que quieres ver Danakil y Lalibela. Yo añadiria las iglesias de Tigray, Axum, Simiens y la zona del lago Tana. Puedes montar como una ruta circular.
Danakil lo tendrías que hacer con agencia. Es una zona remota y de difícil acceso. Hay un hilo sobre agencias locales en el Danakil.

Me parece imposible hacer esto en 13 días, con cierta holgura y en transporte publico. Hice eso mismo en 18 días, cogiendo vuelo de vuelta a Addis desde Lalibela.

El presupuesto es dificil de calcular. Por ejemplo, si entrais en Etiopia con un vuelo de Ethiopian Airlines, los vuelos internos cuestan el 50% de la tarifa oficial.

Mi consejo es que empieces por el sur, puedes ver las tribus en 6 días, en cinco también podrías, pero para no ir a toda prisa, el día 7 coges un vuelo desde Arba Mich hasta Mekele con escala en Addis, se puede hacer en un día. Desde Mekele salen las excursiones al Danakil, puedes hacer la de 3 días 2 noches, yo lo hice así y perfecto, serían los días 8, 9 y 10. El día 11 te vas a Lalibela por carretera, la agencia para hacer el Danakil lo puede ofrecer gratis y luego las visitas por tu cuenta. El 12 ves Lalibela, y el 13 vuelo desde Addis a Lalibela.
El Danakil imprescindible con agencia, para el sur contrata a un chófer con 4X4 y los hoteles, guías y entradas las gestionas por tu cuenta.

Recurro una vez más a este gran foro que tantas dudas me ha despejado! Sacando la lengua

Os cuento, estaré en Etiopia del 25 de Julio al 19 de Agosto. Llego a Addis Abeba, vuelo a Bahir Dar. Allí quisiera visitar el lago Tana, pasar por Gonder, Las montañas Siemen, pasando por Axum, Mekele (visitaré la iglesia Abuna Yemata) y bajar hasta Lalibela, a poder ser todo en transporte público. Desde allí quiero volar al sur, a Jinka para conocer la zona Omo, moviendome desde allí también al parque Arba Minch, para la parte sur tengo entendido que no se puede contar con transporte público. Finalmente volvería a la capital en vuelo.

Me gustaría preguntaros:
- En el sur, al parecer, se necesita transporte privado o contratar a un chofer para visitar las tribus del Sur. ¿Es caro?
- ¿Qué os parece el plan? ¿Justito? ¿Qué echaríais en falta?
- En cuanto a los volcanes en Danakil, tengo entendido que hay unas fechas para entrar y que además el acceso es complicado. ¿Merece la pena?

Hola. Yo solo puedo hablarte del sur qie es lo que estamos viendo. Para llegar por tí mismo no digo q sea imposible pero lo veo dificil y de hacerlo sería con mucho tiempo ya que las tribus están en medio de la nada y no llegan los transportes, aparte que hay que hablar con el jefe de la tribu y acordar la visita o eso creo. Por otro lado los pueblos no son como conocemos sino una calle o camino con casetas que luego son tiendas,hoteles, bares...pero q yo al menos ni me lo imaginaba. Creo q lo mas practico es coger un conductor y asegurarse que conduce bien y tiene buen coche, tipo 4x4. Vas por caminos a veces muy chungos con rebaños, gente, carros, tuc tucs, salen de todos lados y hay que sortear. En cuanto a presupuesto pues depende de con quien contrates. Nostros alojamiento,entradas y el 4x4 unos 120 eur al día...quizá haya mas barato pero es buen conductor y habla este idioma así q nos ha ayudado a comunicarnos con la gente de aquí que sino no habríamos podido.

Con tu idea de hacerlo en trasporte publico, tienes que contar que los recorridos por tierra sabes cuando empiezas pero no cuando llegas...Aunque las carreteras etiopes han mejorado mucho, en mucho lugares se han limitado a asfaltar el camino repleto de curvas que habia antes...

Pra visitar las etnias del sur en sus campamentos, es imprescindible contratar un 4x4 ya que los campamentos estan apartados de las carreteras y hay que circular por pista, a veces en muy al estado, para poder alcanzar algunos campamentos de las etnias mas representativas y espectaculares de la zona, como pueden ser los Hammer,los Karo, o los Mursi.

Para visitar el volcan que hay en el Danakil, hay que contratar obligatoriamente una agencia, y todas las rutas hacia el Danakil parten de Mekele.
¿merece la pena? eso es muy personal, pero ver un lago de lava incandescente y activo tan cerca no es posible en casi ningun lugar . Pero tamben estamos hablando de una de las zonas donde se dan las temperaturas mas altas de este planeta... Y precisamente en la epoca que vas a estar por allí , el calor es aun mas fuerte, por lo que en los meses de mas calor, no se ofrecen rutas por allí porque la gente no soporta esas temperaturas que sobrepasan los 50 grados ampliamente...

The desert has several points lying more than 100 meters (328 ft) below sea level. You pass through a small town of Berhale where the camel caravans stop before they proceed to the northern highlands. En route you see many long caravans going to the salt mines and others coming out of the Danakil with their salt loaded camels. (3-4 hrs drive)Over night Camp at Hamedela.

Day 7
Hamd Ela – Dodom
We start early, shortly after a 06:30 breakfast, and drive to Askoma at the base of new Erta Ale. The 80 km distance may take about 6 hrs passing through changing landscape of solidified lava, rock, sand and the occasional palm lined oasis. You pass several small hamlets scattered here and there in this desert land, before reaching Askoma village or parking area. You will trek from Askoma to the new Erta Ale which takes about 4 hrs. Early dinner around 17:00 and trek up to the new Erta Ale reach around 20:00. Camels transport all the camping materials and some food, sleeping materials, mattresses and water, to the rim of the volcano, where we spend the night watching the dramatic action of the boiling lava. New Erta Ale ranks one of the most alluring and physically challenging natural attractions anywhere in Ethiopia. It is a shield volcano with a base diameter of 30 km and 1km square caldera at its summit. New Erta Ale is part of the world’s only permanent lava lake and you will spend an unforgettable night on the top of the mountain. The magma flow moved 3.5 kms south from old Erta Ale to the New eruption point. Overnight camp

Day 8
Sunrise at the volcano and Lake Afdera Early morning you will rise with the sun with time to walk around pits and craters. The main pit-crater, 200 m deep and 350 m across, is sub-circular and three storied. The smaller southern pit is 65 m wide and about 100 m deep. You will leave around 7:00 to head back to Askoma for breakfast. You will reach latest at 10:30 am at the camp and after some time to relax you will drive to Lake Afdera the mythical Lake Giulietti (or lake Afrera), a salt water lake located more than100 meters below sea level, in one of the deepest depressions of the planet. Because of the picturesque landscape, it is interesting to visit the salt flats where the Afar people obtain the salt by evaporating the water of the lake. On continue to Hamad Ela, a village with a total population about 500 people. Over night camping at Hamed Ela.
Day 9
Morning driving tour to Ragad (Asebo), the place where the salts are mined. Observe the breaking of the salt from the ground, cutting into rectangular pieces and loading on camels. You drive ahead to Dallol and visit the difference landscape formed by volcanic activity, Dallol + Lake Assal + camel caravans. Excursion to Dallol (116 meter below sea level, one of the lowest places in the world) colorful salts mining, visit Lake Assal, follow up camel caravans and walk with the Afar people. Then drive to mekele. Late afternoon take a flight to addis ababa end tour

Yo no lo veo barato. Nosotros estamos recoplilando presupuestos y hemos llegado a la conclusión que ya se ha expuesto por aquí. Es mejor contratar las agencias por zonas. Iba a colgar la info más adelanrte pero te adelanto que esas dos excursiones de las que hablas a nosotros nos están saliendo por un poco menos de 1000 € (las dos). Unos 700 el sur y 270 el Danakil-Erta

Hola ¡ En agosto/septiembre viajo con mi pareja a Etiopia. He pedido varios presupuestos y el que más me convence es el de una agencia etíope que se llama “Fasiledes Tour”. Alguien ha viajado con ellos o tiene alguna referencia? Gracias de antemano.

El precio que indico de 5 días sur y 5 norte es de 2680€ para 4 personas, lo que nos sale a cada uno tansolo 670€ (decia que lo veo muy bien y barato de precio)

Pues sí. El precio es mas que estupendo. En cuanto repartes el gasto del coche se nota un montón.

Lo mejor es hacer un calculo por separado:
El Danakil se cobra una media de 100usd por persona/dia
Y un 4x4 para el Sur se cobra a 100-120usd día (total no por persona)
El precio del Danakil incluye todo
Y para el Sur además hay q calcular alojamientos (camps-hotels) y entradas, guias, etc de las tribus
La comida es muy barata
