Every year, one week before the holiday Karfreitag, Bremen’s biggest spring festival begins: the Osterwiese. It’s over 50,000 square metres of pure fun! About 500.000 visitors enjoy this event year after year. There’s tons of attractions and plenty of delicious things to eat, providing the whole family or group of friends with a guaranteed good time.

Kale with pinkel, labskaus and knipp: admittedly, Bremen's specialities do sound a bit like something you'd get used to. But that doesn't make them any less delicious. A mixture of proximity to the sea and connections to rural life forms the basis of traditional Bremen cuisine.

Legend has it that monks belonging to the order of Saint Benedict found refuge in the Middle Ages in the valley of the Cuze in order to found an abbey. It is also said that this was bestowed on the town by Clovis in the 5th Century…. Sarlat developed around the monastery and three centuries later was an important centre of pilgrimage.
