During the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Slovenia will boost its international visibility with a strong tourism, business and cultural promotion led by the Slovenian Tourist Board. Through events, media actions and gastronomy showcases in Italy, Slovenia positions itself as a year-round, sustainable and boutique destination.
These destinations will present a diverse portfolio of experiences, ranging from active tourism and city breaks to gastronomy and cultural heritage. The event will conclude with a visit to the ski jumping competitions in Predazzo, where a strong presence of Slovenian fans is also expected. B2B meetings in Cortina d’Ampezzo The second major highlight will take place on Thursday, 12 February 2026, in Cortina d’Ampezzo. The STB will organise a dedicated B2B workshop, bringing together 17 Slovenian tourism companies and approximately 25 Italian tour operators from Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Lombardy. The programme will combine business networking with the Olympic experience, including attendance at the women’s alpine skiing super-G final. Slovenian excellence will also be showcased through gastronomy, with top-level cuisine presented by renowned chef Tomaž Kavčič. Visibility throughout the Games In addition to these flagship events, the STB will carry out a range of advertising and promotional activities throughout the Olympic Games, further reinforcing Slovenia’s image as a distinctive European destination that blends nature, culture, sustainability and high-quality experiences. Through this comprehensive presence at Milano–Cortina 2026, Slovenia aims to turn Olympic attention into long-term international interest and lasting tourism partnerships. https://www.slovenia.info/ |
