The Biggest fun fair on the Rhine


The funfair city will be erected for the 111th time at its picturesque location in the Oberkasseler Rheinwiesen (Oberkassel Rhine Meadows) from 13th to 22nd July. Spread across the 165,000-square-metre meadows, local and international exhibitors will present a wide selection of rides guaranteeing fun for all the family. Like last year, one of the highlights will be the grand fireworks display on the last day of the fun fair (20th July). Andreas Gursky is one of the world’s most important contemporary photographers. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds


He became famous as the main songwriter and lead guitarist of the legendary band “Oasis”. T³ Triathlon Düsseldorf


The T³ Triathlon – including the 1st Triathlon Federal League – will be taking place for the second time in Düsseldorf on 8th July. This year a record-breaking 2,200 competitors will be taking part. The programme includes the sprint distance (750 m swimming, 20 km cycling, 5 km running) and the Olympic distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling, 10 km running). Tengo tres días completos (y medio) para pasar en Düsseldorf.
No conozco nada de la zona y había pensado hacer lo siguiente:
Medio día en Düsseldorf.
El día siguiente repartirlo entre Wuppertal y seguir viendo Düsseldorf.
El tercer día se lo dedicaría a Colonia, pasando noche allí.
El cuarto visitaría Bonn, y puede que me de tiempo para ver algo más de Colonia.

¿Cómo lo veis? ¿Merece la pena Wuppertal o hay cerca de Düsseldorf algún otro pueblo o ciudad que pueda estar mejor?

Merece mucho la pena Aquisgran, yo lo incluiría incluso antes que Bonn
Monschau es un pueblecito cercano a Aquisgran que me quedé con ganas de ver debido a dificultades en el transporte en Carnaval, pero que tiene muy buena pinta

Wuppertal tiene un interés para mi, el schwebebahn (el monorraíl colgante o aerotren). Todavía no he ido, pero cuando he mirado y me informado sobre la ciudad no parece tener grandes y numerosos atractivos. Cerca tienes Essen, que tampoco es especialmente llamativo. Si tienes interés en el pasado industrial y minero, es una buena visita. En Essen hay un par de zonas interesantes: Werden y Ketwig, pero son pequeñas y su casco histórico (lo interesante), evidentemente es pequeño. Colonia es lo que más llama y está cercano. Aquisgrán o Münster, están algo más alejados, pero...  Leer más ...

Buenos días, hay algún metro o tren que conecte el aeropuerto con la estación de Oberbilker Markt U ??? Mi alojamiento se encuentra en los alrededores.

El tren te lleva a la estación central, que está muy cerca de esa parada (la siguiente parada o dos desde la estación en metro)
