So to prolong this great adventure, we have created the new Aquarium La Rochelle.

Located in the heart of town, next to the old harbour and the famous towers of La Rochelle, the Aquarium La Rochelle, is one of the main european private aquariums.
Take a two hour’s journey into the depths of the oceans and explore the magical and mysterious underwater world that keeps fascinating us.
Start your visit into the 360° tunnel by walking on water, surrounded by jellyfish. And then admire 12 000 Atlantic, Mediterranean and Tropical animals in 3 million litres of water. Walk through the 75 aquariums opened like a window into the oceanic world and find the clown fish, observe the octopus and thrill among 20 sharks in a 1.5 million litres of sea water large aquarium.

Enjoy the audio guided tour (available in French, English, Spanish and German) and immerse yourself with surprising anecdotes about the oceans of the world.
The gift shop “Mémoires d’Océans” offers a large selection of souvenirs and, at the 2nd floor, the restaurant “Le Café de l’Aquarium” will delight you with its seasonal and organic menu. Both have an independent access from the visit.
