Sohan was our driver during our two-week trip to India, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. We contacted Sonu, who organized the service and assigned Sohan as our driver, and everything was perfect from the start. We loved how calm and composed Sohan was, especially since Indians are generally louder. Every time we got into the car, it felt like stepping into an oasis of peace amidst the chaos of India, and that made a huge difference during our trip.
Sohan is an extremely professional and safe driver, which allowed us to relax even in the chaotic traffic typical of the country. His level of English is very good, making communication easy and enjoyable. Additionally, the car was always spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with air conditioning, which we deeply appreciated given the heat. voy a Nepal del 2 al 20 de mayo y mi idea hacer el circuito del Annapurna. Yo ya lo hice en 2015 pero esta vez le quería enseñar las maravillas de Nepal a mi pareja. Yo he estado ya 3 veces en Nepal y siempre he caminado solo. En esta ocasión necesitaremos un porteador para llevar la mochila de ella. Además parece que han hecho obligatorio el llevar un guia o porteador.
1.- Alguien sabe si con el porteador es suficiente o hay que contratar tambien un guía de acuerdo con la legislación vigente? Hay mucho control sobre eso?

I´ve just come back from a great trip to Nepal and I had the best experience trekking with Avi. He is probably not only the best guide you can find to help you with your trekk, but also an amazing person. But let´s start from the beginning.
I was wandering around the streets of Thamel, when Avi "found" me and approached me. Although it was only my 2 day in Thamel I had already enough from all those Nepali scammers and sellers that come near you trying to sell you ANYTHING (from tiger balm to weed or a trekk to the mountains...). However, the way Avi talked to me was different. I immediately understood he was different from the others that just saw me as some kind of "walking-money". After a few minutes of conversation, he gave me his card and told me to take my time to think about it, and offered a tea to discuss the trekk in case I was interested. I went directly after to take that tea with him and his honesty and good heart made easy for me to "choose" him as my guide for the trekk. The day after he invited me for a tea at his flat and I could see where my money was going. This is not like the big agencies around thamel that clearly have the money already. Here you are helping someone that does his job because he loves it, but also to provide for a family with 2 young daughters. I could see that even though they live in a very humble place, Avi offered me everything I needed. He borrowed me one of his backpacks for the trekk and also told me he would take a hat, gloves, telescopic poles and a sleeping bag that he would carry for me in case I need it. After claryifying the details, he took me to a local place for lunch, where we also met another girl looking for a trekking. Again, Avi was super kind to her and eventhough taking one more person meant more money for him, he talked to me and let me decide if we would take her or not with us. I thought 3 would be better and it would mean more money for Avi, who after Covid struggled to keep his family and house fine. Avi also helped her a lot to find the materials she needed for the trekk and even borrow and carry most of them.
Once in the trekk, Avi is not just a guide, he is a friend. But obviously he knows a lot about the area. We did the Annapurna circuit and as he promised from the beginning, every time he could find us free or cheaper accomodation/food he did it. He also help us constantly to get... Leer más ...

And even with the other girl, he stayed for the whole time next to her, walking at her pace and supporting her since she was struggling to accomplish the trekk. He was really supportive with her and even when she decided to quit for health reasons, he helped her organising her transport back down, getting her the best service and the best price (I was there when he was bargaining for the price).
The last part of the trekk we did it alone the 2 of us. I cant be happier of having completed the Annapurna circuit with a friend like Avi. With him I felt safe and that I could always trust him. After we finished, I saw how other tourists had many problems regarding altitude sickness. However, Avi took me through the right steps and together we managed to pass by 5416m without any symptom.

Por la tarde me ha llegado un segundo correo diciendo que mi COVID-19 vaccination certificate is unreadable Y que culeva a hacer el formulario indicando que no estoy vacunada. :shock:.

Hola, esta mediodía he procedido a registrar a mi pareja (mujer) y a mi que soy hombre, y el certificado de vacunación de mi chica también lo han denegado por el mismo motivo... (COVID-19 vaccination certificate is unreadable )
En cambio a mi me lo han aprobado a la primera y me han puesto hoy la segunda dosis que me he emitido el certificado por la mañana.
No entiendo nada.
Lo único claro que veo es que a tres mujeres os lo han denegado por lo que decían en otro mensaje anterior.

Today, as travel within Europe opens up and restrictions are being loosened, we are excited to be finally able to expand our network and connect again Greece to Europe and Europe to Greece. Therefore, as of June 15th, we start to bring back international destinations and will continue to gradually increase your travel choices the coming days, as to travel you again to your favorite places.
At this new start of ours, we must together ensure that travel remains safe. So, in addition to the extended health and safety measures we have put in place, you should also be aware of each country’s specific regulations regarding your entry and stay requirements at your departure, arrival and transit countries.
To help you plan your next travel, here are some key points of the flight restrictions currently imposed by the Greek Government for arrivals to Greece effective June 15th and until June 30th 2020.
Arriving passengers are categorized in accordance with their origin in three distinct groups as follows:
GROUP B: Albania, Belgium, France, Italy, North Macedonia, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, other non-EU countries.
- Passengers arriving at Athens International Airport originating from GROUP A will be subject to random Covid-19 testing upon their arrival.
- Passengers arriving at Athens International Airport originating from GROUP B, either with a direct flight or through a country included in Group A, will be subject to 100% Covid-19 testing upon their arrival.
- Passengers arriving at Thessaloniki Airport, will be subject to 100% Covid-19 testing upon their arrival.
All international passengers will be provided during check in or on board, with a Passenger Location Form, to be filled and provided to the authorities upon arrival.
Tested passengers have to compulsory self-isolate in the address they will declare for 24 hours, until the testing outcome is available.
Connecting Passengers are subject to COVID-19 testing upon their arrival in Athens or Thessaloniki and will be able to continue their trip to their final destination, where they will self-isolate until the testing outcome is available.
Furthermore, the Greek Goverment has extended flight restrictions from/to UK and Turkey until June 29th, 2020.

Se trata de las medidas del 15 al 30 de junio, España estaría en el grupo B, test obligatorio hasta fin de este mes.
Las personas a las que se realice test deberán esperar 24 horas en el lugar que notifiquen en el formulario que se entrega a las autoridades, en autoaislamiento hasta tener el resultado del test.

He recibido hoy un mensaje de Finnair. Parece que han publicado su planificación de viajes para el verano en base a que hay países que tienen previsto aligerar las medidas de confinamiento. Van a operar 40 destinos en julio, incluidos 9 destinos de largo recorrido a Asia.

We were traveling 2 girls alone and the communication with him was easy because he speaks fluent English and a little Spanish. Our tour was a one week trip around Rajasthan (not enough time to see everything but we made the most of our time thanks to Manu). My mum and me have been travelling around India for 8 days the last December. We did the trip with Raj’s company “Incredible Rural India” and the experience couldn’t be better, from the very first contact to the last.
We found them through a recommendation in a Spanish blog and they described exactly the trip that we were planning. So, I decide to get in touch with them by email and the answer with our trip proposal came fast. We had to change the plans many times, and they were changing it each time according to our requirements and needs.
As we come to India, everything was as planned. They were waiting for us and even picking us up from different terminals each, so that we could meet together without any problem. The attention of Raj (the company owner) and our driver Mahaveed was 100%. I was impressed that, as soon as we arrived, our driver passed us a phone call with Raj who gave us the welcome to India in our language and was inviting us for dinner at his place the day we went to Jaipur.
Our driver was very kind and attentive, he welcomes us with an Indian flower necklace (so nice!). We were feeling very protected and safe during the whole trip and road (considering that traffic in India can be a huge chaos, this was something very important for us).
I recommend engaging at least a driver. For us India is a very different country with different culture and so one, and being backed by a local all the time, who knows where and how to go to each place it’s reassuring.
Mahaveed was totally at our disposal, knowing perfectly the places, roads and of course our personalized plan (normally better than us haha) and he was always open to any change. He could speak English and even Spanish in a very proper way. We are deeply grateful for the treatment received; he does an excellent job.
When we flow from Jodhpur back to Delhi, there was a new driver waiting for us, Surendra (just for one day) and we realized that all who make up the team of “Incredible Rural India” are very professional, we also received from him an excellent treatment in the time he offered us his service.
Because of all that, I highly recommend to each who want to visit India (and needs an organized tour) to contact with “Incredible Rural India”. They are a local company and make a huge effort to do their job in a very professional way, you will not feel disappointed.
