The opening ceremony of Cork Rebel Week will be held at CIT campus and it will be your chance to meet your Cork Heroes, including Rob Heffernan.
16th October - CORK INDEPENDENCE DAY
A Rebel Birthday Party!
Cork becomes a Republic for a day to celebrate Michael Collins’ birthday and World Food Day. 50 Cork Visa Checkpoints will be stationed around the
City and County of the People’s Republic of Cork. To enter Cork on October 16th, you’ll need to produce your Cork Visa at the border – no visa, no entry! Visas will cost €2 with all proceeds in aid of the Children’s Unit in Cork University Hospital.

International Naval Festival Weekend begins with a Fleet Review as the
Lower Cork Harbour welcomes ships from Belgium, France, Ireland and Britain.
19th October INTERNATIONAL CORK GATHERING EVENT
The Biggest Ever Gathering Event in Cork! The day will start with the International Marching Band Parade, International Food Village, Naval Festival and ends with a Concert at the Port of Cork. Headlining the event will be Internet sensations, Seo Linn. search for Avicii as Gaeilge on YouTube or scan the QR code to watch the band perform
their smash hit.
Due to high demand, this event will be ticketed but all
activities will be broadcast live on two 40m square screens at the Port of Cork and Kennedy Quay. Yachts and boats of Cork can enjoy a sailin
