En estos días dos amigos viajeros, Antonio y Juan han llegado a Lhasa, capital tibetana y no han tenido ningún problema para entrar.
Desde hace tiempo recorren internet eternos rumores sobre las dificultades de acceso al "Techo del Mundo". Se decía que para visitar Tibet era necesario obtener previamente el "TTB permit". Sin embargo cuando yo estuve en el año 2000 nadie nos pidió nada cuando cruzamos la frontera con Nepal en Kodari, aunque muchos viajeros decían que era necesario. Incluso ahora mismo algunas agencias de viaje chinas como chinayak.com abusan del mochilero y le cobran 300 yuanes por un permiso totalmente innecesario.
Ellos compraron por internet desde España los billetes de avión, tanto el Madrid-Chengdu, via Amsterdam, con KLM como luego el correspondiente al trayecto Chengdu-Lhasa con Air China. Ni a la hora de tomar este vuelo ni cuando llegaron a la capital tibetana nadie les pidió ni exigió nada, tan sólo el visado chino normal que se obtiene en cualquier embajada.
Así que si pensáis ir al Tibet no tendréis ningún problema y no os fiéis de los que os digan algunas agencias...

Because of the restrictions, we are not able to arrange ticket to Lhasa at the moment. Please ask us by e-mail for the present situation.

☆Present situation of April 30, 2007

Until further notice when you travel to Tibet you can only visit the Lhasa area. This is due to the protest at Everest Base Camp last week by five westerners.

You may be able to take an organized group tour to Shigatse and other areas, but at the moment this is unlikely due to political reasons. At the moment there are many soldiers situated around Tibet turning back tour groups and making them going back to Lhasa. The rules keep changing daily.
