How to get to the City and back from Frankfurt Airport
By Train: Frankfurt Airport has two train stations. The station called "Frankfurt Flughafen Regionalbahnhof“ is for regional trains, the other one, called "Frankfurt Flughafen Fernbahnhof“, is for long distance connections. Both offer train connections to Frankfurt and other locations in the region.
From the station "Frankfurt Flughafen Regionalbahnhof“ there are two suburban trains ("S-Bahnen“) connecting the airport with Frankfurt downtown. If you want to reach the city centre, take line S8 in the direction of "Offenbach (Main) Ost“ or line S9 in the direction of "Hanau Hauptbahnhof“. If you want to get back to the airport from the city centre take line S8 or S9, both in the direction of "Wiesbaden Hauptbahnhof“.
