El titulo de este tema es una redundancia, ya que Geysir es el lugar que dio nombre a los géiseres.
Geysir es un géiser durmiente hoy en día, pero a pocos metros hay un geyser completamente activo y muy famoso el Strokkur, que levanta columnas de agua y vapor cada pocos minutos.
En este campo con viva actividad volcánica alrededor, también podemos pasear entre numerosas pozas en ebullición.

El parking es amplio y gratuito, existe un centro de visitantes, exposición, bar y restaurante, así como algunos establecimientos hoteleros.

Geysir es una de las paradas más populares de la ruta turística del Círculo Dorado.
