Clinisbud, he visto tus fotos de Twitter y casi me muero de nostalgia al ver las de Grand Teton, Yosemite y Horseshoe
Estuve leyendo en el Facebook de Yosemite y al parecer los trekkings normales siguen es mas los de alto nivel alguno que hay que tener mas cuidado. Al parecer unas cuantas toneladas:(
The hike to the top of Half Dome and the trail around Mirror Lake are not affected and remain open, however, the rock fell from a portion of the popular Regular Northwest Face climbing route. Climbing rangers have assessed the area. The route is not closed, however, there is potentially loose rock, so climbers should use extreme caution if climbing in this area. Additionally, climbers and hikers should not linger in the obvious rock debris at the base of the Regular Northwest Face route.
Sí, por lo que parece no afecta a los trails, sólo a una ruta de escalada (no está cerrada pero piden que se extremen las precauciones)
Leyendo una guia de California me pone que aparte de subir haciendo trekking a half dome también se puede en teleférico, pero no encuentro nada en la red sobre ello.
Quisiera subir yo andando y que mi mujer y mi hijo lo hicieran en el teleférico.
Sabeis algo de ello?

Teleférico??? Teleférico no hay. No se que guía será esa.
Lo qie hay al final del recorrido son cadenas y escalones , una especie de Ferrara.
Desde la web del parque puedes ver toda la información e incluso descargarte los diferentes senderos,

Sharktale, no se de donde habrá sacado la información la guía.
En el half dome, están los cables para subir que a no ser que haya entendido que Donde pone cables es que hay un teleférico, pero vamos si fuera así, dejaría mucho que desear la guía.

El trekking es bastante duró pero tiene qie ser espectacular.
Otra cosa puede ser que haya visto los remontes de la estación de esquí

Hola.
El que ha escrito la guia no ha pisado Yosemite. El Half Dome es de una belleza enorme, tiene unas líneas perfectas, es estético,... , y por descontado que desde ningun ángulo se ven ingenios mecánicos que suben a la cima.
Y una curiosidad, el anagrama de North Face esta inspirado en el Half Dome.

Nari, estás pensando subir al Half Dome en un futuro próximo??

Due to lingering snow, the installation of the Half Dome cables will be delayed until at least June 2 this year (instead of May 26). If you have a Half Dome hiking permit for the dates between May 26 and when the cables are installed, your permit fee will be refunded.
