Temps have (finally) come up now, and as we move into June the melt-rate will accelerate significantly. That said, June just isn't going to happen for us this year...and the 4th of July is a serious concern. But we still won't fully-know what we're up against for another 3 weeks or so.

Llevo desde enero dando vueltas por el foro de la Costa Oeste y no había participado aquí...
Visto lo visto me la juego poniéndome a la cola, San Fermín, 7 de Julio (digo yo que para el 8 de agosto que viajamos estará abierto )
Road crews have reached the west end of the Olmsted Point avalanche zone (which is just west of Tenaya Lake). Avalanche conditions are currently unsafe, but may improve in the next few days. Safety is the top priority, so crews will wait until conditions are safe before plowing through the avalanche chute. Meanwhile, crews are widening the plowed lanes and performing road repairs elsewhere on Tioga Road.
With the Tioga Road being closed, we're expecting an especially busy holiday weekend elsewhere in the park. If visiting, arrive before 9 am and stay parked once you find a parking spot (or use Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System - YARTS to get to Yosemite). Otherwise, expect two- to three-hour delays. Also, do not arrive in Yosemite expecting to find a place to stay overnight (unless you already have a reservation). Sleeping overnight in your car or camping are only allowed in designated campsites.

Mejor para algunos jajaja, yo paso el 15 de junio y estaba convencida de que estaría abierto y no tenia plan B y ahora me encuentro con que los precios de los hoteles están prohibitivos.

Yo tengo que pasar el día 13 y no pierdo la esperanza, no me puedo imaginar mi cara si por algun casual cambio la ruta y me entero que justo abre el día que tengo q pasar. Yo tengo reserva en Lee Vining y no la cancelo, es complicado que abra para esas fechas, pero.....
