Son arrozales eternos, por lo que lo unico que hay es un sendero que los comunica.
El unico transporte llega a la base de Ping'an o Dazhai. De ahí a los puntos de interés es andar y subir

Muchas gracias laura por tu respuesta. Perdón por seguir atosigando con preguntas pero se me ha ocurrido una alternativa.
Si quisiéramos estar el día completo en los arrozales y al día siguiente tras ver el amanecer, desayunar y dar la vuelta para ir a yangshuo se me ocurre la opción de ir de Guilin a Dazhai (me suena haber leído que hay autobuses que hacen eso), ver el pueblo y hacer el trekking hasta Ping'an donde haremos noche y veremos por los alrededores el atardecer para al día siguiente madrugar e ir a Guilin y de ahí a Yangshuo.
Es el plan perfecto y de hecho es el que hicimos nosotros pero a la inversa (bus a Ping’an, trekking de Ping’an a Dazhai, noche en Dazhai, bus desde Dazhai a Guilin).
Lo único que me gustaría aconsejarte es que una vez que empieces a andar hacia Ping’an tengas margen suficiente para poder llegar a Ping’an con algo de luz. Nosotros llegamos un poco justos y la verdad que acojonaba la idea de quedarnos sin luz en mitad del camino. No hay ni Dios xD

The mountain views looks like paintings: the colour changes from Dark to Light according to the distance from near to far. You can see the wonderful karst peaks layer after layer.

Día 4 - Duda qué hacer
Lo más importante son los primeros 3 días. Mis dudas, que me estoy volviendo loca... Leyendo el foro y mirando en google maps... Qué me recomendáis para ir a los arrozales? Dazhai?? Noche allí en un hotel o se puede dormir en casas o cómo va eso? Lo comento porque hice una excursión parecida en Vietnam y dormimos en casa de una tribu, viaje organizado claro. En cuanto a hacer trekking, está bien señalizado para hacerlo por nuestra cuenta o mejor coger una excursión? Si lo puedo hacer esas dos cosas (arrozales+crucero) quizá quitaría el cuarto día... No sé... Qué os parece?

Perfecto!! Muchas gracias. Como voy a esperar un poco para coger los vuelos Shanghai-Guilin y Guilin-X'ian pues así ya veré si me da para un cuarto día o lo tendremos que dedicar para volar a X'ian.
tengo tres noches para estar por guilin. Llegare a ultima hora. Realmente son dos días enteros.

¿Se pueden ver los arrozales de una manera medio decente sin hacerse un trecking brutal?
Mi propuesta podría ser:
- Día 1: LLego a guilin y pernocta en Hotel.
- Día 2: Visita de arrozales y viaje por la tarde a yangshuo.
- Día 3: crucero por el rio, y noche en yangshuo.
- Día 4: regreso a guilin y vuelo a shanghai.
Evidentemente que se puede.
En ese caso, mi recomendación sería que fueras directamente a Dazhai. Se tarda un poco más que a Ping'an pero merece mas la pena. Puedes ir y volver en el mismo día, pero estarás en los arrozales unas 3h más o menos.
Y el alojamiento del segundo día, déjalo también en Guilin. Logísticamente te será mas cómodo para llegar de los arrozales y para ir al día siguiente en el crucero por el río Li.
No merece la pena. No es gran cosa y además está lleno de super barcos que molestan mucho.
El tramo bonito es el de Yangdi a Xinping y es recomendable hacerlo en barca de bambu a motor.
Al acabar en Xinping te llevan a Yansghuo y te puedes quedar ahí ya.
¿Merece la pena bajar desde guilin hasta yangshuo todo en barco?
Por que puede ser una buena manera de llegar a yangshuo. ¿Admiten maletas en los barcos?

Hola latumbadehuma, si merece la pena creo que es algo personal, yo hice ese trayecto en barco desde Guilin a Yangshuo y me gustó mucho. Luego en Yangshuo también hice el paseo en barca de bambú, sin motor, por el río Yulong y estuvo bien, son experiencias diferentes.
El trayecto en barco desde Guilin a Yangshuo lo reservé a través del alojamiento Mountain Nest en esta localidad, incluyendo la recogida en el embarcadero y traslado al hotel.
Sí admiten maletas, viajamos con ellas , con la idea que señalas, llegar de Guilin a Yangshuo disfrutando de vistas preciosas desde la cubierta superior. En la parte de abajo hay asientos e incluye también algo de comida, arroz con pollo agua y té.

Buenas... Voy a ampliar un día la visita a la zona.
Eso me da mucho más juego. Pero creo que lo que haré es el mismo plan, pero alargando un día en yanhshuo. Supongo que algo se podrá hacer por allí, o simplmente descansar.
Buenas, el trayecto duró casi 4 horas, pero se pasan enseguida, las montañas son impresionantes, pasas por el mural de los caballos, la imagen que sale en los billetes de 20 yuanes y otro tipo de montañas a las que han bautizado con nombres curiosos por el parecido de sus formas rocosas con el animal o personaje en cuestión.
Contratando este crucero tienes la opción de regresar el mismo día a Guilin, después de un tiempo libre que dejan para recorrer Yangshuo. Nuestra idea era visitar Yangshuo con tranquilidad, nos quedamos 3 noches y por eso cargamos las maletas en el barco. Alquilamos bicicletas y fuimos hasta Yulong river, cueva de la luna, paseo en barca de bambú, ver el espectáculo nocturno Impressions... Hay un montón de actividades y si se alquila moto puedes hacer recorridos más largos.

We do arrange boat trips, once you let us know which hotel you are staying in Guilin, then we will send a driver to pick you up at the hotel lobby at about 8:30am and take you to Mopanshan pier for a 4 hours boat trip to Yangshuo, after you arrive at Yangshuo Longtoushan pier, our hotel driver will be meeting you there and then take you to our hotel. It costs 420 RMB per person including boat ticket, buffet lunch & pier transfers.

Respecto al crucero por el rio Li si no merece la pena, cómo es mejor hacer la parte que decís de barquitos de bambu? Yendo desde Guilin a Yangshuo y desde allí o cómo lo haríamos?
