Ambos son espectaculares, pero los suizos quizás más por contar con cumbres que superan los 4000 m. Destacaría la zona de los Alpes del Valais (pico Cervino o Matterhorn), donde está además el glaciar más grande de Europa (Aletsch, con 25 km) y los Alpes del Berner Oberland, con la cumbre de la Jungfrauhoch como pico más destacado.

En los Alpes suizos hay cantidad de senderos señalizados para hacer senderismo.
