"unlimited travel on designated JR train and bus lines (including shinkansen and limited express trains) in the entire service area of JR West which includes the Kansai, Chugoku and Hokuriku regions."

UPER GREEN PASS IN ITALY AND OTHER CONTAINMENT MEASURES
CONTAINMENT MEASURES ADOPTED BY ITALY WITH LEGISLATIVE DECREE OF DECEMBER 24, 2021 N. 221, LEGISLATIVE DECREE OF DECEMBER 30, 2021 N. 229 AND DECREE-LAW OF FEBRUARY 4, 2022 N. 5 and subsequent Orders
In Italy you may need to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or of having recovered from COVID-19, in order to access certain services (so called “Super Green Pass”).
Vaccination and recovery certificates in Italy hold a validity of 6 months only, as of February 1, 2022.
With Decree-Law of February 4, 2022 n. 5, the Government established an exception to the 6-month rule. Such exception applies to any person coming to Italy from abroad, whose vaccination or recovery certificate is older than 6 months. For the sole purpose of accessing services and facilities in Italy, which require the use of a Strengthened Green Pass, these individuals may show a proof of a negative test result, either molecular or antigenic. In this case, a molecular test is valid for 72 hours; an antigenic test is valid for 48 hours. Such exception applies as well to those who have received a vaccination with a vaccine not authorised by EMA or not recognized as equivalent in Italy.
Until 31 March 2022, wearing a mask is compulsory when indoor, in any place other than a private housing. Outdoors, individuals should always carry with them a personal protective device (mask) in order to use it if necessary (i.e. gatherings, queues and alike). There are few exceptions such as minors under the age of 6, persons experiencing temporary or permanent disabilities or who are performing sports activities. Italian Regions may adopt further restrictions.
From 10 January to 31 March 2022, access to:
- Hotels and other accommodation facilities, including in-house catering services reserved for customers;
- Public transport (planes, trains, ships and ferries used for interregional transport services, buses, cable cars, gondolas, chairlifts)
- Conventions, congresses, festivals, fairs;
- Festivals following civil and religious ceremonies;
- museums and exhibitions or other places of culture
- spas (except for essential services for rehabilitation and therapeutic purposes), cultural, social and recreational centres, theme and amusement parks;
is allowed ONLY to persons in possession of a Strengthened Green Pass. Children under the age of 12 and persons exempt from the vaccination campaign on the basis of appropriate medical certification are exempt.
The Strengthened Green Pass requirement does not apply to international flights but only to flights connecting Italian cities (domestic flights, e.g. Rome - Milan).
If you are transiting through Italy from abroad with a destination outside Italy (e.g. Frankfurt - Rome - Athens), you are not subject to the Strengthened Green Pass requirement, as long as you do not leave the transit area of the airport. The same applies in the case of sea or land transits (by train or coach).
A Strengthened Green Pass is also not required in case of transit from Italy (for less than 36 hours) by private means to reach the port or airport of departure to a foreign destination (e.g. from Nice to Genoa by car to embark for Tangier) or in case of crossing the Italian territory, by private means, to reach one's destination abroad.
Until 31 March 2022, for shows open to the public that...

New list of areas and countries that are considered high-risk due to COVID-19 enters into force on May 18. The definition of high-risk areas affects which individuals must quarantine in a quarantine facility upon arrival in Iceland. The definition of criteria for determining whether countries or areas are considered high-risk area has not been changed, this is only a change in the countries and regions that are considered high-risk areas due to COVID-19.
Mandatory quarantine in a quarantine facility: Passengers arriving from a country or region where the incidence rate of infection is 700 or higher, must unconditionally quarantine in a quarantine facility.This also applies if the incidence rate of infection is between 500-699 and the ratio of positive samples is 5% or higher, or if the incidence rate is over 500 but satisfactory information on the ratio of positive samples is not available. An exception from this requirement is only granted if there are pressing reasons to do so, such as the individual’s disability, level of mental development or other comparable reasons.
...Minister of Justice has issued a regulation banning unnecessary travel from specified high-risk areas due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The regulation enters into force today, 27 April, and remains in force until the end of May.
Until 31 May 2021, all foreigners who arrive from or have stayed in, for more than 24 hours within the last 14 days, an area where the 14-day incidence rate of infection is higher than 700 persons out of every 100 000 inhabitants, or where sufficient information about the area is not available, are forbidden from entering Iceland. The ban applies to all foreigners, including citizens of the EEA and EFTA, as well as all citizens of third countries.
IMPORTANT! As of 27th of April 2021 foreign nationals are UNAUTHORIZED to travel to Iceland if they are arriving from or have stayed for more than 24 hours in the last 14 days in countries or regions where:
the 14-day incidence rate of infection is 700 or higher per 100.000 population,
or if the incidence rate of infection is between 500-699 and the ratio of positive samples is 5% or higher,
satisfactory information on the ratio of positive samples is not available,
UNLESS they can provide a valid exemption.
Note – this applies to both EEA/EFTA citizens and third-country citizens.
From 7th of May 2021: EES/EFTA countries (category II) who are NOT permitted to travel to Iceland unless exemptions apply: 1) Andorra, 2) France, 3) Netherlands, 4) Croatia, 5) Cyprus, 6) Lithuania, 7) Poland, 8) Spain (mainland*), 9) Sweden and 10) Hungary.

Buenas noches;
Passengers from risk regions go to the test centres on their own after arriving and collecting their baggage. On-site registration is required to carry out a test. This is done digitally using an app. Swabs are taken by Charité and Vivantes medical staff. Registration and the swab itself usually only take a few minutes, however, waiting times must be expected depending on the demand. The test result is available within 72 hours. Those tested receive an email telling them that the result is available in the app. Returning travellers are still bound to comply with the current home quarantine regulations until the test result has been disclosed. If the test result is positive, the public health officer or responsible local health authority based on the postcode will contact the person concerned.
Free testing
The free testing opportunities for travellers arriving from non-risk areas cease on 15 September 2020, at the end of the summer holiday travel season. From 15 September 2020, persons entering the Federal Republic of Germany, having spent time in a risk area over the previous 14 days, will be entitled to free testing for a period of ten days after entry.
Almost all Ontario regions move forward to next stage of reopening today
Canadian Travel & Tourism Roundtable, an organisation of airlines, airports, hotels, and chambers of commerce across Canada, issued (Jun-2020) a letter to Canada‘s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and all Premiers. The letter, consisting of signatures from more than 120 businesses including Air Canada, WestJet, National Airlines Council of Canada and the Canadian Airports Council, calls on the government to “re-open the doors of our provinces, territories – and our country”. The letter stated the Canadian travel, tourism and hospitality sector “relies on the summer season to survive”, and believes “many of the travel restrictions currently in place are simply too broad or unnecessary”. It stated: “Limitations on inter-provincial travel that restrict Canadians from freely exploring our country, should be removed. Canadians should be free to travel across Canada“. The businesses also advocated for a “more targeted approach to international travel”, noting that “not all countries and regions are risky, and we shouldn’t treat them as such”. The letter concluded by noting it is “time to encourage Canadians and some visitors from abroad to explore our country this summer”.

"Indonesia will bar foreign nationals from transiting through or entering the country, officials announced on Tuesday, as the government steps up efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country without heeding growing calls for a complete lockdown to contain the pandemic."
"The Foreign Ministry previously banned flights to and from mainland China and some of the hardest-hit regions in Italy, South Korea and Iran, before expanding restrictions earlier this month to the Vatican, Spain, Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom."

Airbnb changes cancellation policy due to coronavirus outbreak
COVID-19 has a massive impact on whole travel industry. Today Airbnb announced a new policy – “Flexible Reservations in Times of Uncertainty”
Millions of travelers are still booking business trips, getaways and other places to stay, but with new cases being confirmed each day, countries start enforcing quarantine and setting new rules for arriving foreginers. This situation might be confusing and makes people uncertain about safety of their travel. That’s why Airbnb decided to adjust their cancellation policy and simplify the rules for those who might need it.
Free of charge cancellation is possible for guests traveling to or from regions that have been severely affected by virus.
Free of charge cancellation policy includes:
– Guests who are travelling to or from severely affected areas (for a list of areas affected and covered by this policy, check below)
– Hosts who are hosting in or welcoming guests from severely affected areas (for a list of areas affected and covered by this policy, check below)
– Anyone who can’t complete their trip due to official travel restrictions, medical or disease control duties, flight or ground transport cancellation initiated by the provider due to COVID-19, or suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19
The rules apply to following regions:
For guests with reservations in mainland China
– If you’re travelling within mainland China, the extenuating circumstances policy applies to any reservations booked on or before 28 January 2020, with check-in date of 1 April 2020 or earlier.
– If you’re travelling to mainland China from anywhere outside of mainland China, the extenuating circumstances policy applies to reservations booked on or before 1 February 2020, with check-in date of 1 April 2020 or earlier.
For guests with reservations in Italy
– If you’re travelling to or within Italy, the extenuating circumstances policy applies to reservations booked on or before 29 February 2020, with check-in date of 3 April 2020 or earlier
For guests with reservations in South Korea
– If you’re travelling to or within South Korea, the extenuating circumstances policy applies to reservations booked on or before 25 February 2020, with check-in date of 23 March 2020 or earlier.
For severe and unforeseen conditions, you may be eligible for an “extenuating circumstances” cancellation, which provides guests a 100% refund. You’ll find more information about criteria for this type of cancellation here.
Global scenarios for hosts or guests who must change or cancel travel, requiring documentation:
– In order to comply with disease control restrictions implemented by relevant governmental or health authorities
– In order to perform medical or disease control duties in connection with the COVID-19 outbreak;
– As a result of flight or ground transportation cancellations initiated by an airline or ground transportation provider due to the COVID-19 outbreak;
– In the event that they are diagnosed or suspected of being infected with COVID-19 by a medical or health authority.
For all other bookings made now through June 1, 2020, if guests need to cancel and are not due a refund of the Airbnb guest service fee, the service will refund that fee as a travel coupon which can be used on a future trip.
If you’re traveling from a region with many virus cases, you... Leer más ...
