However the website of the company states one thing, you get a confirmation by email stating the same thing with a price. And then things start to change. Suddenly meals are not included in the quoted price as stated on the page and in the first quote. If you start to inquire about it you get angry emails in full caps.

Y lo que tú comentar de no pagar un día

My interpretation: They don’t intend to do an early morning game drive, as they rely on the clients to follow the proposed activities and if explicitly asked for it, they provide a short fake game drive, so that they avoid the (complete) entrance fee.
Up to the last day, it was a good budged tour with friendly people, that's why I still give 2 stars. The accommodation during the tour is nice, the food is good based on the default national ingredients. The picnic lunch during the daily game drive is very basic. The bottle of beer for 350 Kenyan Shilling (>3$) seems to be overpriced for me. We had to push the Toyota Hiace twice, as it got stuck. I think, it's not a 4x4 and I'm wondering, what will be during wet season. The surcharge for paying by credit card before the tour of 5% is ridiculous, so I went to an ATM to pay cash. They asked me several times to give 5-star-review, even sent me a link to this page.

Cuando se califica algo de increíble o top o algún adjetivo similar...mi duda siempre es comparado con qué!¿

Ya contarás

EnvíoAsunto: Avoid Locauto Italy like the Plague

Italy is probably first choice for many as a grape escape destination in the Old World. Perhaps the most visited wine region in Italy is Tuscany and most wine tourists making the journey to Italy will most likely be landing at Rome Fiumicino Airport or Leonardo da Vinci as it is also called. The FIT traveler will undoubtedly be a DIY wine tourist and one of the first things to do upon arrival will be to rent a car as most wineries tend to be down hidden lanes and not accessible by public transport.

So which car rental company should you choose? Better question would be which car rental NOT to choose? The answer to the latter question is clearly the Italian car rental company Locauto who since 2013 are partners with Enterprise Rent a car.

We often need the use of a car rental company. We had the misfortune on 16 December 2015 to contract the services of Locauto and here is my story.

Upon arrival at Rome Airport I mistakenly made my way to the Hertz desk (our usual car rental provider) and gave in my papers and was surprised to discover we were using a different company namely Locauto.

Around the corner at the Locauto counter there were 3 ladies sat down chatting and having a laugh amongst themselves. After finishing off a few chuckles and words which amounted a 2 minutes, the one in the middle reached out for papers in hand and started the car rental admin. I was then asked to fill in a form requesting information provided at the time of booking online. By now 4 people had made a queue to get a car and at which time one of the employees went off somewhere while the other decided to do some computer work she obviously hadn’t finished prior to the 3 having a chat.

15 minutes later when all was signed I was told that the car was not ready but would be in 15 minutes and in the meantime I should make my way down to the car pick up area. This I did taking 7 minutes to get to the pick up spot. With papers in hand I was ready to go but this was not going to be an easy task. I was told that the car was not ready yet as it had to be washed and oil checked and so on and it would take 15 minutes to which I said that I could not be delayed any further as I had a meeting appointment somewhere in Marche to keep and suggested they gave me another car or up or down grade. Indeed, I pointed to a Renault Clio which was the model paid for and was told that the car I pointed out was automatic and therefore more expensive. 25 minutes later my car arrived and guess what it was the same Renault Clio that was parked up when I arrived and it was a manual drive.

Next came the damage check and I was shown a piece of paper indicating more than a dozen scratches or dents and was informed that the petrol gauge did not show a full tank of petro l as it was faulty and was told that I should trust Locauto or more specifically the girl in charge that the tank was full – well all of this took 10 more minutes making a total from desk to driving out of the car park a whopping 57 minutes !!

Well after that nothing else to report and yes I arrived about 30 mins late for my appointment.

Next day and just before arriving at the airport I stopped to refuel in order to return the car full of petrol and guess what? The fuel gauge needle marked a full tank and I thought to myself you lying xxxxxxx

It was touch and go to get to the airport on time and in time to make check in. Returning the car proved to be another difficult task. With 7...

Hello,

I wanted to warn possible travellers to Ametlla de Mar/Les Tres Cales en Costa Dorada to avoid at all cost MistralvillasFamily.com. They are a bunch of crooks that will come up with unbelievable claims to steal your deposit money.
They advertised the property as "Very High Standard" but when we arrived we found a really decrepit property, with lights broken, tiny old towels, terrible beds and bed linen, a murky pool, squeaky doors, Air Con in only 2 of the 6 bedrooms (they claim all bedrooms have AC, but 4 just have noisy fans trying to bring some air from the livingroom), massively underequiped kitchen (no frying pans, no tray in microwave, no tray in oven, malfunctioning oven & fridge.

We arrived on Sat evening and complained to get some basics fixed and the property manager hang up the phone and said she was not working until Monday - call back then!!!

The worst has been afterleaving the property the owner is keeping part of the deposit claiming costs of sending someone to clean the pool, oil the squeaky doors, fix a curtain rail that was broken before we got there, and some other similarly crazy things!!

Pass on the message to friends travelling to Ametlla de Mar/Les Tres Cales

Guide for Ramadan

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar and is one of the most important months for Muslims as it is believed this is the month that the Qu'ran was first revealed to the Prophet Mohammed (Pbuh).

During this month all healthy Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset when they must refrain from all food, drink, gum chewing, any kind of tobacco use, and any kind of intimacy.

People who are physically or mentally unwell are exempt, as are people who are travelling, women who are pregnant, who are menstruating and children under twelve.

If the fast is missed they should try to make up the fast at a later date, or make a donation to the poor instead.

Ramadan or Sawn is one of the five pillars of Islam which all Muslims are expected to follow, the other four are Faith (Shahadah); Prayer (Salah), Charitable Giving (Zakah), and the Pilgrimage to Makkah (Hajj).

During Ramadan most Muslims will tend to wake up just before sunrise to eat a meal or some food and this is known as Suhoor. They will then not be able to eat or drink again until sunset when it is traditional to open the fast with a date and then eat and this meal is known as Iftar.

"Living in Abu Dhabi all residents have to respect the month of Ramadan which means adopting the following rules in public places during daylight hours."
DO's and DON'Ts: •No eating, drinking or smoking in public.
•Dress more modestly taking care to cover the shoulders, knees and chest area.
•Don’t play loud music in your home or car.
•No public displays of affection.
Things That Are Different: •Some businesses change their opening hours- people are only supposed to work 6 hours a day during Ramadan.
•Some shops may close in the afternoon (1pm onwards) but most also stay open to later times.
•There is no live music allowed during Ramadan and of course no alcohol served during daylight - bars and restaurants do open in the evening though with light background music.
•Rush hour time changes from 6pm till 2pm as most offices close at that time.

Tips for non-fasters:
•There are restaurants and cafes that have a special licence open during the day for non- fasters and these will be screened off from public view so it is still possible to eat outside your home. Most hotels have an outlet open during the day too.
•If you work most offices will implement an area for eating and drinking - don’t have coffee or water at your desk as it may disturb your colleagues.
•If you are pregnant you are exempt from fasting but it is polite to still be discreet. Same with children - they do not have to fast too but it is always best to be discreet.
•Your car is classed as a public place so definitely no smoking in there - but a car can be a handy spot to grab a quick drink or bite as long as you are very discreet.
•You can also use restrooms in malls etc. to take a drink.
•Try and be patient with people who are fasting - it is tough and it is hot here. Ramadan is a time of peace and you should not shout or show anger.
•The roads do tend to become a little faster than normal just before Iftar time as people are rushing home to break their fast - take care or avoid driving at this time.

Ramadan is a very special time of year - so embrace where you are and join in - why not try fasting to see what...
