Envío Asunto: Bad experience with Big FIVE SAFARIS - Tanzania  Publicado:
We are a group of 6 friends. We hired a 7-day package with a safari company (*BIG FIVE SAFARIS*) from Spain, advised by the staff of the Arusha BackPapers Hostel (dirty hostel, dirty sheets... I thought I would sleep standing up)
We closed a fixed price with the commercial (we have a record of everything on WhatsApp) and our surprise was that the commercial received us in Arusha and when we went to pay him, he wanted us to give him everything in advance and asked us for 200 euros more than what was agreed per person + 10 euros per person and day tip per driver, another 10 p guide and another 10 p cook.
We refuse, and the boss comes. After many discussions we agreed on 100 euros more per person with tips included.
1. They change our SUV, they put us in an old one, the windows don't close, no air conditioning, the refrigerator doesn't work.
2.Broken tents (one was flooded one night when it rained and we had to reorganize in the remaining two) Dirty and torn bags and a thin and dirty mattress. (THE SALESMAN HAD SENT US PHOTOS OF STORES WITH HIGH INFLATABLE MATTRESSES, WITH SHEETS...)
3. They ration our food. For example, only 1 slice of bread per day for breakfast. They didn't give us napkins, we ran out of powdered milk and we had to ask those in another group because they didn't give us more.
4. On the 4th day the tent erectors did not come and they forced us to help set them up.
5. We asked for another mattress to make it softer and we didn't get it.
6. On the last day, we had agreed on three things to visit and on the third, the boss (Always on the phone through the guide, he did not show his face at any time) said that they would not take us, that we should go on our own.
7. The boss did not give them the agreed tip and we decided to give it to them, after all, the driver, the guide and the cook were errands who did their job well. They were not to blame for everything that was happening to us.

I REPEAT, NEVER IN THE TRIPS WE HAVE TAKEN, AND WE HAVE TAKEN A FEW, HAVE WE HAD TO DEAL WITH PEOPLE AS DISHONEST AND INFORMAL LIKE THE SALESMAN AND BOSS OF THIS COMPANY.

I am trying to report the situation we have experienced, from Spain, I don't know if anyone could help me.

...the latest reports on the new Covid-19 variant (now called Omicron) discovered by South African scientists and the subsequent placing of our country on various countries’ red lists, effectively banning travel from South Africa to these countries.

We applaud the diligence of our globally renowned local scientists who discovered the variant through collaborative efforts with laboratories and the Network for Genomic Surveillance in South Africa and acted swiftly to inform the rest of the world, in compliance with their international obligations. Our country’s epidemiological reputation is world-class and South Africa prides itself on this. This important discovery was also noted and commended by Secretary of State in the US, Antony Blinken who praised South Africa for quickly identifying the new COVID-19 strain and sharing this information with the world.

While the South African scientists correctly and proactively informed the world in contributing to the global efforts to alleviate the spread of the new variant, this did not mean that the variant originated in South Africa. The announcement of the new variant by our scientists has unfortunately had unintended consequences resulting in many countries closing their borders for travellers from South Africa. Post South Africa’s discovery of this new variant, it has emerged that the Omicron variant has been detected in various other countries around the world including Britain, Belgium, Botswana, Germany, Italy, Hong Kong, Israel and the Czech Republic.

“SA Tourism’s short term strategic initiatives and trade engagements in key source markers were starting to pay off as we saw an increase in bookings with more and more travellers wanting to visit South Africa again. Over the last few months, we also witnessed increased optimism and confidence towards our country with more airlines reinstating direct flights to South Africa and more strategic partners engaging with us in the promotion of the South African tourism sector. We were truly on the right trajectory to save jobs in our industry. This latest development is certainly going to have a devastating effect on our tourism industry, airlines and business partners,” says South African Tourism, Acting Chief Executive Officer, Sthembiso Dlamini.

“We would like to emphasize that our country remains open for all those travellers who wish to visit. We also encourage all South Africans to continue with their plans to go out there to explore and enjoy travelling within South Africa, while observing guidelines laid out by the national command centre from time to time. The resilience of domestic tourism is key to the recovery of South Africa’s tourism sector and to the economy as this helps avoid any further job losses,” adds Dlamini.

“The latest travel bans on South Africa are extremely disappointing and premature considering the limited information we have about this new variant. Whilst we cannot control the international market, we can control how we handle the crisis domestically, and will support the government to amplify vaccination opportunities and protect lives and livelihoods that depend on the tourism industry. Further restrictions will exacerbate an already devastated and ailing tourism industry and will negatively affect various other industries in South Africa.” said Tshifhiwa Tshivhengwa, CEO of the Tourism Business Council of South Africa.

...which has more to offer than meets the eye,

Qeshm Island is ideally located in south of Iran, close to Bandar Abbas, one of Iran’s famous sea port and benefits from a large amount of hours of sun per year, so it makes it an ideal place to travel to all year round.

The dolphin shape island, allows you to enjoy being entertained by the friendly dolphins and the underwater world in either one of their shows or even meeting up-close while you’re having a dip in one of the turquoise seas around this amazing island.

Iran might be famous for its Kish island as one of the most sought after touristic destinations, but Qeshm is truly one of the hidden gems of Iran, which offer a variety of entertainment, landscapes, beaches, cuisines and fun activity for all tastes; So wherever you travel in Qeshm, you’ll find it has rich tales to share; history, and a lot of legends.

Wake up in paradise

The stunning landscapes and friendly locals are with their colorful Traditional regional clothes will make you feel welcome from the first impression.

People and places

Meet friendly people and listen to the traditional music while. Hiking around the Islands and Diving in Persian Gulf.

Qeshm has strong trade and cultural ties to India and Pakistan, and you can taste some of the cultural exchange in the more spice oriented cuisine compared to the rest of Iran.

However, they truly know themselves to be Iranian first and foremost, and the rest of the food is prepared the traditional Iranian way.

Discover Hara Marine forests (Mangrove jungle)

It is said around 1.5% of world’s birds and 25% of Iran’s native birds can be found in this beautiful Mangrove tree forests. Depending on the time of your visit, you can go about on the waterways during the high tides and enjoy the beautiful mangroves. This forest is mainly used for fishing, tourist boats, and a small amount of leaf-cutting for livestock feed. Sea turtles, crabs, shrimp, snakes, herons, cranes, and pelicans are among the animals that call this forest home.
For booking an Iran hotel [edited by moderator] would be my recommondation.

Portuguese Fortress

Portuguese Castle is one of the remaining architectures left behind from the time of the Portuguese occupancy of the island in the 16th century to maintain control over the Strait of Hormoz, some locals believe the name for some Islands around Qeshm and Hormoz originated from Portuguese roots with the mean of “good economy Island”.

Hengam Island

Full of tropical fishes, variety of dolphin involved activities. Enjoy the fascinating rock formations and a mixture of glistening black sand over beige sand make it a little bit more heavenly. The roaming Gazelle which obtain their drinking water from pressing their hooves into the ground populate this beautiful island in the Persian Gulf.

Bandar Laft

Many ancient Persian architectural structure, wind catchers, ventilation system (badger) and ancient water reservoirs (Ab Anbar) still exist and are still used by locals today.

This fishing town is located on the fin of Qeshm Island and is known for its many stone drilled wells called (Talla Wells) with a unique name for each one, according to the days in a leap year, and still used and remembered by the locals. 100 of these wells still remain to date and can be visited by travelers.

Do you know that some scenes of the Lion King's trilogy were actually developed from Kenya's beautiful Hell's gate National Park. This country indeed has some beautiful places you can visit.

The Lion King borrows a lot from Kenya, not just the scenery. The names used for the characters are Swahili names from one of the main languages used in Kenya. Even the theme song 'Hakuna Matata' is actually a Swahili phrase. I haven't been to Hell's Gate Park yet but it's already on my itinerary for my next trip to Kenya.

You now know the setting of Lion King was based on a real place! That's good movie trivia. It does sound like an awesome place to go biking.

Does anyone wanna travel to meetup in Hell's Gate?
Sealed,re-watch Lara Croft tomb raider !!. Apparently some of the filming was done at Hell's Gate, and from what I saw in the movie, it's amazing!

National park of Kenya is looking very attractive for the tourist friends had to go and come back recently.

About the natural beauty of the park is very attractive and many films shooting is made in this park...

Has anyone of you visited this country before, if so do you mind sharing your experiences at Hell's gate national park?

Hah, I love going places that have appeared in films. It doesn't matter if I've seen it yet, I like being able to recognize someplace I've been on the screen
