Selcuk es lo que es, un pueblo tranquilo bien situado al lado de Efeso y de Pamukac y Kusadasi, ni mas ni menos.
Tienes cerca la playa de Pamukac, a mi me encantó, es un arenal inmenso y con una zona relativamente virgen; si vas con niños tienes en un extremo de la playa un Aquapark (ellos dicen que es uno de los mas grandes de Europa)
Me gusto Efeso o mas concretamente la biblioteca de Celso me parecio impresionante, si lo recomendaria.
Sobre Selcuk no es que sea una maravilla pero tampoco nos desagrado tanto, aunque no dormimos en el y seguimos hacia Pamukkale, la suerte de esto de viajar es cada uno tiene un punto de vista diferente, espero que a ti no te desagrade.

Selcuk es horrible? Nosotros hemos cogido el alojamiento alli por la cercanía a Efeso... Que os pareció Efeso? Lo recomendáis?

Hola RuG_et, el año pasado hice un viaje parecido al que propones, te digo más o menos el itinerario:
- 4 días en Estambul (viaje hasta Nevsehir en avión)
- 3 en Capadocia, Goreme (me hubiera quedado 1 día más)
- 1 día en Konya
- 1 día en Antalya
- 3 días en la zona de Kas (me hubiera quedado mas tiempo...)
- Vuelta a Antalya y, desde allí, a Pamukkale (medio día)
- 1 día en Selçuk (para ver Éfeso)
- Desde Selçuk, al aeropuerto de Izmir (sin pasar por la ciudad, ya que hay un tren directo de Selçuk al aeropuerto)
- 1 días más en Estambul y vuelta a España.
Te recomiendo especialmente la zona del Mediterráneo en torno a Kas (Kekova, Demre, Patara, Kalkan, etc.) Es mucho más bonita y relajada que la zona de Bodrum, Marmaris, etc., mucho más masificada. Estuve allí hace 8 años y, sin duda, me quedo con el Mediterráneo antes que con el Egeo.
La costa del Mar Negro no la conozco, quedará para el siguiente viaje pq tiene buena pinta.
Al respecto de los autobuses desde Kusadasi a Éfeso, os comento lo que he encontrado en una guia routard acerca del tema:
"Los dolmus están situados en la parte alta de la ciudad, a 500 m del centro, al sur, por la calle Ismet Inönu, en Adnan Menderes Cadessi" (en un plano supongo que vendrá indicado). "Lo más práctico para ir a Efeso es parar al dolmus que pasa por Atatürk Caddesi, en la esquina de Ismet Bulvari, muy cerca del centro. Para ir directamente al yacimiento de Efeso, bajad 2 km antes de Selçuk. Preguntadle al conductor".
La guía tiene 4 años pero supongo que de lo dicho no habrá mucha diferencia. O sí. Baste como indicación.
Yo estuve en Selçuk y en Bergama alojado. Creo que es mucho más cómodo para las visitas...
¿Desde dónde vendrías? ¿hacia dónde irías después? dependiendo de la ruta, te compensaría o hacer "base" en Izmir.

Hola a todos. Me voy a Turquía por libre y tengo unas cuantas dudas. Ahora mismo la que más, saber si es más conveniente reservar hotel en Izmir para hacer visitas desde allí a Efeso y Pergamo o si es mejor reservar hotel en Selçuk para ir a Efeso y en Bergama para ver Pergamo. También me gustaría saber si hay alguna playa de arenas blancas en Turquía. Gracias.
yo me iria directamente a selcuk q es un pueblo muy tranquilo, porq izmir es como valencia de grande o algo asi. se q hay un tren de izmir a selcuk tambien pero ni idea de horarios
hola javier y a todos, gracias por tu ayuda , si mira es mi esposo el que viaja el llega a izmir en un vuelo de turkish, a las 17h10,del miercoles 23 junio aconsejas mejor quedarse en izmir a dormir y al dia siguiente ir tempranito a selcuk para visitar efesos, o ir visitando lugares en la ida o en el regreso ya que solo estara el dia sigte. en selcuk o izmir ya que tiene su regreso a las 21h00 el jueves 24 para visitar istambul por 3 dias, tengo reservado el hotel uzmer en selcuk pero bueno estoy pensando que sea mejor si quedarse en izmir y tomar un bus o coche para visitar lo mas importante alrededor de izmir, tu que piensas? que piensan viajeros?
tambien si alguien llega alrededor de las 17h10 a izmir y desee trasladarse a selcuk me contacta por favor,

adriana selcuk a efeso q es asi lo mas interesante de la zona son 2,7 a la entrada km se tarda una media hora andando vas por un camino paralelo a la carretera y te da sombra asi q se hace muy bien unos 2 km luego tienes la entrada yo te aconsejo q vayas andando porq es tonteria.
aparte que nada mas salir de selcuk direccion efeso tienes a mano derecho el templo de artemisa ( aunq queda una columna na mas) es muy bonito tb y no cobran nada.
en selçuk tienes el castillo tb.
desde la estacion de autobuses sale un min ibus(es q no me acuerdo como sellaman en turco ) que salen a sirince un pueblo muy bonito tb. q en 15 minutos estas en el pueblo ese. luego esta kusadasi q es mas en plan como benidorm a mi no me gusto mucho la verdad
em goreme lo mejor q puedes hacer es hablar con el de tu hotel q ellos tienen excursiones seguro yo hice uno por la zona de mustafapasa y esas carreteras de por ahi.

turkish air es una buena linea aerea, con las otras te arriesgas a piñarte en algun lado yo cuando fui unos dias antes se dio una leche una compañia en turkia q ni dios la conocia
efeso el aeropuerto mas cercano es izmir de izmir a selcuk q es la ciudad base de efeso ( a 2 km la tienes) dista de izmir a 60 km y o vas en taxi q te sale un ojo de la cara o vas en los minibuses q seguro q te saldran del centro de izmir, yo recuerdo de ir con un taxi a dos km de el aerpuerto donde se cogia un minibus de esos en gaziemir a mi personalmente me gusto esta experiencia porque era como si te metias en un barrio cualquiera de españa de clase media-baja la verdad qera asi pense q me iba a atracar porq eramos los unicos extranjeros pero todo lo contrario, si quieres mas o menos te lo puedo decir donde era, porq en el aeropuerto los taxista te dicen q ellos te llevan
yo tb aconsejo ir en ramadan, es mas hasta el ayuintamiento de estambul nos daba de cenar lo mismo q ellos, eso si en los puestos q montan cerca de la mezquita azul te pegan un sablazo con el te....
en la capadocia hace calorcito tb por la noche, y en ramadan a las 4 de la mañana ves a al gente como en procesion o algo yo durmiendo escuchaba a la gente como llamando a otra para q se uniesen
y sobre efeso merece la pena aunq selcuk es una ciudad un tanto aburrida sino es por el backgamon o como se escriba
