Buenas,
Viajo a Japon este Octubre y me surge una duda al respecto.
¿Veis algun problema por llevar en la maleta un par de sobres de jamoncito envasado al vacio?¿nos diran algo en la aduana? Supongo que mientras no lo transportes en cantidades industriales no debiera haber problema... ¿alguien ha hecho esto antes o sabe algo al respecto?

Animal quarantine is a quarantine system that is implemented worldwide for the purpose of preventing the incursion of animal illnesses and diseases. Japan conducts both import and export inspections for cattle, pigs, goats, sheep, horses, chickens, anserine birds such as ducks, turkeys, ostrich, honey bees and other animals as well as products and goods manufactured or derived from these animals. Inspections are conducted upon arrival and departure in order to prevent the incursion into Japan of rabies. In addition, monkeys are also subject to inspection upon entry in order to prevent the incursion into Japan of diseases that are transmitted from monkeys to humans that have not yet occurred in Japan such as Ebola hemorrhagic fever and Marburg viral disease.

Airports or seaports of entry for these animals and animal products are designated.

1. Bringing Animal Products into Japan

1. Bringing animals and meat products into Japan requires an inspection certificate issued by an organization of the exporting government (equivalent to the Japanese Animal Quarantine Station). The Certificate is required regardless of transport type, such as cargo, accompanied, or postal article, of quantity, or of usage such as gifts or personal consumption, etc. No animals or meat products can be brought into Japan without this inspection certificate, even if they have been bought at the Tax-free shops of the airport.
2. Importation of beef meat, bovine organs, and any other products of bovine origin such as hams sausages, bacons etc. From certain countries or regions is prohibited. There may be a case where temporal suspension of import may be imposed due to the outbreak of livestock infections in the countries from which importation of animals and meat products are permitted. For details, please inquire at the nearest Animal Quarantine Station.
3. Upon arrival, please bring in the livestock products with the certified inspection to the Animal Quarantine Counter located in the airport/seaport (Customs Inspection Area) for inspection. Please note that the product cannot be brought into Japan if the package is opened before the inspection at the Animal Quarantine Counter.
