El valor arqueológico de Festos es indudable, pero dicho esto.............. Me alegró un montón el día que fuimos y estaba cerrado el yacimiento porque lo pudimos ver desde fuera y fué bastante. Es muy pequeño y está completamente destruido. Pasar por Matala está bien para una noche (cenar en Gianni's con su Cretan Plate) y luego seguir camino hasta la preciosa e imprescindible Patsos Gorge (Garganta que se hace en 2h30' i/v andando. La parte oeste de la isla es mucho más interesante.
Para no repetirme mira mis mensajes anteriores, sobre todo mi segundo viaje a Creta. Buen viaje !!!

Ya estoy organizando los apuntes y veo que se dice monasterio agia Triafa cerca de Chania.... Y yo en el mapa lo tengo apuntado cerca de festos y matala....

Cerca de chania wn el mapa no lo junoooo jajaja, igual son las legañas pero no lo veo.

El monasterio de Agia Triada está en la península de Akrotiri, Neguel. Es precioso, vale la pena visitarlo si os paseáis por Akrotiri (que también es muy chula y vale la pena).

Tengo apuntado que está cerca del monasterio gouvernetou y en el mapa éste si aparece y cerca el katholikou q está la cueva de san juan y éste también aparece. Será que ag triada es tan famoso que han pasado de ponerlo jajaja

Una recomendación para festos... No vayas a las horas en las q mas casca el sol... No hay sombras apenas, solo un pequeño bar (con helados salvadores), creo q fue el sitio de toda creta donde mas sudamos, pero totalmente imprescindible como visita cultural

Exacto, está a 2 km de Gouverneto, nosotros también intentamos visitar este monasterio pero estaba en obras. Tenía muy buena pinta, espero que las hayan terminado Laughing

Igual es buena opción llevar un paraguas y usarlo de sombrilla tanto para festos como knosos jajajajaja

A festos iremos a primera hora pero dependerá de la hora de despertarnos, knosos iremos por la tarde

En knossos todavia hay alguna sombra...

Cierto es q depende de la epoca del año y a lo q estes acostumbrado claro... Los del norte con 30º estamos achicharrados, y en sevilla casi tienen frio Very Happy

Sí, en Knossos hay alguna sombra, bajo los árboles, pinos creo que eran, y con las cigarras cantando a todo trapo! Amistad
Además, como está alto pasa un airecillo muy agradable, yo pensaba que sería calurosísimo y lo soportamos bastante bien a finales de agosto. Entramos a las cuatro de la tarde.
Eso sí, carrio, no soy del norte, bueno, no tanto como tú, soy catalana.
