Good evening to all,

I would like to ask for a favor. Tomorrow, on Sunday 12.1.2020 I need to move from Malaga to Nerja where I will stay for a few weeks. I have a travel bag, hand luggage and two boxes with me. It's not big in volume. But I am alone in Spain and moving with all this by bus or train would be difficult for me.

Therefore I would like to ask if is here someone who will go by car on Sunday 12.1.2020 from Malaga to Nerja and could pick up me...

Well thank you!

Hello Whitten, it's a shame that 1354 people have read your post but nobody has responded. Although I am a bit late as your trip was three years ago, I wanted to share with you a company that treated me very well on my travels to Malaga - they are called thetransfercompany.net. (I apologize if it is not allowed to post links to companies on the forum - please let me know, and I will edit my post accordingly.) It seems like nobody has written anything, not even a suggestion. It's as if the forum were empty. But I wanted to post to show that it's still active. Malaga is a luxurious city, and Nerja is also lovely, although there are a lot of tourists there! Muy feliz

ENG-ESP-FR

We finally took off after 2h! We arrived my husband, my baby and I, in Barcelona at midnight.
We lost all the transportation we were supposed to take if we arrived on time. No bus to back home (6€ of bus ticket) and we had to take a taxi (66,80€).
When few days after I made a reclamation to the company to at least reimburse the unplanned cost, and explain them that they let us with a baby of 15 months without any solution, they only answer that they will not do anything. They do not want to assume their responsibility.
I think that is not the best way to treat client. They could assume a little bit their responsibility.
I understand better what I heard about this company and it just confirm that I was the 1st and last time I will travel with them!
------

...If the shoes are fancy and have quality soles and decoration, the cost may bump up to 100 RMB. 100 RMB should be able to get you any non-work shoes.
7) Dress Shoes (custom made) – Initial offer: 500 – 800 RMB. You pay: 150 RMB. If 150 RMB doesn’t work, go to the next stall and try 155 RMB. Keep this going until you get the lowest price. No matter what, you should never pay more than 200 RMB for a pair of shoes.
8) Uggs – Initial offer: 400 – 600 RMB. You pay: 110 RMB. No need to pay full price for your Uggs. 110 RMB should be a solid offer.
9) Calvin Klein boxer briefs – Initial offer: 20 – 50 RMB. You pay: 6 RMB. The offer may need to be bumped up 1 or 2 RMB, but never go over 10 RMB for these.
10) Socks – Initial price: 15 RMB / pair. You pay 5 RMB / pair. You may even be able to go lower based on how many socks you buy.
11) Top Quality Automatic Watches – Initial offer 500 – 2000 RMB. You pay: 120 – 250 RMB. To get the best quality watches, tell the vendor that you want better quality watches when he brings out the first batch of watches. When he brings out the second batch, ask again for better quality. If he can’t bring out better, you have the best quality of watches. You may want to leave this vendor to go to another to see if you can find even better quality watches. There is a lot of discussion over what the proper prices are for the top watches. Due to the heightened demand of fake watches with the influx of foreigners (thanks the the Expo), look to spend a bit more than you did last year. I was unfortunately unsuccessful during my attempts to get the best of the best a few weeks ago for under 200. This was partially due to the opening weekend of the Expo and partially due to the time of day/day of week/weather. When you shop for fake watches, make sure you read my guide on negotiation strategies in the fake market and read the comments below on fake watches. Shop to the best of your abilities and be happy with your purchase (just promise me that you won’t spend over 400 RMB, under any circumstances).
12) Woman’s Bag (e.g. Coach, LV) – Initial offer: 300 – 1000 RMB. You pay: 100 RMB. 100 RMB seems to be the sweet spot for bag prices. You may need to pay a bit more, but not much. Use 100 RMB as a starting point for even the best woman’s bags. Because you can find these bags at multiple stalls, don’t waiver from your 100 RMB price at the first stand. If they say no, walk out and try a slightly higher price at the next stand.
13) Leather Designer Belt – Initial offer: 80 – 150 RMB. You pay: 25 RMB. Depending on the fake market dealer, the quality of the belt, and the location of the store, you may need to pay a bit more. However, start at 25 RMB for the best of belts and go elsewhere if your offer isn’t accepted.
14) T-Shirts (e.g. Shanghai shirts, Billabong shirts) – Initial offer: around 100 RMB. You pay: 25 RMB. You likely would hesitate to pay 100 RMB for a plain shirt in your home country. Why pay it in China. 25 RMB is a fair price.
15) Northface Fleece Jacket – Initial offer: around 400 RMB. You pay: 150 RMB. You may be able to get a little lower depending on the time of day, quality, and location.
16) Laptop Bag – Initial offer: 300 – 700 RMB. You pay: 60 RMB. Even the best leather bags can be had for well under 100 RMB. Choose the best and offer 60 RMB. If you can’t get it for this price, go to the next stand and offer 65 or 70 RMB.
17) Northface large backpack...

Brúarfoss is a beautiful waterfall but can be difficult and frustrating to find.
Nearly everyone we have talked to who has tried to find it has gotten lost or
has had to try multiple times to locate it, even with access to GPS coordinates.
Brúarfoss is located near a residential neighborhood of vacation homes and
the residents are not particularly welcoming to those seeking to find the
waterfall. Since the first time we visited in 2012, two of the three access roads
into the neighborhood have been gated. If you are uncomfortable walking or
driving through a neighborhood where you are not terribly welcome, where
the division between public and private property is ambiguous, or with hiking
through an area with no helpful signs and few obvious waypoints, you might
want to skip this location. If you do want to find Brúarfoss, allow sufficient
time to find it for the first time – you will likely need it!
There multiple ways to locate the waterfall and we will summarize two,
both of which have difficulties. To get to the general area from the town of
Laugarvatn (between Þingvellir and Geysir) continue north on Route 37 for
approximately 13.5 km and you will cross the bridge spanning the Brúar River.
From here, your options include:

Option 1: From Route 37, park near the bridge spanning the Brúar River.
Facing the river to the north, start navigating up the right side of the river.
You will come to an occasional path through patches of dense brush, plus
some muddy and steep sections. You will pass two other waterfalls along the
way. You will know you have reached Brúarfoss when you get to a wooden
footbridge over the river just below the falls (64.264305, -20.515338). Be
prepared for route-finding, bushwhacking, and messy hiking. Expect that it
will take you at least 45 minutes to reach Brúarfoss from the road.

Option 2: From the bridge over the Brúar River on Route 37, take the third left
turn approximately 2.3 km later into the residential neighborhood. You may
encounter a gate. If the road is gated, park here and walk. Whether you walk
or drive, head up this road to the north for another 1.6 km (keeping left at any
fork) until you reach 64.26235, -20.50825, a small grassy area on the right side
of the road. If you have managed to drive to this spot, this is a good place to
park away from the houses and driveways.
From the grassy area, you may be able to see a wooden footbridge to the
west about 150 meters away (not necessarily straight ahead depending on
how you have parked; while you are facing west, be...

My boyfriend and I also used this guide whilst we were out in Nepal – we were recommended by a friend who used him when she did Everest Base Camp. We decided to do the Annapurna Circuit plus base camp.
We met with Sanjib in Kathmandu when we arrived in Nepal and we told him what we wanted to do and how much time we had etc. He told us about a few trips that were possible and we eventually came up with this one.
It was the most amazing trip and wouldn’t have been the same without him and Ram our porter (.
We spent 20 days trekking in November 2011 and Sanjib was able to answer all of our questions from the birds to the trees to the mountains and religion. It was a very cultural trek with so much history.
Some people say that it is possible to do the trek without a guide, which may be true but you miss so much when you are on your own and we learnt such a lot from Sanjib which meant that we understood so much more of Nepal when we visited different areas.
We paid all of our money to him up front, which we were dubious about at the start as we didn’t know him but I wouldn’t say that this was a problem at all.
He made sure we were happy and safe and had full bellies at all times and made sure that we knew everything about altitude sickness which we didn’t get in the end thanks to his slower pace higher up and aclimatisation walks. We also took Diamox, under his recommendation and we were both fine and only suffered a bit of tingling in our faces (a side effect of the drug)!
I would recommend Sanjib to ANYONE that was thinking about going trekking in Nepal, I would love to go back and visit him and do another trek with him when I have the time! There are so many guides out there that claim to do everything that he does but I wouldn’t choose anyone without a recommendation because you hear so many stories about dodgy guides and it would be so sad to lose your money and have a bad experience.

Previsión de Jeff Masters, gurú de la climatología tropical.

Forecast for 99L
Wind shear is expected to remain light to moderate, 5 - 15 knots, through Friday, ocean temperatures will remain near 28°C, and mid-level moisture will be a moderate 60 - 70%, according to the 8 am EDT run of the SHIPS model. The disturbance has gained a bit of latitude and is now at 11°N, which will help it leverage the Earth's spin more to acquire its own spin. These conditions are probably sufficient for 99L to become Tropical Depression Five, with Thursday being the most likely day for this to happen. However, the reliable computer models are not very eager to develop 99L, and none show it becoming a hurricane over the next five days. This is probably because the atmosphere over the tropical Atlantic is unusually stable for this time of year (Figure 2), with large-scale areas of dry, sinking air present. Climatologically, we see very few Cape Verdes-type hurricanes forming near the Lesser Antilles Islands this early in August, and I expect 99L will struggle at times over the next few days. This is particularly likely if 99L goes north of 13°N, where a band a high wind shear of 20 - 40 knots associated with the subtropical jet stream lies. At 8 am Wednesday, NHC gave 99L a 60% chance of developing into a tropical depression by Friday morning. Residents and visitors to the Lesser Antilles Islands should anticipate heavy rains and strong winds from 99L beginning to affect the islands as early as Friday morning. The long-range fate of 99L next week is uncertain, but a track west to west-northwest through the Caribbean is the most popular solution from the models.

To get to Makalawena Beach, you have two options.

- The easiest is to drive to Kekaha Kai Beach and from there to walk North and approach Makalawena Beach from the South. Start out on Highway 19 and turn towards the ocean between mile markers 90 and 91. You will see a sign for Kekaha Kai Sate Park. This road is mostly unpaved, but just about any car can handle it. Just take your time. It will take you about 5 minutes to drive to the end of this road where you'll likely see other cars parked on either side. Find a spot and unload your stuff. Remember that you'll be carrying everything for 20-30 minutes, so pack accordingly.
From this parking area, you'll walk North, through a gate and along the path towards the trees that you'll see a couple hundred yards ahead and on your left. These trees form the back of Kekaha Kai Beach. But you're not going there today. Today you're resisting the urge to simply stop at this perfectly beautiful spot for the greater reward of the isolation and pristine beauty of Makalawena.
The path will take you to the North end of Kekaha Kai Beach where you'll continue on the path, through the lava field for about another 20 minutes until you get to the sand dunes. Don't worry, it's not a mirage, you've arrived. At this point just head towards the ocean.

- The second way to get to Makalawena Beach is to drive there. This drive requires a real 4 Wheel Drive vehicle (one with some decent clearance) as well as some skill at handling very uneven terrain. If you decide for this route, you'll turn off of Highway 19 almost exactly half way between mile markers 88 and 89. The beginning of this road is not very easy to spot. It's a little less than 1/4 mile south of the paved road that takes you to Kua Bay and it's really the only other road between these two mile markers.
The first bit of driving is not so bad and you'll think that I was over reacting when I told you here that it is nasty. When following this road, always stay to your left when you have an option and you'll end up going the right way. As you leave the lava rock, you'll feel like you could be in the middle of Africa on Safari. Keep driving until you get to the ocean where you'll follow the "road" (I use that term loosely here) along the rocky beach. Eventually, you'll drive across a strip of black lava rock mixed with while coral where you'll probably see other vehicles parked. There is a gate at the end of this road, which is as far as you can drive. Make sure to park somewhere where you won't be in the way of other cars coming or going.
Now you'll still have to walk a few minutes through the gate and along the North most inlet of Makalawena. There are plenty of great places to spend the day right in this first area you come to. And this first inlet has the most shady spots. The swimming is the best in the second (middle) inlet. To get there, just keep walking around the first inlet 'till you come around the corner to where the sand becomes super fine and abundant.

Before you decide on which way you'll get to Makalawena Beach, know that it takes about the same amount of time either way. Walking in from the South is less risky, especially if you're not confident in your 4 Wheeling abilities. The nasty drive is a unique adventure, but I'd generally recommend walking in from the south.
