We are a group of 6 friends. We hired a 7-day package with a safari company (*BIG FIVE SAFARIS*) from Spain, advised by the staff of the Arusha BackPapers Hostel (dirty hostel, dirty sheets... I thought I would sleep standing up)
We closed a fixed price with the commercial (we have a record of everything on WhatsApp) and our surprise was that the commercial received us in Arusha and when we went to pay him, he wanted us to give him everything in advance and asked us for 200 euros more than what was agreed per person + 10 euros per person and day tip per driver, another 10 p guide and another 10 p cook.
We refuse, and the boss comes. After many discussions we agreed on 100 euros more per person with tips included.
1. They change our SUV, they put us in an old one, the windows don't close, no air conditioning, the refrigerator doesn't work.
2.Broken tents (one was flooded one night when it rained and we had to reorganize in the remaining two) Dirty and torn bags and a thin and dirty mattress. (THE SALESMAN HAD SENT US PHOTOS OF STORES WITH HIGH INFLATABLE MATTRESSES, WITH SHEETS...)
3. They ration our food. For example, only 1 slice of bread per day for breakfast. They didn't give us napkins, we ran out of powdered milk and we had to ask those in another group because they didn't give us more.
4. On the 4th day the tent erectors did not come and they forced us to help set them up.
5. We asked for another mattress to make it softer and we didn't get it.
6. On the last day, we had agreed on three things to visit and on the third, the boss (Always on the phone through the guide, he did not show his face at any time) said that they would not take us, that we should go on our own.
7. The boss did not give them the agreed tip and we decided to give it to them, after all, the driver, the guide and the cook were errands who did their job well. They were not to blame for everything that was happening to us.
I REPEAT, NEVER IN THE TRIPS WE HAVE TAKEN, AND WE HAVE TAKEN A FEW, HAVE WE HAD TO DEAL WITH PEOPLE AS DISHONEST AND INFORMAL LIKE THE SALESMAN AND BOSS OF THIS COMPANY.
I am trying to report the situation we have experienced, from Spain, I don't know if anyone could help me.

Turkey, a country that straddles two continents, offers a tapestry of experiences that blend the ancient with the modern, the mundane with the mystical. At the heart of this cultural confluence lies Cappadocia, a region that seems to defy the very laws of nature with its fairy-tale landscapes, making it an essential chapter in the narrative of Turkey's allure.
Cappadocia Tours: A Journey Through Time and Imagination
Embarking on a Cappadocia tour is akin to stepping into a different era, where the whimsical forms of nature meet human history in a dramatic display of coexistence. The region's iconic fairy chimneys, towering rock formations sculpted by erosion, set the stage for an otherworldly adventure. These geological marvels are not just a feast for the eyes but also a testament to human ingenuity, housing ancient cave dwellings and churches that date back to early Christian times.
The allure of Cappadocia extends beyond its natural wonders. The region is also renowned for its rich historical tapestry, weaving stories of civilizations that have thrived in this lunar landscape. From the underground cities of Derinkuyu and Kaymakli, which offered refuge to early Christians, to the open-air museum of Göreme, showcasing the zenith of Byzantine art in the frescoes that adorn its cave churches, Cappadocia is a living museum waiting to be explored.
No Cappadocia tour is complete without the quintessential hot air balloon ride, offering panoramic views of the valley at dawn. Floating gently over the enchanting landscape as the sun casts its first light, painting the skies in hues of orange and pink, is an experience that transcends the ordinary, etching memories that last a lifetime.
Culinary Delights and Cultural Wonders
Cappadocia also offers a culinary journey that complements its visual and historical feast. The region's unique geography contributes to a rich agricultural bounty, reflected in its cuisine. Dishes like the testi kebab, cooked in a clay pot sealed with dough, and the variety of mezes made from fresh local ingredients, offer a taste of Cappadocian tradition that is as authentic as it is delicious.
The cultural fabric of Cappadocia is equally vibrant, with its traditional pottery workshops in Avanos, where the art of pottery has been passed down through generations, and the enchanting Whirling Dervish ceremonies, a spiritual experience that connects one to the mystic Sufi traditions of the past.
Embracing the Magic of Cappadocia
A journey through Cappadocia is more than just a tour; it's an immersion into a world where nature and culture dance in harmony. Whether it's marveling at the natural wonders, delving into the depths of history, or simply basking in the tranquility of this magical land, Cappadocia offers an escape that resonates with the soul.
Obligations: Situations within the airline's control. Obligations: Situations outside the airline's control. Y en ese caso las condiciones cambian:
Quote::
Refunds
There is no refund requirement for flight delays or cancellations outside the airline's control. If an airline's tariff allows passengers to seek a full or partial refund, the airline must provide this refund.
Quote::
Why did the CTA talk about vouchers when US and EU regulators have said that airlines should give refunds?
The American and European legislative frameworks set a minimum obligation for airlines to issue refunds when flights are cancelled for reasons outside their control. Canada's doesn't. That's the reason for the difference in the statements.
Quote::
Do I have to accept a voucher if I think I'm owed a refund?
The Statement on Vouchers suggests what could be an appropriate approach in extraordinary circumstances, but doesn't affect airlines' obligations or passengers' rights.
Some airline tariffs might not provide for a refund and others might include force majeure exceptions to refund provisions.
If you think that you're entitled to a refund for a flight that was cancelled for reasons related to the COVID-19 pandemic and you don't want to accept a voucher, you can ask the airline for a refund.
Sometimes, the airline may offer a voucher that can be converted to a refund if the voucher hasn't been used by the end of its validity period. This practice reflects the liquidity challenges airlines are facing as a result of the collapse of air travel while giving passengers added protection in the event that they ultimately can't take advantage of the voucher.
If you think you are entitled to a refund and the airline refuses to provide one or offers a voucher with conditions you don't want to accept, you can file a complaint with the CTA, which will determine if the airline complied with the terms of its tariff. Each case will be decided on its merits.

...duration of time as the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The Annapurna base camp trek is one of the most popular treks in the world. It actually brings you face to face with an eight thousander for a moderate-difficult trek, this is incredible! The captivating Annapurna massif includes the world’s tenth highest peak. Annapurna I (8,091 m) holds an almost fatal enchantment for mountaineers.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek is the combination of easy walking trail along the various landscape, forests, water resources, villages and mountains. After an exploration day in Kathmandu, fly alongside the Himalayan Range to the lake town of Pokhara below the Annapurnas. Spend an afternoon exploring the town and strolling along the lake shore. The trail takes trekkers to the base camp of tenth tallest mountain of the world Mt. Annapurna (8091 m). The serenity and tranquility along the woods and multiethnic villages affords quintessential second of journey for the duration of this course. It has the highest fatality ratio amongst the eight thousanders. The trail can be satisfactory described as the most staggering walking detour which can be completed with minimal bodily exhaustion and most elation. This Annapurna Base Camp Trek presents a comprehensive exploration of the most hanging area in the 50 km Annapurna Range. A short power leads to the begin of the trek at Nayapul. The trail, via oak, rhododendron and bamboo forests, step by step ascends the glacial Modi Khola Valley which carries soften water from the circle of peaks above. Friendly villages on terraced slopes high above the river will welcome you.
This trekking package is designed to aid acclimatization with reasonable daily altitude increases. Setting of Annapurna Base Camp at 4130 m is unique and fairly spectacular, set amidst the majestic peaks of Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Machapuchhre (6993 m) and Hiunchuli (6441 m). Annapurna Base Camp (4130 m) along with the Machhapuchhre Base Camp is the ultimate destination for the trekkers in which the panoramic view of mountains never fail to dazzle. This route, basically inaccessible to vehicles, winds thru prayer-flag strewn hamlets dotted round the lush valley of the fast-flowing Modi Khola River. It’s ignored with the aid of the domineering peaks of Annapurna (8091m) and Machhapuchchhre (6993m), meaning “Fishtail” for its distinct summit. The paths undulate nearly always apparently massive and limitless steps carved into the earth.

Thank you so much for contacting us here at Aswan Individual. We would be honored to help arrange some sight seeing of Upper Egypt (Luxor and Aswan) for you between January 20th and January 23rd. We can definitely arrange a Spanish guide for you.
Here is a preliminary itinerary (please see attached as well)
Jan 20th -
West Bank Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride – We can offer an early morning hot air balloon flight over the Valley of the Kings while watching the sun emerge. When you arrive, you will find your balloons being blown up and glowing in the darkness. From up in the sky you will have a birds’ eye view of the Valley, The Nile River, farmlands and the town of Luxor. The actual flying time is approximately 45 minutes. This pricing on this tour is $80usd per person and includes early morning hotel pick up in a van run by the balloon company.
Full Day East and West Bank Luxor Tour – Enjoy a full day visiting the most famous sites in Luxor on both sides of the River Nile. On the East Bank you will visit the famous Karnak and Luxor temples and on the West Bank you will visit The Valley of the Kings and Queens, Hatshepsut and Colossi of Memnon. This is the best way to see Luxor’s “greatest hits” if you only have a short period of time. This tour includes a driver, late model air-conditioned vehicle and an Egyptologist guide. Entrance fees to the various sites are extra and the fees can be found in the column of your itinerary marked “additional information”.
Jan 21st -
Luxor to Aswan with stops in Edfu and Kom Ombo temples from hotel – Today you will embark on a journey from Luxor to Aswan. We will begin by picking you up in the lobby of your hotel in Luxor. You will then start the eight hour journey (including two temples stops for one hour each) thru the countryside and towns along the way. The tour includes a safe and reliable driver in a late model air-conditioned vehicle. Entrance fees to the temples are not included but are shown on your itinerary attached in the column labelled “Additional Information”.
The guide (as shown on your itinerary) is optional and can be easily removed if you prefer to go without. The fee to add a guide is $35usd. The guide will join you on your long days’ journey to Kom Ombo and Edfu. Along the way you will have plenty of time to talk about the Egyptian culture, history and the two wonderful temples on your journey. When in Kom Ombo, be certain to check out the famous mummified crocodiles.
Jan 22nd -
Abu Simbel round trip from hotel – Today’s adventure will take you to the grand temples of Abu Simbel. We will begin by picking you up in the lobby of your East Bank Hotel or East Bank Ferry (for hotels on Elephantine Island). Start times can be set anywhere between 4:30am to 8am depending on your preference. Some clients prefer an early start to try and “beat” the crowds and the heat. Other clients prefer a leisurely breakfast in their hotel before heading out for the day. When setting you preferred start time please take into consideration the fact that there are no decent eating establishments in the area – therefore if you choose an early start – we suggest asking your hotel the...
Alguien me pregunta podría decir ??
Gracias !!
"For those looking for a transfer from MCIA Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 and vice versa, another set of shuttles are available, bringing passengers between the terminals every 10 minutes"
I had problems finding people with the same itinerary, so I've posted mine. Hope it helps people planning to travel this route, a little of the desert, a little beach, and a little touristy destinations.
Period: 15 - 28 Nov
People: 3 guys
Style: Backpacking
Guidebooks: Rough Guide + Lonely Planet
Special note: Pls bring pens. Lots of them, especially ones you get for free. There will be Egyptians who will ask for pens instead of money as tips. This is because these people want good quality "foreign" pens for their children to write with in school. I find this very noble, and regretted not bringing more to Egypt.
Day 1: Arrive Cairo 5.30am. Took a airport bus, then public bus [1LE] to downtown Cairo. Managed to make our way to somehow to Turgoman Station [Cairo Gateway]. We got tickets (direct) to Siwa for 65LE/p. Bus leaves 7+pm. Pretty decent bus.
Day 2: Reach Siwa at 5am. It was the Eid al-Adha, so everywhere was booked out. We had to wait to 12pm for people to check out before we got a place anywhere.
Hotels: Shali and Albabenshal Lodge is extremely pretty. The roof of Albabenshal is a place to take photos of the town just before the sunrise.
We didn't stay in Yousef, but its owner Yousef was very friendly.
We stayed in El Kelany. Decent place for about 100+ LE for 3 people.
Food: Abdu restaurant has a convenient location, and serves pretty decent food.
Nour El Waha - Fantastic laidback ambience and great food for reasonable price! Come at night, when you can smoke Shisha, have dinner, and chat up fellow travellers around a bonfire.
Restaurant right in front of Albabenshal: I don't remember the name, but this restaurant serves great roasted chicken at night + camel kebab.
Activities: The standard fare includes dune driving (our driver did some "stunt" driving up and down steep dunes!), going to hot (scam) and cold (beautiful) spring, fossil site (full of ugly broken shells), and finally to watch the sunset. For the adventurous, remember to try out sandboarding!
Day 4: We booked a private 4WD for 3 people for 1300LE per vehicle at Siwa Friends/Tourist Association [check rough guides for address]. Most places will charge you 1500LE. You will need to book one day in advance as military permits (pay separately) are needed. Bring lunch along as there are no restaurants along the desert highway.
The desert view is simply stunning, and we passed by a chasis of a (german) fighter place supposedly from WWII in the middle of the desert.
Day 4 late noon (Bahariya Desert): We reach Desert Safari Home in the early evening after about 8 hours in the car. It's a pretty and clean place, relatively cheap if you book through hostelworld.com. It is run by a father and his son. The son is a jolly young chap, extremely friendly and helpful. His father, however, is a different story. He would not hesitate to conveniently round up/add in any cost not clarified beforehand, and gets impatient if you ask too many questions and show that you are on a tight budget. However, if you are very clear all prices agreed upfront, then it shouldn't be any problem.
Food: It is hard to find food anywhere. You can check LP or RG, but easiest and reasonably cheap option is to dine at...

Quote::
ATOL protection doesn't apply if you buy your flights directly from your airline.

I am due to fly back on or after 16 October 2017
If your scheduled return is after this date, you will not automatically have your flight rebooked unless your trip is ATOL protected.
If you are not ATOL protected and you are due to travel to the UK on or after 16 October 2017, you will need to make your own arrangements to return to the UK. For advice on whether you can make a claim for a refund, please contact your card issuer, Paypal or insurer. If you are unsure whether you have ATOL protection, please check the documents issued to you to establish whether you received an ATOL Certificate. This will set out details of your ATOL protection.

Young Visitor discount
If you're visiting London and travelling with children aged 11 to 15 who haven't got a Zip Oyster photocard, you can still benefit from reduced rate travel for them. You can get a discount set on an Oyster or Visitor Oyster card that will allow them to pay as you go at half adult-rate for up to 14 days.
This discount is called the Young Visitor discount and can be set by a member of staff at:
•Any Tube station
•TfL Rail station ticket offices
•Visitor Centres (except Gatwick Airport South Terminal)
•Victoria National Rail station ticket office
You and your child must be together when asking for the Young Visitor discount to be set.
You don't need proof of age or identity, but you might be asked to confirm the child's age. One adult can get the Young Visitor discount set for up to four children.
The Young Visitor discount gives the following for up to 14 days:
•Half adult-rate pay as you go fares and daily caps on bus, Tube, tram, DLR, London Overground, TfL Rail and most National Rail services
•Half adult-rate on Emirates Air Line and Thames Clipper River Bus services
It doesn't allow free travel and discounted Travelcard and Bus & Tram Pass season tickets can't be added. After 14 days the discount expires and the Oyster card reverts to charging adult-rate fares.
. You can get a discount set on an Oyster or Visitor Oyster card that will allow them to pay as you go at half adult-rate for up to 14 days.
