He recibido hoy un mensaje de Finnair. Parece que han publicado su planificación de viajes para el verano en base a que hay países que tienen previsto aligerar las medidas de confinamiento. Van a operar 40 destinos en julio, incluidos 9 destinos de largo recorrido a Asia.

Nabucco Island is in the Maratua atoll, not on the U shaped Maratua Island, but inside the turquoise lagoon, well protected from the open sea. Nabucco is a private island with beautiful views of the turquoise Maratua lagoon, intact nature on the island incl. monitor lizards, flying foxes, kingfishers, coconut crabs, mud skippers etc. And a cat Blue spotted stingrays, moray eels, various types of colourful reef fish and mantis shrimps etc. can already be seen from the restaurant terrace. Varied food prepared as fresh as possible and friendly staff let you enjoy your holiday. Snorkeling, volleyball, cooking, massage, exploring the sandbanks at low tide is also possible, and maybe a visit to a local village on Maratua island? Perfect for relaxation and discoveries and of course great diving/ snorkeling!
Our popular seafront bungalows have direct access to the sea (at high tide, and to the beach at low tide). Please find a photo attached as well as the rates on the price list.
We also have discounted garden bungalows, set back into the garden.

All rooms are equipped with own bathroom with Western toilet and cold/warm shower, mosquito net over the bed, air condition and ceiling fan, a minibar and desk, as well as a terrace with sunbeds.
In August, we are already fully booked 14-21 August, but we still have seafront and garden rooms available before and after. For some dates there is only 1-2 rooms left, so we recommend not to wait too long if you are interested to guarantee availability.
Regarding transfers:
Since autumn it is a lot easier to reach Nabucco. You can now fly Balikpapan-Maratua directly!
This flight is operated on Saturdays by Garuda Airlines. 30kg luggage allowance are included.

We would pick you up at Maratua Airport, from where Nabucco is only a short car ride and about 10mins boat ride away. As this is our Extra Divers charter flight, it is not listed online and can only be booked via us.
So as you read already, arrival and departure on Saturday is easiest.
Our shuttle boat for arrival on Wednesday from Berau and departure on Tuesday to Berau is also still available in case you prefer to stay 10 nights for example.

In case you are interested, we can also arrange a stay at Samboja for you. This lodge is around 60mins from Balikpapan airport and they do a fantastic job rescuing orangutans and sunbears and preparing them for their release into the wild again. A car ride both ways would be 60 EUR. They have different accommodation: standard room (cold water only), Queen suite (larger and warm water), King Suite (up on treetop level, large bathroom, four poster bed, own balcony etc). Queen double is 95 EUR per person per night, for example. All rooms have AC and include full board as well as a guided walk to the sunbear sanctuary and orangutan “islands”. Additional tours such as boat trip to look for proboscis (nose) monkeys, or canopy hanging bridge walk etc can be booked on spot.
