Consultas generales para viajar a Kenia, dudas sobre itinerarios y Safaris por Masai Mara, Amboseli, Lago Nakuru, Aberdares, Tsavo, Naivasha, Samburu, subida al Monte Kenia, isla de Lamu, ver Nairobi, Mombasa, Malindi, lago Victoria, lago Turkana...

Una última duda, una de las agencias me ofrece en 4 noches que está en Masai Mara hacer 3 hoteles (2 Tented Camp y un Lodge) diferentes. ¿Os parece excesivo? Me dice que así veré 3 zonas diferentes de Masai Mara.
Los otros me ofrecen 3 noches en un sitio y 1 noche en otro.
No se que hacer....
Lo de la playa me parece buena idea, no es muy buena epoca Agosto.
Lo de cambiar de alojamiento cada día, por un lado esta bien, pero a mi me da pereza moverlo todo sin excesiva necesidad. Si acaso dos noches y dos noches podria estar bien, si los alojamientos están en dos zonas diferentes.
Bueno ya está cerrado, al final no iremos a playas como comenté anteriormente y haremos 3 alojamientos en Masai Mara (4 noches) para ver 3 zonas diferentes!
Que ganas de que llegue el verano y poder ir allí!!!

Ya veras como lo disfrutas.
Una cosa, intenta aprovechar siempre que puedas, las mañanas para hacer un safari mañanero... Es cuando se ven más animales.
El día de vuelta a Nairobi, lo mismo: si te da tiempo, un safari y luego carretera y manta. Ya descansarás en casa.
El cansancio se olvida pronto, pero las imágenes que te traigas de esos safaris, perduraran mucho tiempo en tu mente.
Gracias spainsun! Lo tendré en cuenta, nos han dicho que tenemos flexibilidad para hacer los safaris como queramos y como tu dices, ya descansaré en casa. De hecho a la vuelta llego a Estambul a las 15:30 o así y no tengo vuelto hasta el día siguiente y como me han dicho en Turkish que me incluyen hotel si está lejos del centro descansaremos ahí y sino haremos un último esfuerzo y llegaremos muertos jajaja
En Semana Santa nos pasa algo parecido en Estambul, pero en esa ocasión no nos ponen noche porque hay un vuelo anterior (en el cual no quedaban plazas) y pasaremos un día entero disfrutando de Estambul y viendo alguna que otra cosa que nos quedó pendiente hace un par de años.
Davidps83, pues al final nos vamos con Masikio como tu!!! No era la oferta más económica, pero se esforzaron en mejorarnos la calidad de algunos hoteles sin subirnos el precio y mi marido es un poco segurola y prefería contratarlo con alguien con el que pudiese él comunicarse con facilidad. Así que al final decidimos pagar unos cuantos dolares más para que él se quede tranquilo.
Para Mayo que zona considereais mejor para hacer Safari?? Kenia o Tanzania??
El caso es que tenemos vistos unos vuelos muy buenos que llegan y salen de Nairobi por lo que lo mas logico seria hacer el safari en Kenia, pero la duda es si por ser Mayo vale más la pensa cruzar a Tanzania.

El caso es que tenemos vistos unos vuelos muy buenos que llegan y salen de Nairobi por lo que lo mas logico seria hacer el safari en Kenia, pero la duda es si por ser Mayo vale más la pensa cruzar a Tanzania.
La gran migración solo afecta al ecosistema masai mara- serengeti porque los demás parques no tienen nada que ver en la decisión que tomes.
Creo que en meses como Abril o Mayo no es tan interesante ver la migración como en Enero y Febrero en el Serengeti donde nace la vida en el Sur o en verano en kenya porque está más dispersa por dentro del Serengeti.. Yo si tuviera vuelos por Kenya y mejor precio sin duda haría Kenya, lo único que tanto en Kenya como en Tanzania te puede llover más que en otras épocas.
Aunq también he leído que puede ser un gustazo hacer safaris sin tanta gente como hay otros meses.

7 no cabeis en un jeep... Tendrian que ser en dos.
El matatu es menos ágil, pero es lo suficientemente agil para moverse casi por los mismos sitios. No tiene que ser mas incomodo. Puede ser mas comodo, porque es mas espacioso.
Si vais 4 en un jeep, uno va atrás en medio y las cosas suelen suceder en un lateral, con lo que el tercero no tiene por donde ver...
En un matatu si van dos personas por fila, pueden moverse mejor y ven a lado y lado.

Quería comentaros que finalmente somos 8 Personas para hacer el safari por kenia y Tanzania.
Queremos ir todos juntos en un vehículo.
En kenia nos ofrecen un minivan 4*4 y en Tanzania un llandrover o landcruiser extendido.
En Tanzania es donde hay mas problemas en ir en un sólo vehículo ya que algunas agencias nos ofrecen 2 coches 4*4.
Alguien ha ido 8 personas en este tipo de vehículos o los ha visto? Es factible?
Si vamos en dos vamos mas anchos pero la gracia es disfrutar todos juntos del safari y mas cuando hay tanto coche...
Por otro lado si pinchamos o se estropea el motor o lo que sea, al ir dos coches es más probable que pase algo y tengamos q esperar uno al otro...
Laura piensa también en las maletas que aunq entrais los 8 más en guia en el matatu teneis q meter 8 maletas o más y las mochilas que lleveis para el viaje con alguna chaqueta para cuando refresca por la mañana y la camara y todo eso
¿qué os parece este itinerario que me ha ofrecido una agencia local?. Agradecería cualquier comentario!

Day 5: 13th August 2014 : Lake Bogoria- Nakuru

Known for its big five excluding the Elephants, this is the only park

Para mi gusto demasiados lagos, y os falta Samburu y más tiempo en Masai Mara. Yo para el tiempo que vais me limitaría a Samburu y Mara, y vería algún lago de camino en todo caso, pero eso también va en gustos.
