Hola!
Supongo que sabes el tema de las regiones en USA no?
Nosotros cuando fuimos compramos bastante pero DVD porque tenemos uno que nos lee de todo pero el reproductor blu ray no.
Compramos casi todo en una tienda que se llama Book Off USA, en la 45 con la 6th. Había cosas muy baratas, yo me compre 4 temporadas de Weeds por 5 dólares cada una. Es de segunda mano la tienda.
También hay unas tiendas muy parecidas aquí al FNAC, que se llaman Barnes and Noble, tienen libros, cine, música... Eso sí carillas , hay varias por NY, a mí la que me gusto fue la de Union Square.
Luego si eres friki en plan cine raro, terror y así, hay una tienda bastante conocida que se llama Forbidden Planet, muy cerca de Union Square, que es sobre todo conocida por los cómics y figuras, pero también tiene de esas pelis que no se encuentran en cualquier sitio. Exactamente esta en Broadway con la 12.

Para quien le gusten los juegos de mesa y cartas como Magic, he visto una tienda muy chula en la calle 33, cerca del Empire.
