Please see the information below in regard to your upcoming visit to the Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island:
Please be advised of two changes to the National Park Service operation that will affect your visit.
Visitors will not have access to Ellis Island. The National Park Service will announce the reopening date of Ellis Island in the future. While crews are working feverishly to complete renovations to the Ellis Island Immigration Museum, the museum will not be ready in time for your upcoming visit.
The Security Screening Facility has been moved from Ellis Island to both of the Battery Park and Liberty State Park departure locations. The time of your ticket is now your security entrance time, not the boat departure time. After passing through security, you will board the next available boat for your trip over to Liberty Island.
The Statue of Liberty and Liberty Island will be open and accessible as of July 4th, 2013. We recommend arriving early to give yourself plenty of time to pick up tickets and enter the Security Screening Facility.

Yo por lo que entiendo es que si por ejemplo reservas a las 8 de la mañana, a esa hora debes estar en Battery Park por ejemplo para pasar la Seguridad y luego ya de ahí se coge el barco que tengas disponible, porque realmente el primer barco que parte de Battery Park lo hace a las 8:30 horas.
Por cierto ahora mismo n o me dejareservar, pone que el servicio esta temporalmente no disponible.

Eso es a las 8 de la mañana es cuando tienes que estar listo para pasar el control de seguridad, luego ya pillarás el primer barco disponible que salga hacia la isla. Antes de las 8 de la mañana ya tendrías que haber pasado por el castillo con la tarjeta que hiciste el pago + dni o pasaporte para retirar tus billetes.

Es mejor que compres la entradas por internet. Si no preparate para guardar 3-4 horas de cola. También tienes la opción de coger el ferry gratuito que aunque no te lleva a la isla de la estatua pasa relativamente cerca y podrás hecharle algunas fotos. Un saludo.

Yo estuve en 2009, y no las llevaba compradas, eso si, fui muy pronto.. Porque suele haber bastante cola....

Yo fui con entradas el primer día que habria desde el huracan sandy. Y la verdad que tarde algo mas de una hora desde que llegue, hasta que estaba en la isla. Así que si vas sin entradas me imagino que sera bastante mas

Yo estaba pensando en comprar la city pass pero veo que no incluye el acceso a la corona de la Estatua de la Libertad. Solo incluye el acceso a monumento? si compro la entrada para subir a la corona en su página tb estaría el ferry incluido?Quien me pueden ayudar?

Lorena, también incluye la visita a la Ellis Island, que es donde está le museo, pero ahora mismo creo que sigue en reconstrucción y no se puede visitar.
No se cuando lo abriran...espero que para noviembre ya lo tengan listo U:U
Yo estoy dudando de ir a la estatua de la libertad... Me han comentado que no merece la pena, que el ferry de staten island es mejor o igual, que las vistas son iguales o parecidas.
Que opinais vosotros?

Nosotros no pudimos subir a la estatua pero la verdad es que las fotos desde el ferri pueden mostrar toda su grandeza. Solo tienes que tener en cuenta cuando subas al ferry situarte al lado derecho. Así la veras durante todo el viaje. Y al volver cambias de lado.
