Of all the places I’ve visited so far, I would dare to say that India is one of those that can truly change your perspective. For better or worse, either you fall in love with it, or it’s not for you, because India is a chaotic and vibrant place, full of intense colors and deep contrasts that can captivate or confuse those who visit its streets and temples. For us, India has been much more than that; it turned out to be an incredible experience, not only because of what the country itself offers tourists, but also because one of the things you don’t see in YouTube videos is the genuine warmth of its people. People who, when you see them, so similar to us and at the same time so different, initially convey a sense of seriousness or anger that melts away into a beautiful and kind smile with just the words “Namaste,” as well as the explosion of sensations that your senses can capture at every corner.

For those who love adventure and enjoy backpacking on their own, India has all the ingredients to fill you with stories to share with friends on a Saturday afternoon or evening. But we have to be realistic, and it’s not that I don’t like that type of travel, but if you have limited time, in my case 15 days, and want to visit the main cities of Rajasthan, you need to have everything well organized to make sure you can achieve it.

In our case, we did a lot of research, both to do it on our own and through an agency, and during that search, we found the website of Mahendra (the father) and Shyam (the son), a small local agency that specializes in Spanish-speaking travelers, and even better, they serve you in Spanish. For us, this agency was the best solution, and not just for us; we met two other groups during the trip who were also with Mahendra and Shyam, and their experience was very similar to ours.

Requirements from Mahendra and Shyam: having your plane tickets purchased and a copy of your passport. The payments for the trip are made in two phases: the first half as soon as you arrive in India and they pick you up at the airport, and the second half when there are 3 or 4 days left before the end of the trip.

The entire trip was a truly enriching experience. In other trips we’ve taken, we’ve encountered agencies that book you some good hotels and others that you don’t know how to handle, but in the case of Mahendra and Shyam, all the hotels were perfect, beautiful, and clean.

Kayaköy is a village in the northwestern part of the Ölüdeniz Nature Park.
To come to Kayaköy, you must first arrive in the Fethiye district of Muğla.
Fethiye is a wonderful place to see and spend time in. Minibuses leaving from Ölüdeniz Hisarönü may take you to Kayaköy. It takes roughly 8 minutes by car, driving 4.5 kilometres from Hisarönü. Kayaköy is not on the coast, but there are beautiful coves within 15 minutes of reach. You must pass through the eating area next to the box office to get to Kayaköy. During summer, you can visit Kayaköy each day of the week between 09:00 and 20:00.

in Kayaköy, world-wide famous Australian actor Russell Crowe filmed the last sequences of the film The Water Diviner (Last Hope), in which he co-starred alongside Cem Yılmaz and Yılmaz Erdoğan. The film crew began filming around the old church in Kayaköy. People residing there had a chance to act as extras in this great film. It portrayed the tale of a man who lost his children in the Battle of Çanakkale and returned to Türkiye in search of them. Horses and carriages found in the village for filming were also used by foreign actors who took part in the film.

Laos: Authorities continue to enforce restrictions as of May 2 due to COVID-19 /update 46
Laos continues to enact COVID-19 measures as of May 2. International travel rules are in effect.
Health Entry/Exit Transportation LAO
Event
Authorities continue to enforce varying restrictions as of May 2 due to COVID-19.

Domestic Measures
Public facilities, such as shopping malls, retail establishments, supermarkets, and sporting facilities, can operate with restrictions, like opening hour limits. Some educational institutions operate on site with health protocols, like ensuring that students do not share meals. People must wear facemasks and observe social distancing rules when in public, though the enforcement level varies across the country.

Local officials in some areas may implement stricter curbs, including suspending or requiring organizers of gatherings to obtain approval.

International Travel Restrictions
Tourist visas, visas on arrival, and standing visa exemptions from most international locations remain suspended. State and private entities may apply for entry approval for foreign essential workers, technical experts, and investors. The required documents for essential workers or technical experts include a letter of request and proof of the entity's tax payment and foreign worker employment quota permission, among others. The government also requires entities bringing in investors to submit an approval document from the immigration department and a letter of request from the relevant state agencies.

People who can enter Laos must present a vaccination certificate, provide a negative result from a PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure, register via the Green Pass online portal, and download the LaoKYC application; if applicable, foreign nationals must also provide a valid entry visa. Travelers must undergo a COVID-19 test and quarantine at a designated facility for 48 hours upon arrival. Passengers can depart the quarantine premises only after obtaining a negative result from the on-arrival test.

An Indonesian twin-turboprop aircraft carrying 54 people lost contact with air traffic control on Sunday in the remote, forested eastern Papua region, the National Search and Rescue Agency (BASARNAS) said, with search efforts hampered by failing light as night falls.

"We can't confirm it has crashed. We can say contact has been lost with the plane," BASARNAS chief Bambang Soelystyo told Reuters by phone.

"It's a Trigana airline plane carrying 54 people including 5 crew. We are working to get more details."

According to the official BASARNAS Twitter account, the aircraft, a short-haul ATR 42-300 airliner belonging to Trigana Air Service and built in France and Italy, was carrying 44 adult passengers, five crew and five children and infants.

The plane was flying between Jayapura's Sentani Airport and Oksibil, due south of Jayapura, the capital of Papua province.

The agency's Jayapura office was coordinating the search, a separate tweet read as dusk set in the tropics.

Nepal's authorities have ruled out finding more survivors of last week's earthquake under the rubble, as the death toll rises to 6,621.
"We are trying our best in rescue and relief work but now I don't think that there is any possibility of survivors," Home Ministry spokesman Laxmi Prasad Dhakal told AFP.
Nepal said 14,021 people were injured in the 7.9 magnitude quake on Saturday.
The fate of thousands of people in remote areas remains unknown.
The death toll could go up, as search and rescue efforts are still continuing in several hill districts including Dhading, Rasuwa and Sindhupalchok, relief co-ordinator Hemanta Pal said.
While the vast majority of casualties were in Nepal, about 100 people are reported to have died in neighbouring India, Tibet, and Bangladesh.
The EU envoy to Nepal, Rensje Teerink, said on Friday that the whereabouts of 1,000 EU citizens was still unknown.

Landslides and poor weather have hampered efforts to deliver aid to isolated districts, and there are only about 20 helicopters available for the rescue and relief operations.
The country's Information Minister, Minendra Rijal told the Associated Press news agency that Nepal needed 400,000 tents but so far had only been able to hand out 29,000.
Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat said the country needed better food aid. "We have received things like tuna fish and mayonnaise. What good are those things for us? We need grains, salt and sugar," Mr Mahat told AP.
