Hola, como ya he comentado quiero realizar un safari en Junio de 2014 como viaje de novios.

Mi idea es alquilarme un coche e ir por libre. Me gusta mucho conducir (Aqui en españa pertenezco a un club de automobiles) y la aventura. Paso a detallaros mi pequeño safari a ver si lo veis viable.

16.06: Vuelo hacia Nairobi.
17.07 Llego a nairobi a las 6:25 cojo el coche y pongo rumbo Samburu. Safari por la tarde??. Noche en Samburu.
18.06 Safari todo el día. Noche en Samburu
19.09 Rumbo a lago Nakuru. Safari tarde. Noche en Nakuru
20.06 Rumbo a Masai Mara. Visitas y actividades sin coste. Noche en Mara
21.06 Safari todo el día. Noche en Mara.
22.06 Safari mañana si queda algo por ver. Rumbo a Nairobi para dejar el coche.

Como veis las palizas en coche.

Me aconsejais hablar cpn algun nativo que nos haga de guia. Cuanto puede costar? Conoceis a alguien?

A mi me parece bien la ruta. Son kilómetros, pero es asumible. A la ida o vuelta de Samburu, puedes para en las Thomson Falls y en algun mirador para apreciar las vistas sobre el valle del Rift.


Lo del guia es aconsejable para no perder el tiempo. Ellos suelen saber donde buscar los animales y se suelen mantener en contacto para pasarse información.

También están las normas de los parques, que tu probablemente no conozcas.

Conoceis algun guia local que se lo monte el solo?

Habría que pagarle toda la estancia al guia durante el safari o se alojan en campamentos gratuitos para ellos.

¿qué os parece este itinerario que me ha ofrecido una agencia local?. Agradecería cualquier comentario!
Llevo un mes pidiendo presupuestos a diferentes agencias locales y no me decido!. Cualquier consejo será bienvenido!

Day 1: 9th August 2014 : Nairobi-Amboseli.
Depart from Nairobi in the morning and drive South-wards to Namanga
Which is the Kenya-Tanzania border arriving in Amboseli for lunch
Followed by game-drive until 6.30 pm Dinner and overnight at the
Campsite.

Day 2: 10th August 2014 : Amboseli
Have your breakfast then proceed for a full day of game viewing in the
Park. Amboseli National Park is located at the foot of Mt.
Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain. The snows of the mountain form
A majestic backdrop to one of Kenya's most popular spectacular
Displays of wildlife - lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah,
Buffalo and host of plains game, creating Kenya's most sought after
Photographer's paradise. The park used to be known for its greener
Vegetation which was later damaged by the huge population of huge
Elephants. Meals and overnight at the camp.

Day 3: 11th August 2014 : Amboseli-Lake Naivasha
After breakfasst, depart for Lake Naivasha with your lunch being
Served en route, your arrival in Naivasha will be in the afternoon
Where by you will proceed for the game drive at the hell’s gate, here
You are capable of riding the bicycle amongst the wild animals without
Any harm, boat riding, swimming, bird-watching and the rest as you bid
Bye to the hippos. Dinner and overnight at the a budget hotel.

Day 4: 12th August 2014 : Lake Naivasha- Lake Bogoria
After breakfast, leave Lake Naivasha with lunch en route to Lake
Bogoria, this is a saline, alkaline lake that lies in a volcanic in a
Half-graben basin south of Kenya, the lake had been known in the past
As the jewel of Rift Valley, the most beautiful view in Africa which
Is set in the acacia surroundings of the floor of the great rift
Valley, view the lesser flamingoes which are of the larger population
In this lake. Dinner and overnight at the camp or budget hotel.

Day 5: 13th August 2014 : Lake Bogoria- Nakuru
Have your breakfast followed by the departure for Lake Nakuru with
Game drive en route, you will arrive in Nakuru for lunch in the hotel
As you proceed for the afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru which is
Known for its big five excluding the Elephants, this is the only park
Where you will see both the white and the black flamingoes, the lake
Is as well known as the birds sanctuary, be back to the hotel for
Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: 14th August 2014 : Lake Nakuru- Masai Mara
After breakfast, depart for Masai mara arriving in time for lunch at
The Enchoro Wildlife Camp followed by an afternoon game viewing to see
The many animals that inhabit this unique park, return to camp for
Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: 15th August 2014 : Masai mara
After breakfast, full day spent game viewing a cross the rich,
Tree-studded grassland and rolling hills. The famous mara is renowned
For its great herds of plain game, black-maned lions, leopard and
Cheetah but also contains numerous elephant and virtually every type
Of wildlife to be found in Kenya, have your lunch served at the mara
River which is the scene for annual migration of both the zebras and

Day 8: 16th August 2014 : Masai mara-Nairobi
Proceed for the pre breakfast morning game drive in the park followed

No soy experta en la materia ni he visitado aún Africa, pero a mi criterio con los días que tienes me decidiría por estar más días en Masai Mara y la verdad que no dejaría de ver Samburu porque hay animales que solo verás ahí nada más ( Orix, jirafa reticulada, antílope, cebra de Grevy). Lee mucho en el foro para que veas los criterios de gente que ha visitado Kenia

Yo acabo de llegar practicamente de kenia donde estuve poco mas de una semana y efectivamente creo que para no iniciados en el pais, quiza me decantaria por pasar tres días en Masai Mara y no recorrer tantisimos kilometros. Te aseguro que las distancias se hacen largas, por eso las recomendaciones de las empresas que trabajan sobre el terreno son basicas. De todas formas si tienes alguna duda y puedo ayudar... Ya sabes.

Holaaa!! mi pareja y yo iremos 12 días a kenia en Agosto, y queremos hacer diferentes safaris por nuestra cuenta (Ya en zambia hicimos algunos en un 4x4 con tienda arriba). Me podéis recomendar algún itinerario? Recomendar alguna Agencia para alquilar el 4x4 con tienda arriba? Sabéis que precio tiene por día?

Hola Ambar50, la verdad que no conozco de agencia de ese tipo pero itinerario puedes empezar el recorrido tirando hacia el norte (samburu, Meru, PN de Kenia, etc) y después hacia el oeste (lago bogoria, Aberdares, nakuru,naivasha, etc), más al sur Masai mara, y en cerca a la costa tsavo, amboseli.

Ten presente que al ir por tu cuenta podrás visitar todo lo que quiera a tu ritmo, así que mejor te buscas un mapa y lo puedes hacer a tu forma, espero haberte ayudado en algo un saludo

Muchas Gracias Maiden. Si, lo haremos por nuestra cuenta en el 4x4 con tienda arriba del coche. Lo que no encontramos es lugares para poder acampar con el coche...alguien conoce alguno??? Gracias nuevamente!!!

Dicen que dentro de los parque no se puede pero hay lugares cerca de las entrada de los parques que están habilitadas para esto.
Aquí en el foro hay mucha gente que viaja de esa manera y te podrá decir mejor que yo.

Hola. ¿amboseli merece la pena? vamos en julio a kenia y nos dicen que el kilimanjaro no se vera por la niebla y que para las horas que son desde nairobi, que no es para tanto. Sin embargo, yo leo opiniones fabulosas!
Esteremos 9 días antes de ir a zanzibar. Entramos por nairobi y la idea es: amboseli-nayvasha-nakuru-lago bogoria-masai mara. ¿COMO LO VEIS?

Yo tenía la misma duda. Y en vez de ir a Amboseli fui a Samburu y no me arrepiento, ya que hay animales como la jirafa reticulada (la más bonita en mi opinión) o la cebra de Grevy que solo se ven allí. También vimos muchos elefantes, entre otros muchos animales
Yo hice 2 noches Samburu, 1 Nakuru, 1 Naivasha, y 3 Masai Mara

A mí personalmente llegar a Amboseli me resultó agotador para lo que vi. Del Kilimanjaro no sombra. Si volviera a hacer ese viaje creo que también elegiría Samburu

¿que os parece este planing? vamos del 13 al 18 de agosto. No se si fue buena idea poner los lagos... O deberia ir mas al MM a ver la migración

6 Days Naivasha/Nakuru/Masai mara

Day 1;Nairobi/Naivasha
Pick up from airport and depart to Naivasha with a stopover at the

Day 3;Nakuru/Masai mara
After early breakfast at 7.00am depart to masai mara arriving in
time for lunch.Proceed for evening game drive insearch of black manned
lions, elephants,leopards,cheetah,buffaloes and other plain
game.Dinner and overnight at Mara Lenchada tented camp

Day 4;Masai mara full day
After early breakfast with picnic lunch you spent full day exploring
this unique park which really forms the northern part of the famous
Serengeti National Park.You have the chance to visit Mara river the
boarder of Masai mara and the famouse Serengeti park where there is
concentration of many animals especially the time you will be
travelling.All meals and overnight at the camp.

DAY 5;Masai mara Full day
After breakfast you spend another day to see the animals in the Park
by visiting different areas, with a hope of seeing more of wild
animals and those you might missed on the previous full day.Picnic
lunch inside the park under a tree near the masai mara river.Later
in the evening there is optional visit masai villages.Dinner and
overnight at the camp.

DAY 6;Masai mara /Nairobi
After early morning game drive at 6.30am followed by breakfast
depart to Nairobi with picnic lunch on the way arriving at around 4pm.Drop
off at your hotel.

En mi humilde opinion, haces bastante masai-mara, por lo que estan bien metidos los lagos, por conocer algun sitio más. 6 días dan para bastante. Al final haces dos días completos MM y la tarde de elque llegas y la mañana de el que te vas, medio y medio que suman otro día mas... Creo es bastante...

Muevo tu mensaje al hilo de itinerarios. Con 6 días no puedes hacer mas.
Yo haria;
1 día: Nairobi-Nakuru (viendo Nakuru ese dia) Es un parque pequeño.
2 día: Nakuru-Naivasha-Masai Mara (durmiendo ya en Masai Mara)
Resto de días en Masai Mara.
No dormiría una noche en Naivasha y otra en Nakuru. Lo veo excesivo.
El plato fuerte es Masai Mara.
