Siempre he leido que para Wicked no hay nunca descuentos en TCKTS, etc.. Pero acabo de leer en theatermania que sí que tienen Lottery rush. ¿alguien sabe si es verdad? Gracias!

"Lottery Rush" means you get to the theater about 3 hours before the show starts. There are usually a LOT of other people trying the same thing, even for shows that don't otherwise seem to be doing well. You will need cash, and you will need a photo ID. It will be chaos, everyone will be freaking out. You will put your name on a slip of paper (as will everyone). Once they stop accepting names, the tension is palpable, and you suddenly NEED this tickets. You will KILL to have that usher pull your name out of the bucket, and you will DIE if s/he doesn't.
If you are one of the chosen few, you present your ID, hand over around $30 in cash, and find a quick bite to eat before the show begins. If you are a "loser", don't run away immediately, because they will often sell you a mediocre seat for about $40, and, after the emotional journey of trying to win the lottery, you will probably take it. If you are trying to rush WICKED, you need to get there hella early JUST TO THROW YOUR NAME IN THE HAT. It's crazy.
The key to all of this is research, preparation, and time. Research the policies for the show you want to see. Prepare all the necessary amounts of cash and forms of ID you need. And be willing to wait, to get there early, and to just generally stand outside a Broadway theater at any time other than 7:55 (when the rich people who paid full price get there). And that is just the beginning of how you can get cheap Broadway tickets.

Estoy preparando mi próxima visita a NY para marzo, y claro hay que incluir algún espectáculo de Brodway, como no sabemos mucho inglés estamos pensando entre Wicked y Cinderella, cual nos recomendaríais???

Wicked es uno de los mejores musicales que hay en Broadway, sino el mejor, pero si no controlais ingles, mejor buscar otra cosa. O al menos leeros antes el libro en el que esta basado para no perderos.

Nosotros fuimos a Cinderella y nos encantó, fue un acierto, el musical es precioso y a mi me pareció muy fácil de seguir.

En Broaway.com, 72 $ por persona nos costaron, eso si, en las últimas filas pero se veía bien.

Lo del ingles se que va a ser un problema, pero bueno
Si os leeis el libro podeis seguirlo sin problema aunque vuestro ingles sea mas basico. Si no lo leeis es un poco mas complicado...

Para ver "Wicked" nosotros que no sabemos nada de inglés, miramos en youtube, y había muchas partes del musical subtituladas en castellano, así ya sabíamos de qué iba el argumento.

Wanderlust, ¿sabes si esas ofertas salen con frecuencia? Es que yo no voy hasta la semana del 3 de marzo. Si fuera así, me espero para coger las entradas, porque si merece la pena.

Que se ofrecen a finales de enero principios de febrero, que es la época más "dura" para las ventas (es la broadway week); a través de la misma web también se pueden conseguir ofertas de forma aleatoria en verano e invierno
