Glacier National Park will once again implement a pilot vehicle reservation system in 2025, from June 13 to September 28, 2025, for the west side of Going-to-the-Sun Road and the North Fork. Visitors can begin making advance reservations on February 12, 2025. Reservations will be required from 7 a.m. To 3 p.m. As in previous years, visitors may enter reservation areas without a reservation before or after reservation hours.
New in 2025, the park will be piloting timed entry reservations for the west side of Going-to-the-Sun Road and the North Fork. Visitors will enter the park according to the time block they have reserved and can remain in the park for as long as they like on the day of their reservation. Visitors who miss their reserved time block can enter after 3 p.m. Multiple time blocks will be available between 7 a.m. And 3 p.m. Additional information regarding time blocks will be announced in a separate press release.
“In 2025 we are continuing successful measures from the 2024 season, including access to Apgar Village, Two Medicine, and the East Entrance to Going-to-the-Sun Road outside of the vehicle reservation system. Within that successful framework we are going to try timed entry to see if we can minimize congestion, optimize visitor arrival, and improve visitor experiences,” said Glacier National Park Superintendent Dave Roemer. “Timed entry has proven to be a valuable tool in other popular national parks and should reduce congestion and wait times at the West Entrance to Going-to-the-Sun Road.”
West Entrance
One timed entry reservation per vehicle will be required to travel Going-to-the-Sun Road beyond the Apgar Village area from June 13 through September 28, 2025, from 7 a.m. To 3 p.m. Visitors can enter before 7 a.m. Or after 3 p.m. Without a vehicle reservation. Like previous years, visitors with lodging, camping, transportation, or commercial activity reservations can access their intended service within the Going-to-the-Sun Road reservation area with proof of their reservation. Only commercial reservations that originate beyond the Apgar vehicle reservation checkpoint and west of Logan Pass will provide entry in place of a vehicle reservation.
As a reminder, lodging, camping (including Fish Creek and Apgar campgrounds), and commercial activity reservations originating in Apgar will not provide access beyond the Apgar vehicle reservation check point. .
North Fork
One timed entry reservation per vehicle will be required at the Polebridge entrance station June 13 through September 28, 2025, from 7 a.m. To 3 p.m. Visitors can enter before 7 a.m. Or after 3 p.m. Without a vehicle reservation. A reservation is not required to access the community of Polebridge which is located outside the park entrance.
Two Medicine Valley and St. Mary
As in 2024, vehicle reservations will not be required to enter Two Medicine Valley or the St. Mary entrance to Going-to-the-Sun Road in 2025. Entry may be temporarily restricted at certain times of day (typically between 10 a.m. And 2 p.m.) when areas become too congested. Visitors with service reservations (e.g., boat tours, lodging, horseback ride, guided hikes) in these areas will be permitted entry during temporary restrictions.
Many Glacier Valley
As the park has previously announced, the Swiftcurrent area of Many Glacier Valley will be closed to public access during the summer of 2025 due to ongoing construction. The closure will greatly reduce the amount of available parking in Many Glacier Valley. The park is currently researching access alternatives for the valley in 2025. More information about 2025 visitor access options will be announced in a separate news release.

Zhangjiajie national forest park: It is a famous tourism destination in Hunan province which was officially recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1992. The pillar-like formation seen through the park are the result of many years of erosion. With over 90% forest coverage, the scenic area comprises Yuanjiajie, Yangjiajie, Jinbian Stream and Wulongzhai. The minority culture and folklores are represented in nearby villages and towns, inhabited by Tujia, Bai, Miao and Hui people, making worthwhile side trips. Yuanjiajie(include the Hallelujah mountain): Yuanjiajie is in the northern corner of Zhangjiajie National Park. This area is famous and popular for its Hallelujah mountain, named after Avatar's floating rocks. Mt.Tianzishan: It is known for 4 natural spectacles--the clouds of mist that circle the peaks of the mountain, the amazing views of the rising sun, the moonlit nights and snowcapped winter peaks. Take the cable to Tianzi mountain to enjoy the views upway and relax. Bailong sightseeing elevator: It is the highest and fastest sightseeing elevator in the world and provides a spectacular view of the sandstone peak forest. It has a height of 335 meters and can carry 3,000 people an hour in the three transparent elevators. It only takes1.5mins to travel to the top of the mountain.

Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon with Glass bridge: Zhangjiajie grand canyon is a recently-developed natural wonderland. It incorporates mountains, streams, caves,cliffs and forest. The world's longest & highest glass bridge is also located in this scenic area. Walking on the glass bottom bridge that is 300 meters above the ground will be the coolest experience of your tour! Baofeng lake Relax on a Boat at Baofeng Lake (1 Hour) Then drive to Baofeng Lake, which is in a basin in the middle of this mountainous area. You'll enjoy a 30-minute ride in a wooden boat. It is a leisurely experience as you cruise along the clear water, view hills of various shapes, and enjoy listening to local minority people singing their traditional songs.

Tianmen mountain: Regarded as the "Soul" of Zhangjiajie, Tianmen mountain is the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie. The views include graceful ancient trees, karst hillocks and long roads that are carved from the sides of the cliff. The cable car takes 30 mins from the city center to the mountain top and is the longest cable in the world.

Cómo llegar

I wish to inform on how seriously frustrated and disappointed I am about my recent experience with Klass Wagen.
I did make a reservation for 9 días; 1st of May till the 9th of May under OTP-520114228711 booking reference for Jose Manuel Mariño in Bucarest Otopeni airport.
From the first moment my family and myself did arrive to the main offices, located near the airport, we were almost forced to select a FULL insurance package, with an extra cost of 166€ in total, when I did already have one with Economy car rental , from which I was making the car reservation. At the beginning the conversations and treat from Klass Wagen partners in the office was correct, until we reach the moment to discuss the FULL insurance package. From Klass Wagen staff we did receive different alert notifications with images warning examples, on what could happen if I was not selecting this option. (500€ extra penalty for small scratches). Klass Wagen staff wanted really to scare us. From the moment we did informed that we were not interested in this option the attitude from Klass Wagen partners to my family and myself change drastically, in which we still had some last warning alerts forcing me to select this FULL insurance package, (that we have never experienced in any rental car provider before).
So we didn´t select this FULL insurance package even do the alert messages from Klass wagen staff as we had already had one, and as the cost was super high. In this moment, the Klass Wagen staff did inform that we needed to make pictures all over the car, being this the first time on my whole life I am requested to do this, and honestly, we have been renting cars from a long time. We did make lots of pictures from the areas of the outside & inside car while we were checking the car with Klass wagen staff. After a long process that my family and myself had to suffered, in which we found 50 scratches, my family and myself we were able to leave the office.
Then yesterday, 9th of May when we did return the car back, we needed before returning the same, to clean the same from the inside and outside from a professional place as requested by Klass Wagen with warning advises if we were not doing this. Again, this is something that is the first time my family and myself have been requested, to look for a Car wash place in a country is not ours and that you are visiting on holidays.
After checking again ALL the mention previously 50 scratches + new possible ones, Klass Wagen staff informed to my family and myself that there was a new one that was not reported when the booking started. Klass Wagen staff requested to us if we did had an image on that area, unfortunately we didn´t had no picture from that specific area, (from the 60 pictures we did made, we were not having anyone from that specific area, as is impossible to make pictures of ALL inside & outside areas of car as you can imagine! Anyhow the scratch in concrete was super thin, not even done with a tree leaf as I can show on the below image. I have to say that there were other scratches on the car that Klass Wagen staff didn´t included on the initial contract that were the same as this one! Klass Wagen staff informed that was not possible to add ALL mini & tiny scratches around the car as there were thousands for real!
Having said this, Klass Wagen staff after discussing for a long time include this new area as a scratch, as we were not having an image on that specific area. Anyhow, what was more frustrated for my family and myself was that Klass Wagen was willing to add any new scratches, and if it was not that mention one, was going to be a different one for sure, that was the perception that we had from the service.
I need to say that we haven´t made that scratch, as ALL the time the car was parked on inside parking’s, and we never access any area in which the car was possible to be hit by leaf trees. Anyhow Klass Wagen at this point can charge whatever... ➡️ Leer más ...

Tenia vuelo para ayer de Bilbao hasta Atenas con Aegean, nadie me ha dicho que se cancelaba, mando correos a la compañía y solo me mandaban posibilidad de cambio de fechas pero desde Bilbao no habia mas vuelos, llamo por teléfono y es imposible contactar con nadie, llevo así dos meses o mas intentando contactar y en ninguno de los teléfonos consigo hablar con nadie. Ya no se que puedo hacer. Alguien está en la misma situación?
Me parece muy fuerte que no puedas contactar de ninguna manera. He recordado que estos me enviaron alguna carta y la he rescatado de la papelera. Vole con ellos a Chipre en Navidad del año pasado. El mail es del 18 de mayo... que los tickets entre el 18 e mayo y 15 de junio tienen flexibilidad. Seguro que lo sabes, pero por si acaso.

Having as absolute priority the health and safety of our passengers and employees and in close cooperation with the authorities, we have already modified the procedures in place for boarding, both at the gate and for aircraft access, and our inflight service. We have also reinforced the protocols for cleaning and disinfecting our aircraft. The use of a face mask has become obligatory for both our passengers and our crews, and from now on, only one personal item will be allowed in the cabin. Furthermore, the last 3 rows of seats will be kept vacant in case we should need to isolate a passenger with potential symptoms. During the week you will receive detailed information of all the protective measures and new procedures that we will be putting in place within the framework of new protocols for safe travelling.
From today, as travel restrictions to the mainland and the island of Crete have been lifted and from next week, to all the Greek islands, we are ready to fly together on our domestic network.
We are getting ready to gradually restore international operations in the coming weeks and months. Initially we plan to restart operations with a limited schedule from Athens to Munich, Frankfurt, Geneva, and Zurich. At the same time, we shall increase flights operating to Brussels, which is the only international destination that we didn’t suspend. Soon, more destinations will be added.
As we adapt to a new way of travelling, we are adjusting our tickets accordingly so that you can travel with more flexibility and confidence. All new tickets issued between 18th May and 15th June 2020, and regardless of flight dates, will have the benefits of the FLEX fare category, so that you can have one piece of checked luggage free of charge and also the option to change your ticket without rebooking fees.

For all of us in the family of AEGEAN and Olympic Air, 2020 started on a high, with optimism and vision for the new year and our next steps.
Unfortunately, the unprecedented situation we have all been faced with during the last three months, has forced us to give up doing what we love most, flying with you. We have had to stop flying with you, but we never stopped flying for you, stepping in to be by your side every time we were asked to, no matter how far we had to fly, to bring back to Greece whatever was needed.
Greece has successfully tackled the first phase of the health crisis, making us all very proud of what we have achieved together.
In keeping with the successful national efforts made so far, we are working diligently to face the new challenges raised by the pandemic. Having as absolute priority the health and safety of our passengers and employees and in close cooperation with the authorities, we have already modified the procedures in place for boarding, both at the gate and for aircraft access, and our inflight service. We have also reinforced the protocols for cleaning and disinfecting our aircraft. The use of a face mask has become obligatory for both our passengers and our crews, and from now on, only one personal item will be allowed in the cabin. Furthermore, the last 3 rows of seats will be kept vacant in case we should need to isolate a passenger with potential symptoms. During the week you will receive detailed information of all the protective measures and new procedures that we will be putting in place within the framework of new protocols for safe travelling.
From today, as travel restrictions to the mainland and the island of Crete have been lifted and from next week, to all the Greek islands, we are ready to fly together on our domestic network.
We are getting ready to gradually restore international operations in the coming weeks and months. Initially we plan to restart operations with a limited schedule from Athens to Munich, Frankfurt, Geneva, and Zurich. At the same time, we shall increase flights operating to Brussels, which is the only international destination that we didn’t suspend. Soon, more destinations will be added.
As we adapt to a new way of travelling, we are adjusting our tickets accordingly so that you can travel with more flexibility and confidence. All new tickets issued between 18th May and 15th June 2020, and regardless of flight dates, will have the benefits of the FLEX fare category, so that you can have one piece of checked luggage free of charge and also the option to change your ticket without rebooking fees.

The connection from Mara to Serengeti (and v.v.), is offered in conjunction with Coastal Aviation and is accessible via Migori (on the Kenyan side) and Tarime (on the Tanzanian side) near the border point of Isabania. The connection involves a short scenic road transfer between the two strips of Migori and Tarime, it is a convenient and time saving option for clients wanting to experience both the Serengeti and Masai Mara.
The service commenced in January 2012 and operates during the high seasons only from Mid December to end March and beginning of July to end of October each year. During these periods, the service operates daily subject to minimum 2 pax per strip, starting from the Tanzanian side with Coastal Aviation picking clients from the various strips in Serengeti (according to number of pax booked) from approximately 0820 and arriving at Tarime by 1025. There is a road transfer via Isabania border point for immigration clearance, before proceeding to Migori on the Kenyan side, where clients will connect onto the Safarilink flight to Masai Mara departing at 1215.
The reverse of this schedule from Masai Mara to Serengeti departs the Mara at 1130 to arrive at Migori at 1200 where clients are met for the road transfer to Tarime via Isabania. Arrival at Tarime is approximately 1330 to meet the Coastal aircraft that departs at 1400 for the Serengeti destinations.
...volaremos a Can Tho, en lugar de Saigón. Hay un vuelo por la tarde, sobre las 17:30. La noche en Can Tho, es para verla, y cenar en su mercado, y aprovechar para pasear por el puerto, en búsqueda de un bote para el día siguiente, ir hasta los mercados flotantes de Cai Rang y Phong Dien, y una vuelta por los canales, para terminar sobre las 9:30 o la hora que nos aconsejen y dar una vuelta para ver algunos puntos de interés en Can Tho.
un poco mas tarde, y aun no he acordado la hora, un coche con conductor, o con conductor y guía, nos recogerá. He contactado con una guía llamada San, con muy buena fama en tripadvisor, y me ha gustado, porque ha captado enseguida lo que busco. La idea es ir a Xeo quit, lo que fue la antigua base del Vietcong que los americanos nunca pudieron localizar, en una jungla bastante espesa. Adjunto un video de youtube donde se puede ver
De ahi, iremos a Sa Dec, el pueblo de las flores, o la Venecia vietnamita, como la llaman, por las plantaciones de flores, el paisaje es muy bonito. Tiene un mercado muy interesante, y la casa Huyn, famosa por ser la casa del La casa del adinerado chino que protagoniza la novela autobiográfica «El amante (1984)», de Marguerite Duras, y que ahora es monumento nacional. Tras una vuelta por Sa Dec, nos dejarán en Chau Doc, que también tiene mucha vidilla.
Día 2. Chau Doc. Por la mañana, visita en barco a un pequeño mercado flotante, una granja de peces (esto no lo tengo tan claro), una villa Cham, y el bosque de Tra Su, que es lo que realmente quiero ver aquí, ademas de la Pagoda de la cueva en la montaña SAM y alguna otra cosa antes de volver a Chau Doc.
Es un itinerario distinto, y que tengo que completar, pero lo pongo ya por si es de interés.
