Tengo ya ganas de irme, pero aun quedan unos 3 meses...

Estoy pensando ir este verano (solo puedo en Agosto) a IBO (cerca de Pemba (en Mozambique) para visitar a mi cuñada que está en una ONG. Aprovechando el viaje, estoy pensando pasar por Sudafrica y visitar el parque Kruger. Pero no se como hacerlo.

Mi idea es coger el vuelo directo a Johannesburgo y desde allí ir directamente al aeropuerto del Kruger (estar 3 días en el parque) y coger ya algún vuelo que me lleve a Mozambique.

En total quiero estar unos 10 u 11 días de viaje.

No se como lo veis. Sobre los vuelos, donde hospedarme en el kurger, si necesito coche (preferia no utilizarlo), por que puerta entrar. En fin que estoy muy verde.

La mejor opción es que vueles a JNB y alquilar un coche. Para Kruger no necesitas un 4x4 así que calcula unos 20 euros/día. Si solo vas 3 días, dedícalos a la zona sur del parque, desde Skukuza hacia el sur.

Puedes dormir dentro del parque en los camping de SANParks (google), donde tienes varias opciones de alojamientos. Depende de lo que te quieras gastar. Como vas en agosto, date prisa con las reservas porque hay muchos camping que ya estan llenos. Y segun la disponibilidad de alojamiento puedes entrar por una u otra puerta (en agosto cierran a las 6pm).

Conocéis la empresa Tydon Safaris ? Me ofrecen por unos 500 euros recogerme en johannesb y pasar de safari 3 dias/2 noches. No se si son serios y si el precio esta bien.

Así de primeras es un robo a mano armada. Que te ofrecen exactamente? Te incluyen alojamientos (cuales?), comidas, game drives, walk guides....?

Doy por supuesto ,que el safari se hace en el parque kruger, no..? o es en una reserva privada.?
Safaris hay de todos los precios y este tiene que ir de acuerdo ,sobre todo con el alojamiento,y la comida fundamentalmente ,aunque también con la pericia del guia y la cantidad de gente que va en el vehiculo.......
Ten en cuenta ,que de j´burg al kruger pierdes media mañana y a la vuelta igual...si tienes tiempo y ganas ,alquilar un carro tres días ,lo puedes alquilar,por menos de 100 e en el aeropuerto( con gps).
Alojamiento tres días ..unos 100 E ...los dos -50 por persona -gasolina y comida unos 100 mas...la entrada del parque 50 mas por cabeza
Así que calculo que por tu cuenta ,te puede costar entre 200-3oo por persona tres días....

Leyendo esto, creo que es mejor hacerlo por tu cuenta. Te alojan en un 2-bed chalet en Skukuza, que sale a unos 75euros/noche mientras que si vas tu puedes quedarte en una safari tent por 37 euros/noche (aunque con baño compartido). Que te den desayuno y cena esta bien, pero no te incluyen las bebidas. En Skukuza hay varios sitios para comer, así que eso no seria un problema.

Ahora bien, lo que si me parece un poco timo es que pagas esa pasta para que solo te lleven a ver animales al amanecer y al atardecer...y te vas a quedar el resto del día tirado en el camping? Yendo solo 2 días y pagando 500 euros? Mi recomendación es que cojas un coche por tu cuenta y te pases desde que amanece hasta que se pone el sol recorriendo el parque. Es la unica manera de exprimir al maximo ese tiempo.

Por lo leido ,estoy seguro que por tu cuenta ,lo puedes hacer mucho mas barato ,aunque habria que sumarle al presupiesto ,que te comente ,las salidas por la mañana y noche ,que si son 4, seran unos 100E mas por cabeza...,

Si no te quieres liar mucho ,y prefieres que te lo den hecho ,tampoco esta tan mal ,al medio día puedes hacer una caminata a pie ,o alguna actividad ,aunque eso representa dinero...y si no piscina al medio día o leer un rato, o recoger leña...siempre se puede hacer alguna cosilla ,solo son dos días.
Si quieres ver el kruger mas detenidamente ,entonces si que te diria que te cogieras un carro y te lo recorrieras de norte a sur aunque ,asi necesitarias muchos mas días ...
Como experiencia si es tu primer safari,puede estar bien ,te confieso que mi primer safari me salio mas caro,pero lo disfrute como una bestia ...asi que depende de lo que quieras hacer,de las dos maneras seguro que te lo pasaras bien y se te quedara la misma cara que se nos queda a todos cuando avandonamos el kruger...

Flotas y Mambo de nuevo muchas gracias, es mi primer Safari y estoy muy verde. Lo del coche según me decís es lo mejor pero me horroriza circular con el volante a la derecha. Me lo voy a pensar.

Si te horroriza lo del carro ,no te lo pienses entonces ,lo que no debes hacer es renunciar al safari,para mi es lo mejor del viaje...

Hola vivid se puede hacer por tu cuenta perfectamente. Nosotros lo hicimos, aunque un día cogimos un safari organizado y es el día que pudimos ver los "big five" en un solo día.
