Pues he entrado para ver si era algo habitual en reservas de booking que el apartamento pida la tarjeta para hacer el cargo para verificarla. Esta mañana he visto un apartamento sospechosamente barato en booking, como no perdía nada y el pago era en el establecimiento, he reservado con una tarjea prepago. Me aparece el mensaje con el tfn y nombre de la persona a la que tenía que enviar un was para continuar con la reserva indicando: Nombre, Nombre del alojamiento y importe total. Es la primera vez que reservaba en booking así que tardé unas horas en ver este mensaje, y justo cuando envío el was recibo un email de booking que habían cancelado la reserva, y otro del establecimiento informandome de ello.
A la hora y media, recibo email de la persona de contacto del apartamento, indicandome que habían recibido mail de booking informandoles que no pudieron confirmar mi tarjeta y mi reserva sería cancelada. Me da un link con unas indicaciones para continuar con la reserva, donde tengo que introducir los datos de mi tarjeta y que para su verificación me deducirán el importe de la reserva y al minuto me devolverían el dinero, que sería solo para verificarla. Esto lo tenía que hacer en 1h para que no se cancelara mi reserva (que ya se había cancelado. Como ya me olía a e**(AutoEdit)**a desde el principio, abrí e link que aparentemente era la página de booking donde pones tu nombre y datos de la tarjeta completa, pero llamé a booking para informarme del motivo de la cancelación y del was que me habían enviado.
El chico que me atendió me dijo que la reserva se había cancelado por parte de booking por sospecha de fraude (no se si de mi persona o del apartamento) y que estaba en investigación, que como ya aparecía cancelado que no hacía falta que pusiera datos de tarjeta en ningún sitio.
Vuelve a enviarme nuevamente el apartamento un pantallazo que dice: Reported by bookin.com, the credit card didn`t pass our first validation process so it was market as invalid by our system. If he guest doesn´t provide new credit card details within 5 hours you`ll be able to cancel this reservation.
Y insiste en que tengo que introducir la tarjeta para continuar con la reserva.
El apartamento cuando me mandaron el email de que se había cancelado, ya no aparecía en la página de booking.
Al final no se si esto será una e**(AutoEdit)**a o no porque he leído que muchos hoteles hacen una retención del importe de la reserva por seguridad, pero viendo que el precio era demasiado bajo y que ya aparece cancelado en booking decidí no introducir los datos de mi tarjeta.
El chico que me atendió de booking me dijo que no pasaba nada por poner una tarjeta prepago si el sistema la aceptaba....esto no se si es así o podría ser la causa de la cancelación realmente.
El apartamento es en Amsterdam, donde los alojamientos son carisísimos nos está costando mucho encontrar algo que podamos asumir.
La pena es que booking no informe del motivo de la cancelación, de si es por tema de tarjeta, o posible fraude establecimiento, y así al menos salir de dudas si lo que me dice la chica del apartamento es cierto o no.
No se si a alguien mas le ha pasado esto recientemente, pero mi primera experiencia con booking no ha sido muy buena

I wish to inform on how seriously frustrated and disappointed I am about my recent experience with Klass Wagen.
I did make a reservation for 9 días; 1st of May till the 9th of May under OTP-520114228711 booking reference for Jose Manuel Mariño in Bucarest Otopeni airport.
From the first moment my family and myself did arrive to the main offices, located near the airport, we were almost forced to select a FULL insurance package, with an extra cost of 166€ in total, when I did already have one with Economy car rental , from which I was making the car reservation. At the beginning the conversations and treat from Klass Wagen partners in the office was correct, until we reach the moment to discuss the FULL insurance package. From Klass Wagen staff we did receive different alert notifications with images warning examples, on what could happen if I was not selecting this option. (500€ extra penalty for small scratches). Klass Wagen staff wanted really to scare us. From the moment we did informed that we were not interested in this option the attitude from Klass Wagen partners to my family and myself change drastically, in which we still had some last warning alerts forcing me to select this FULL insurance package, (that we have never experienced in any rental car provider before).
So we didn´t select this FULL insurance package even do the alert messages from Klass wagen staff as we had already had one, and as the cost was super high. In this moment, the Klass Wagen staff did inform that we needed to make pictures all over the car, being this the first time on my whole life I am requested to do this, and honestly, we have been renting cars from a long time. We did make lots of pictures from the areas of the outside & inside car while we were checking the car with Klass wagen staff. After a long process that my family and myself had to suffered, in which we found 50 scratches, my family and myself we were able to leave the office.
Then yesterday, 9th of May when we did return the car back, we needed before returning the same, to clean the same from the inside and outside from a professional place as requested by Klass Wagen with warning advises if we were not doing this. Again, this is something that is the first time my family and myself have been requested, to look for a Car wash place in a country is not ours and that you are visiting on holidays.
After checking again ALL the mention previously 50 scratches + new possible ones, Klass Wagen staff informed to my family and myself that there was a new one that was not reported when the booking started. Klass Wagen staff requested to us if we did had an image on that area, unfortunately we didn´t had no picture from that specific area, (from the 60 pictures we did made, we were not having anyone from that specific area, as is impossible to make pictures of ALL inside & outside areas of car as you can imagine! Anyhow the scratch in concrete was super thin, not even done with a tree leaf as I can show on the below image. I have to say that there were other scratches on the car that Klass Wagen staff didn´t included on the initial contract that were the same as this one! Klass Wagen staff informed that was not possible to add ALL mini & tiny scratches around the car as there were thousands for real!
Having said this, Klass Wagen staff after discussing for a long time include this new area as a scratch, as we were not having an image on that specific... Leer más ...

Around 80% of travellers arriving at Iceland’s Keflavík International Airport now present certificates of vaccination against COVID-19 or antibody certificates for the disease. The two groups are currently required to undergo a single COVID-19 test upon arrival to the country, but Health Minister Svandís Svavarsdóttir stated they will no longer be required to do so from June 15. Mbl.is reported first.
“As has been the case, vaccinated people and those who present a certificate of previous infection are exempt from quarantine upon arrival in the country. This group is growing steadily and now accounts for about 80% of all arriving passengers at Keflavík Airport,” Svandís stated in an oral report on the status of vaccinations and infection prevention in the Icelandic Parliament yesterday. “The aim is to stop taking samples from this group from mid-June.”
Certificates to Be Examined Before Boarding
The Minister of Health also stated that Transport Minister Sigurður Ingi Jóhannsson would issue regulations requiring flight operators to examine passengers’ certificates before boarding. “This could significantly reduce the load and processing speed at Keflavík Airport,” Svandís stated. COVID-19 related certificates will be issued in a co-ordinated fashion within the EEA countries and Switzerland, Svandís added. “It’s expected that these certificates will be in use from July 1 and Iceland is already technically prepared to take part in a pilot project that will begin in the next few days.”
A May 17 memorandum from the Chief Epidemiologist stated that from April 1, 2021, the percentage of vaccinated travellers that tested positive for COVID-19 was 0.08% and those with antibody certificates was 0.2%. It is likely those figures are lower now as the incidence rate at the border has dropped since.

The first draft by the Ministry included a licensing fee of USD 50,000 applicable for the issuance of the safe tourism license along with USD 100 visa fee and a $100 charge for a compulsory PCR Test upon arrival.

Global Coronavirus Outbreak
The current outbreak of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) was first reported from Wuhan, China, on 31st December 2019. This outbreak has since been reported widely in the media and by authorities such as the World Health Organisation (WHO), and it continues to make headlines around the world.
The detail below is provided as a guide to cover eligibility in respect of Columbus Direct policies (for our English language policies for residents of Europe and the Middle East) and the novel coronavirus outbreak. Cover under each policy will be dependent on a number of things including the date the policy was purchased (or trip was booked, whichever is the later), the destination of travel and government travel advisories. Cover is subject to the standard policy terms and claims will be assessed on a case by case basis.
Some general points:
If you purchased a policy or booked a trip after 31st January 2020 there will be no cover for Coronavirus under any section of the policy
On 31st January 2020, the WHO deemed this event an international health emergency. As of that date we consider this to be a known event globally. As such there will be no cover for any claims related to the Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) for any policy purchased or trip booked after that date.
There is no cover under any section of a policy if you travel to an area or country for which the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, the World Health Organisation or equivalent authority of your Country of Residence has advised against all travel or all but essential travel, even if you purchased the policy prior.
If you purchased your policy before such a travel advisory prevented you from travelling, we advise you in the first instance to contact your airline, accommodation and tour providers immediately to assess your cancellation or rescheduling entitlements. For any outstanding out of pocket expenses, you should submit a claim.

A very common, oft-repeated mantra among pundits and “experts” is that Muslims haven’t roundly condemned the extremism committed in Islam’s name. So many times, we hear people saying, “Where are the Muslim voices in condemnation?” “Why aren’t Muslims speaking up against extremists like ISIS?”
Well, the fact is, Muslims have been speaking out against ISIS and other extremist groups. The problem is, some times, people either don’t know or choose not to know this fact. Arab League: “Strongly Denounced” The “Crimes Against Humanity” Carried Out By The Islamic State. On August 11, Nabil al-Arabi, the Arab League Chief, denounced acts committed by the Islamic State in Iraq as “crimes against humanity,” demanding that they be brought to justice. We rented a vOLKSVAGEN Caravelle vehicle during our stay for one week in Croatia and we decided to hire a full insurance. The first incident was that the lighter wasn´t working when we picked-up the car at the airport, they told us they haven’t had the time to review the car and they lent us a GPS “solving” this matter.
The next problem was in the second day when one of the doors broke down, forcing us to get on/off the car through the back door; we reported the problem and they asked us to go to their nearest office in Split...
During next day, before getting to their office, a lot of smoke began coming from the car, we called them immediately and they asked us to continue driving to their office in Split (we thought it was not very safe to drive with the car in those conditions, but we did what they asked). When we arrived to Split they didn’t have a car with similar characteristics than the Caravelle and we had to accept a smaller one. After that, we continued our travel without more incidents and we returned the car at the end of the trip.
A few days after our return to Madrid, Avant Car charged 1.632,63€ from our credit card without permission and sent a bill for “burned clutch”. The clutch is a piece that suffers from all the different drivers, so the breakdown was not our fault at all. Moreover, we had paid for a full insurance/Super Damage Waiver that should cover the breakdown.
We made a formal complaint more than a month ago with no reply, we’re still with the legal procedure.
