Dejamos atrás el Triángulo Cultural que vimos en vídeos anteriores y ponemos rumbo al Sur, hacia las famosas playas del Sur de la isla. Pero para ello es necesario atravesar el interior desconocido de Sri Lanka y, claro, a 40 km/h que va un tuktuk no es algo que se haga en un día.

A nosotros nos llevó dos días alcanzar la Torre de Ambuluwawa, a una hora al Sur de Kandy.

Siempre nos han gustado las construcciones raras y ésta vaya si lo es. Una torre diseñada por algún chalado, dicho con todo el cariño y respeto, pero no se puede estar en su sano juicio para idear un monumento como éste, sin pies ni cabeza, por lo menos para nosotros, que hemos sido educado en la rígida y férrea mentalidad europea, dónde todo tiene que tener su lógica, sus medidas de seguridad, sus ascensores, su estricta normativa...y nada de ello se puede ver aquí en esta torre.

Por eso nos gustan tanto estos países, con tanta libertad para soñar y crear cualquier edificio. Porqué poner límites a la creación. A quién no le guste que no vaya, que no suba a la torre, pero ojalá Europa y sus legisladores nos permitirían disfrutar proyectando, jugando a ser niños de nuevo, dónde los límites solo los pone la imaginación y no el articulo tal del Código tal....

Al relevancia de esta torre no es solo su edificio insignia, sino los motivos de su creación, ya que fue un proyecto para promover la paz y la armonía en esta región. Se ideó como un símbolo de la unidad y diversidad cultural de Sri Lanka y el complejo incluye un templo budista, un templo hindú, una capilla cristina y una mezquita.

On this occasion we say hello to our dear friends the hummingbirds!

We leave behind the Cultural Triangle that we saw in previous videos and head south, towards the famous beaches in the south of the island. But to do this it is necessary to cross the unknown interior of Sri Lanka and, of course, a tuktuk traveling at 40 km/h is not something that can be done in a day.

It took us two days to reach the Ambuluwawa tower, an hour south of Kandy.

We have always liked strange constructions and this one is it. A tower designed by some crazy person, said with all the love and respect, but you cannot be in your right mind to devise a monument like this, without head or tail, at least for us, who have been educated in the rigid and iron European mentality, where everything has to have its logic, its security, its elevators, its strict regulations... and none of this can be seen here measured in this tower.

That's why we like these countries so much, with so much freedom to dream and create any building. Why put limits on creation. Who doesn't like that they don't go, that they don't climb the tower, but I wish Europe and its legislators would allow us to enjoy projecting, playing at being children again, where the limits are only set by the imagination and not by such article of the Code as such. . ....

The relevance of this tower is not only its flagship building, but also the reasons for its creation, since it was a project to promote peace and harmony in this region. It was designed as a symbol of Sri Lanka's cultural unity and diversity and the complex includes a Buddhist temple, a Hindu temple, a Christian chapel and a mosque.

මහනුවර සිට පැයක් දකුණින් පිහිටි අම්බුළුවාව කුළුණට ළඟා වීමට අපට දින දෙකක් ගත විය.

අපි හැම විටම අමුතු ඉදිකිරීම් වලට කැමති වූ අතර මෙයයි. පිස්සෙක් විසින් නිර්මාණය කරන ලද කුළුණක් ඉතා ආදරයෙන් හා ගෞරවයෙන් කීවද, අඩුම තරමින් දරදඬු හා යකඩින් උගත් අපටවත් හිසක් හෝ වලිගයක් නොමැතිව මෙවැනි ස්මාරකයක් නිර්මාණය කිරීමට ඔබේ මනසේ සිටිය නොහැක. යුරෝපීය මානසිකත්වය, සෑම දෙයකටම එහි තර්කනය, එහි ආරක්ෂාව, එහි විදුලි සෝපාන, එහි දැඩි රෙගුලාසි ... මේ කිසිවක් මෙම කුළුණෙන් මනින ලද බවක් මෙහි දැකිය නොහැක.
