cierto manumu esta en jodphur, siempre leo quejas de este tipo, no es normal pagar allí por adelantado, me refiero a si se puede hacer, para evitar esta especie de timo.
Me explico solo te dan la opción de pagar el ultimo día o es la costumbre. Porque con todo lo que he leido la gente siempre se queja de lo mismo y digo yo si pago antes con factura de lo pagado,por supuesto. No es mejor?
Supongo que si lo pides expresamente lo puedas pagar antes, pero a mi siempre me decían que al final, porque muchas veces comes algo en el restaurante, o pides una botella de agua, o usas internet... De todas formas lo que le ha pasado a Manumu no es lo normal.
Yo estaba en Udaipur en el Green Hills. En lo alto con vista al lago.
3 Estrellas con atico arriba para desayunar y cenar.
Estaban moderna la habitaciones. El precio sobre 20 y pico de Euros.
Creo que hemos pagado esto durante todas las vacaciones, hasta max. 30Euros y era temporada alta.(menos en Agra)
En Jodhpur estuvimos en un Guesthouse que parecio un museo jejeje, nada recomendable! Los demas estaban bien, Heritage etc.
En Agra estuvimos en el Hotel Taj, pero solo de 4 Estrellas. Andando pudimos ir a ver el Taj Mahal que estaba justo bajando la calle a 10min.
El Hotel por dentro precioso, pero me esperaba mas del desayuno.
Este nos costaba mas de 35E la noche.

En Agra no tengo ningún sitio reseñable que recomendar.
En Delhi nos quedamos en el Grand Godwin, pero ese es un hotel "caro". Nos dimos el "capricho" como recompensa a unos días bastante durillos que tuvimos hasta llegar a Delhi.
Y en Jaipur te recomiendo (casi te diría que si no quedas satisfecho te devuelvo el dinero, pero en India nunca se sabe, jejeje) el Hotel Pearl Palace.
La habitación donde nos quedamos estaba impoluta (el inodoro estaba precintado!!! jajaja), el trato excelente, y el restaurante magnífico. Si vas prueba los momos y el chicken afghani!
Yo también voto por el Pearl Palace, no pudimos quedarnos porque estaba lleno, pero las cenas y los desayunos los haciamos allí y genial. El ambientillo de la noche es esa azotea es para repetir.

Yo si vuelvo a Varanasi me quedaré en el mismo en el que estuve, el Scindhia Guest House. Limpio, gente amable y barato, además esta junto al Manikarnika Ghat, el crematorio principal, con lo que ves todo el trajín.

Muy cerca de donde te comenta Oso_Panda, en el mismo Ghat a unos 30 metros esta la Guest house Santhaka, bastante limpia.

Pues está muy bien, ponle como un buen 3 estrellas de aquí, y el desayuno a mi me gustó mucho. Lo único mejorable para mi fue el suelo, que estaba limpio para lo que es India, pero se veía algo de polvillo y tal. Pero vamos, que está muy bien.

Nos vamos el 7 de octubre para india y me acbaan de mandar este mail. No me entero muy bien si es que no tienen camas, o que pasa. O simplemente que estan cerrados. Alguien me puede echar una mano porque me he quedado un poco asustado. Es en goa en la playa de palolem. Saludoss y gracias si me podeis ayudar

With great regrets we are mailing you in regards with the reservation you have with us.The Govt of Tourism had informed us earlier that we(all beach accommodations) would be getting our licences earlier for this season and hence we would start the season by the 1st October.As a result of which we had allowed you to make a reservation with us.
Just yesterday 08/09/11, we had received another Verbal notification from the Tourism stating that the licences would not be issued before the 15th October,which means we will only be open up by the 1st Nov.Now this again is just a verbal notification and not 100% confirmed.Now as you can see that there is nothing in our hands as it is completely handled by the Govt (we are however trying our level best in all possible means to get this issue resolved).So we are mailing all the guests booked in Oct to be on a safer side,as worst come to worst we will have to open by the 1st NOV.
So in a step trying to help to make some arrangements with your reservation we are going to offer you a couple of options.But you will still have to bare another fact in mind,which is if this issue does not get resolved than the restaurant and Bar too would not be open for your stay,there are few open on the beach though.
1. We can refund the full deposit you have paid in and give you the first preference for the next dates(should you wish to alter your dates).
2. We have accommodation in the main house as the alternative accommodation for you for your dates,which means that you can still stay with us for your holiday,but you will need to confirm the options at your earliest,as we have to inform the others too.We are mailing you first as you were among the first people to book.
Once again,we are extremely sorry for all of this,but as you can see that we would not be doin this on purpose and that this is solely handled by the Govt.Rest assured that we shall try our level best till the end,and if things get resolved then the booking will stay as originally booked.

Todo parece indicar que no tienen concedida la licencia de apertura por parte del gobierno, con la cual cosa no te pueden garantizar que puedas alojarte con ellos. No pueden asegurarte la apertura hasta principios de noviembre. Te ofrecen un par de soluciones: o bien reemborsarte el depósito pagado en su día y cambiar las fechas, si así lo deseas, o bien ofrecerte alojamiento en su edificio principal. Si prefieres esta segunda opción, debes comunicarlo pronto porque es lo que van a ofrecer a todos los afectados en tu misma situación. Espero haberte ayudado. Saludos.

Después de haber estado en la India y Nepal ha principios de este mes de Septiembre quisiera comentar, para el conocimiento e información de todos los compis de viaje que usamos este foro, que con el tema de los hoteles ya sabemos que para nosotros un 5 estrellas para ellos es un tres estrellas o como mucho un cuatro, por lo que nos os sorprendais al llegar a vuestra dulce morada
Yo al haber hecho el viaje por agencia y en pareja pues he tenido que ceder y decantarme por la opción de lujo en el tema de los hoteles. La verdad que para mi gusto era un 5 estrellas normal de los de aquí pero lo peor de todo viene con el tema de las comidas en la cena que no estaban incluídas y la mala fortuna hizo que en la India no nos cuadrada ningún hotel cerca de algún centro comercial o calle concurrida de restaurante y bares por lo que vimos la necesidad de comer por la noche en el hotel en primera instancia y digo esto porque al pedir la carta de precios y ver por cuanto nos podría salir la broma, decidimos que lo mejor sería coger un taxi que los había en la puerta ansiosos de coger turista y decirle que nos llevara a algún restaurante de por la zona de precio no tan excesivo como el del hotel y la verdad que las noches que estuvimos en India no nos pudimos quejar de los sitios a donde cada uno de los diferentes taxistas no aconsejó, un 10 para ellos y sobre todo por el tema de precio que por lo que comía uno en el hotel al final por menos y todo comimos los dos
¿Alguien tiene alguna referencia del hotel Vrindavan en Fatehpur Sikri?
En la Lonely Planet mencionan otros tres: Hotel Ajay Palace, Goverdhan Hotel, y el Gulistan Tourist Complex. ¿Alguien los conoce? ¿Recomendable alguno?
